    super contenu. donc tu as essayé du fil de nichrome et c’était moins fiable ? pour 1 euro on sur aliexpress je reçois 10m et ça marche très bien mais j'ai une technique différente (wire wrapping au lieu de souder + trou dans une mèche rapide 3mm, nichrome dans le trou, cuivre ensuite)

    This Video is amazing! I will definitely try this! but is there any way to do this with steel wool? maybe like twistin 5 of those little strings together? i tried this, and it worked, but not everytime :/

    • @NicolasSalencPBP
      @NicolasSalencPBP  7 лет назад

      Hochgesprengt Well, the more strands you put together, the more heat is generated... However, it will also require more current to ger it hot.
      But like you said, it doesn't work every time... so stands from a steel wool pads aren't the best thing to use x)

    Hey pyro build Projects😉.
    very nice and informative Video I was searching so for so Long to find that kind of Video! Is it Worth to buy a light bulb or shall i buy nichrome wire? and whats the best thickness(Resistance) for nichrome wire to ignite?

    • @NicolasSalencPBP
      @NicolasSalencPBP  7 лет назад +1

      MrGraffitiTv To be honnest I haven't played around with nichrome that much so I can't tell you anything based on my personal experience, but in general, the thicker the wire, of course, the hotter it will burn, however, the more current it will require to heat up. I would highly recomend you got a few of those light bulbs off ebay, the filament burns way hotter than nichrome x)

      Olav Amh I have actually already tried to ignite a lift charge with pur armstrongs's mixture in a Nick match, and I had very little succes, it simply burned too fast... I have never tried adding sparklers to the mix though, so that may help with the ignition! Let me know how it turns out for you!

    instead expensive lights, just use filaments from steel wool. it is cheap

    • @goodmaro
      @goodmaro 3 года назад +1

      I agree. The point is made that it doesn't generate a lot of heat, but it's cheaply and easily obtained, and doesn't require such surgery as light bulb disassembly. To make up for its low heat output, I think a good sensitive starting fire composition is cost effective. The only knock on such practice is that such compos are sensitive to accidental ignition from friction or impact.
