MKF sure came a long a way. What was once a dead project soon made an unexpected return and now twice as big as it once was a decade ago. Good job MKF team! Keep up the good work! The finish line is slowly approaching!

IT IS. as a fan since i was a kid this is one of the most insane and content packed 2d platformers like ever. the crossovers are a fun gimmick but even without them its filled with awesome level design, and really fun characters!
yep, and it's way more polished now, everything is super smooth and the game is really open
@@eltiolavara9 i know i still play it! i actually didnt play it as a kid but i was still obsessed with the idea and would watch any let's play i could, because i was stupid and didnt know how to extract .zip files, and come up with my own ideas for levels and characters in my head.
i only finally got around to playing it a couple years ago and it was everything i dreamed it would be an more. nearly cried first playing it it honestly felt like a childhood dream come true.

@@eltiolavara9all that's left to do now is make the sprites not clash with each other. seriously, there's a bajillion artstyles and i wish it was more uniform
@@yeeoof1995 i don't think that's happening given the massive amount of work it'd take, and i kinda like how the clashing artstyles look
i'll say, i think the characters could maybe use some more uniform spriting tho
I have to say that this fan game is one of my favorites in terms of crossover since I learned about the project back in version 0.3 or 0.4, I have to say that it has become my favorite fan game And I will continue to support the fan game until the day it is completed and I truly congratulate the entire team that brought back this incredible project And a love letter to platform game lovers, there is undoubtedly a lot of talent in the team and I give all my support so that when they finish the project they feel satisfied and proud From participating in this great project and regarding what's new in this version I can only say that it is incredible and I really liked the update and especially the auto-save And it is a good addition since I think that a lot must have happened to forgetting to save the game and then closing the game and losing all the progress, well congratulations to the MKF team

This is basically bring your own class from doom but turned into a platformer
V0.88 out last month of comment, it's still going strong. Considerable work and new devs leading the charge I'm feeling completion is ever near
When I was in middle school I remember the first version of this releasing and always wanting to play this but had a really bad computer, last year at SAGE I was surprised to see that this was something after years I could finally play. This game has come a long way and I am definitely excited to stream this in full once it is finished

The sheer resilience of this project that just refuses to DIE is nothing short of amazing
The game impresses by sheer amount of content alone, and it's extremely playable to boot. heck, even the amount of goomba skins in the game alone is staggering.
I hope there are some big youtubers out there who take a look at the game (and more importantly, look at some of the stages outside of just the mario ones lol)
All Hail the Coalition! And their insanely designed characters! The newer characters have OP abilities, and Mario characters benefit from no knock back (in most cases) and the power of stomping on enemies. Reminds me of Super Mario Crossover, but WAY cooler.
We even get character cameos like Captain Falcon, Robot Masters, and I think Halo?! Amazing.
Had one of y’all come by my twitch stream yesterday and tell me about this game. Now I’ll be streaming it Friday and can’t wait!
i played a bit of it yesterday and was really blown away by how massively improved everything is, can't wait for 1.0!
EDIT: some bosses could really use some shortening though
EDIT 2: i beat half of the levels in the whole ass game because it was just that fun
I remember back when the 0.5 build was released and I'm super happy that you all never gave up on this game even when the going was tough!
Sad to see no playable kirby, and the eeveelutions would be a cool gimmick while putting pokemon on the fray. Despite this, I'm impressed the new team brought the game back. Hopefully we'll have a complete game this time!

However, is there also any plan of releasing a stage editor on the official release?
In this way, each player would be able to create their own maps and stages with all available materials. And if the graphics and attributes of each existing NPC & blocks can be also edited from the editor, there'll be much more various works can be created potentially.
A dedicated level editor won't be created, but rather the game's source files will be released after v1.0.

This looks good. I do have a question; Is the game made in a way that you don't have to switch to a particular character in order to complete a level? For example say I want to play and beat the game with Simon, Waluigi and Arther, would that be possible?
Yes. Some characters will have a better time than other characters depending on the stage, however
Every character is capable of beating every level, and don't worry, the game doesn't dumb down the difficulty so that every character can make it through. The stages are genuinely challenging no matter who you play.

My only concern is that it's hard to tell which stages was balanced for which character, cause I would favour to play a stage that is neither too easy nor too inconvenient
@@Ageleszly Once you understand a character and the types of moves and powerups they have, it will become easy to tell what characters will be good for certain stages. More or less you should just play the characters you enjoy playing.

Quick bug reports: in the mega verse roll, loses items in one hit even when having hp left and there are very bad motion blurs in dive man’s stage I could barely see

What happened to Kirby and Meta Knight? They were playable before. Were they removed or are they beign reworked?
They were removed. Kirby was never actually publically available. His gameplay proved to be too difficult to implement.
Meta Knight had too many bugs that wasn't worth fixing. He also broke the game balance-wise, so he was removed. Kirby never made it in officially because he would be a nightmare to implement (we'd have to edit all 500+ enemies in the game to make them work with his inhale and copy abilities). Long story short, they're not coming back.
@@taxmaniaaeven if a fraction of the enemies are marked generic enough to not give copy abilities? Like for example, what if a goomba and any enemies that only just walk around is marked as normal, would that still not help?
@@Dravenick No, because we would still have to edit every single enemy to make them compatible with the inhale in the first place. There's also large enemies/bosses that Kirby shouldn't be able to inhale.

Okay, so like... two gripes so-far;
Why not have Roll in her MM7 sprite?
And Link should resemble his "Adventures of" sprite.
Just some minor things I'd like to see happen for this.
You can do that yourself, you know. The game allows you to create your own character skins.

Not yet, first they have to revamp world 8 and 9.
Too bad Kirby didn't make it in the roster. But he must be really difficult to code with lots of enemies. Not to mention the secret cheat on bosses.
Who’s The Mastermind / Final Boss?
The main villain is a mad scientist called The Fusionist.
Super Mario Bros. Crossover but on STEROIDS...and also, y'know, an original game rather than an SMB1 remake.
This game actually predates SMBC by a few years.
