What a great Christmas present, not only for MKF's new content but some of that content being the world bosses, showing the game is getting close to completion.
I discovered MKF like 10 years ago when I discovered the SMBX community as well. I always loved this fangame and I'm so glad that Dooki and team are putting efforts in continuosly improving and updating the game. Congratulations for the new version!
I have seen this game cancelled/abandoned so many times in the past 10 years, I can't believe someone always picked up where others left off and it's nearing completion. Thank you everyone who worked on it.

@@FeelingShred MKF's development history is pretty complicated. Several different teams worked on it over the years. Right now, there's three main developers working on it with some occasional contributions made by a few other people.
Thank you so much for reviving this old favourite. There is something epic about seeing World 3 finally complete with an end of world boss. MKF is an awesome nostalgia trip to my early days starting development on fan games. It would be a great honour to help and finally see this baby mature as it should!

I first learned of this project like back in goddamn high school, and when the project was cancelled I literally cried, because it looked SO COOL. Now, having finished university and seeing it revived makes me ABSOLUTELY ECSTATIC.

That was a great trailer. A lot of new stuffs and many QoL improvements. This is indeed a great Christmas gift. Even if I don‘t celebrate Christmas, it‘s still a nice present for the fans of MKF.

This game is like if Super Mario Crossover started doing crystal meth.
And I am LIVING FOR IT.
You guys really made something special! I've gotten through world 1 so far, and I'm having a blast playing this!
If I could offer a slight bit of constructive criticism:
1. Default Mario and Luigi feel too fast for the level design, they accelerate too fast, and come to a stop too quickly, for how fast they're moving, and end up feeling slippery. I find myself either over-shooting or under-shooting most jumps. Reducing both bros' running speed and acceleration could really benefit the feel of their gameplay. (Like the way SMBX does it for example)
2. The Megaman characters interact very weirdly with slopes. When I'm standing on a slope with them, every time I start moving down said slope, the character will become slightly airborne for a split second, touch down on the ground, and then move normally. As a result of that, I find myself with a lot of eaten jump inputs, mostly resulting in falling into a pit. If you could look into that, it'd be fantastic.
3. Snake blocks positioned next to a wall will push you into it if they're activated, resulting in getting stuck, or falling through the world and dying.
Other than that, I haven't run into any issues so far, this game is amazing!
Oh my god, this has to be the best update this game has ever received so far. I am extremely impressed with how far this game has come.

I was expecting this newer version, now it would make sense to rediscover the levels and experience opponents with modified graphics. 😀

Holy shit this gotta be better promoted, I only heard of it because someone randomly mentioned it in the comments of a video... Send keys for streamers like Vinny Vinesauce and Sodapoppin to play this, they play indie games all the time on their streams
A project like this is too good to die in obscurity, only 3.500 views is insane
Sodapoppin might not play the game, but he watches trailer of games when he is picking up stuff to play, that alone will expose the game to thousands of people

I played the most recent build of MKF, and when I stream it on discord, the window looks too tiny. On an older build, this never happened.
Is there a way to fix it?
This was fixed recently but it’s going to be a while before we put up a new build.

@@Focalors21 Short answer: No
Long answer: The save system was changed after 0.8's release meaning that it will most definitely break save files in the next release. However, this will allow saves to be more stable between future releases (especially once we do patches after the final major release). For now though, use old save files at your own risk.

For anyone that encounters this error message, try removing the d3d8.dll file from your game directory and relaunching the game.

Is this new version compatible with the last version's save data or would I need to start a new game altogether?
Save data from previous versions are not compatible. You can use the debug mode to skip levels you've already played, however.
