    In my opinion for Juliana and Kristina was exciting to know their birth mother. I see they were nervous and embarrassed. The birth mother looked cold and distant...maybe she was embarrassed.

      These would have to be deeply personal moments for both moms and kids with cameras right from the git-go. Maybe self conscious and awkward. Prob relaxed later in the visit. I hope the girls had some alone time with their birth Mom. ❤️🩷🩷

    Seeing this makes me feel "back home". I was born in Arlington VIRGINIA and grew up in Falls Church VIRGINIA. I even worked for a time at Dulles airport and my Dad worked many years there for ground transportation...they no longer have that service. But I have watched many videos of Juliana and for the exception of her being ill, there's always a smile.....what a strong young lady she was to have gone through cancer 8 times....there has been a lot of intestinal fortitude. She's flying high with the Angels now along with Maddie watching over all those she loved. RIP Angel!!!!

    I also thought she seemed cold but that is true. We don't know her life and what she herself has endured. True,she is now giving life to Juliana, a second time😊 Thank her so much, for that.

    • @dianemarie409
      @dianemarie409 9 лет назад +9

      +grateful1929 She wasn't cold. She doesn't know these people, she does not speak the language, she is overwhelmed. She probably doesn't know how to react.

    • @dianemarie409
      @dianemarie409 8 лет назад +1

      paula peters I didn't say anything at all about Juliana & Kristina not being taken care of & loved by John & Tammy. They are wonderful parents, and their great parenting shows in how great their kids are.
      I think Irina is/was overwhelmed & probably didn't know how to act/react. Historically, people from Russia & the eastern Bloc countries are not outwardly warm & loving people. They tend to be more stoic with their emotions. Add in the fact that there is a complete & total language barrier. And she is seeing the 2 daughters she gave up at birth for the first time, one of them being very ill. She probably didn't expect that.
      Imagine being in Irina's shoes---walking from a plane into an airport in a country that is totally different than what you're used to---especially a democratic society---meeting total strangers, not being able to speak a word of the language. Who knows if she's ever traveled outside of Russia before? Who knows if she's ever been on a plane before? It is probably such a slap in the face that she is totally shocked & overwhelmed.
      She is also probably going to be totally blown away by the "excesses" people have in the U.S. They do not have this in Russia, being a communist country. My big question is whether Irina is going to refuse to return to Russia after the bone marrow aspiration, or if she is going to defect and stay here as a political refugee---or somehow try to stay as the birth mother to a very girl who is the only "match" for bone marrow & other physical things. I know if I came from Russia & saw how people live in the U.S., I wouldn't want to go back to Russia either. Why do you think there are so many Russian women dying to meet & marry an American man? It is to get out of Russia & come to the U.S.
      If Irina did not want to donate the bone marrow, she could have easily said no. She wanted to come to this country---perhaps the bone marrow donation is/was a perfect reason for her to get here, and for her to stay here. Russia is not keen on their citizens traveling to the United States because so many defect upon arriving to the U.S. There is no real proof that she has a child in Russia or any other family that would tie her there or force her to return there. She told a couple of questionable stories to John & Tammy to get more money out of them, so her credibility isn't the best at this point. We shall see what happens. What matters here is that Juliana get rid of this new cancer so that she can get this bone marrow from Irina.

      I am Russian and it’s really strange for us when we see good relationships with daughter and birth mother because usually birth mother give away their children and when their children became an adult persons they don’t want to be in good relationships with their bio mom just because she is nobody for them, she betrayed them, she wasn’t care about them. I think it’s right. It’s strange to run for giving a hug to a bio mom who left you in a children’s home! And usually a decision of left a kid in a children’s home is making by parents. Social services do it rarely in post-USSR countries. So most of such parents made this decision by themselves. It’s their own decision.
      So that’s why no hugs and smiles. But Irina is a kind person who agreed to help her bio daughter. We should appreciate it.

    iryna is so non affective. She has not given even a hug to her daughters.

    • @2023Naturegirl
      @2023Naturegirl 7 лет назад +15

      Iryna... No offense meant.. but Iryna ..did not "Want" to give up her Children.. so likely when she first arrived..she was very nervous and not 100% sure how all of the Family would feel.. It would have been awkward to start. BUT.. she came over.. she cared enough to come..and as the Videos showed.. she definitely warmed up to the Family quite well. Also.. she knew what was at stake... that had to be a very heavy burden for her.. What I have noticed over all these past few years.. Nobody seems to mention, and perhaps they feel awkward.. Pediatric Cancer is beyond any Parents worst Nightmare..I lost a son to it at aged 4 Years... He had never been further than Canada where I live and USA.. Thousands and Thousands of Children lose their Lives to this Horrendous Disease.. However what it seems nobody wants to say.. Is that Juliana was from Belarus took one of the most Intense Effects of the Chernobyl Nuclear Meltdown... Perhaps you are unaware.. the Cancer rates increased in the Next Generation and now the 3rd Generation since the Chernobyl accident.. The people were exposed to Carcinogenic Toxins such as Plutonium, Cesium 128 and 134, The Bad form of Iodine, Graphite, Radium.. etc etc.. The last figures I have heard of in the area that Juliana was born..were that the Pediatric Cancer Rates were over 400 Times Higher than say in America.. Nuclear and Large Doses of Radiation are not compatible in astounding numbers in not just Human Lives.. but in all forms of Life.. The Scientists do not really have a complete answer as to why.. now over 30 years later they have radioactive Black Wolves..these Wolves are thriving.. the Healthiest most beautifully coated Wolves I have ever seen.. The same goes for Fukishima now.. Those who did not perish within weeks or at most months are not dying now 6 years later in vast numbers ..however when they have babies.. these past few years.. the Birth Defects are beyond anything I am guessing you are aware of .. they are on Utube here..Just type in Chernobyl Birth Defects ..or Russian Orphanages, Belarus Orphanages.. Japanese Orphanages ...I am sure you have not seen what Nuclear does .. Juliana likely was born..predisposed to Cancer.. but it was meant to be.. that a VERY Special Family adopt her and all of there other Children.. Of Course the Carvers will never stop Grieving.. but as time goes by and their other Children Marry and Have Babies.. they will find the Strength to carry on... they have to..their entire family need each other.. As for Iryna..she lives over there.. try to even envision knowing.. that the Cancer Rates are Hundreds of times higher than in Countries that have not been exposed to these Carcinogenic Toxins that Juliana's mom was.. I know I can understand that she has to have had to struggle more than we can imagine ..knowing her gift of Bone Marrow.. was pretty certainly the last hope.. But she came..and it was wonderful..The Carver's adopted Juliana's other daughter.. she got to meet the most wonderful Parents ..she could have dreamed her little girls could ever wish for.. She did her Best. Say some Prayers no Country decides to Push the Nuclear Button.. as.. Nuclear and Life of all forms are simply not compatible..Blessings Kathleen

      I agree with you, I have some Russian inlaws. They a very strong people, they have lived very tough lives. They have a very different demeanor to us that's for sure, but you should not take that as a sign that they don't care and love just as much as we do. I am just glad she came and is so very willing to help where she can. It can't have been easy for her but she did it and that's the main thing. Why have people got to be so judgmental.

      There's another video the father did which told the real story of how Irina lost her children -- not her choice. Irina had to work and the girls were left with the grandmother. But the grandmother had a drinking problem so the court removed the girls and put them in an orphanage. Irina was very upset because she needed to work and the only one she had to watch her girls was her mother. So the court took the girls away. Irina did not want that to happen. When she went to the orphanage, the girls had already been adopted out. The Karvers didn't know this story at the time and were heartbroken to hear it.
