I really like the negative reviews tbh. If I'm buying a thing, anything really, I want to know about the bad. It's more important than knowing about the good. I can easily find out the good: manufacturers are all over that already, and there's a reason I'm even looking at the thing right? So I need to know reasons I shouldn't buy it, and whether they're good enough reasons not to. And you always do it in such an entertaining way!
You bring me so much joy! Thanks for all the good shit my guy! Grew up listening to Tom and Ray Magliozzi on car talk, you remind me a lot of the car talk brothers but for knives. You are a gem!
“Terrible Knives Live” the kind of show that never would have found a place on the 100+ cable channel universe. Only with the infinite space of the internet could these products actually find a place.
I never take your reviews as negative but as critical. Now there may be some criticisms that are superfluous to me or others but there is a standard and consistency. I've learned a lot about build quality, steel capability, and value from your reviews. A good product to me is one that minimizes the negative while maximizing the positive qualities at a price point for value. You help lay a building block for others to develop their own criteria.
You need time to accumulate terrible knives. And because no one is buying these or needs reviews of them, their appeal is in their novelty. The novelty wears out over time and follows the almighty curve of diminishing returns.
@@johndesper9425 It doesn't help that roughly 3 factories make 90% of the things he shows in Terrible Knives. Honestly, I'm surprised he has managed to keep it fresh this long.
This was a combination of building up terriblity and just personal needing some time off. I love live videos, but you have to be in the right mindset for them to go well.
I'm disappointed that the opportunity was lost to turn Nick into the neutral president from Futurama By setting bias to 50. "All I know is my gut says maybe" "I have no strong feelings one way or the other" "If I don't survive, tell my wife hello"
In 1978 I was hiking in the Pacific Northwest and got attacked by a bear. I fought it off with a victorinox classic sd. Story of my life. I turned 25 today. My great grandson said I’m full of shit. 🤷🏼♂️
My Absolute Favorite series of Any RUclipsr Ever in Any topic! Thanks, been too long. If you need more crapitude please let us out here know. I am absolutely sure each of us have one or two we could send in! I know I do...(blushing).
My para 3 came today, other than a benchmade it's the nicest knife I've owned! Cannot seem to get the spidey flick down but I'm ok with that. I am thoroughly addicted to nice knives and can't wait for my next one!
I got one of those wooden scaled victorinopes as a gift a while back.. there’s no way in hell I’d carry it but I still found a use.. taught myself how to use stones with it. It’s probably one of the sharpest awful knives out there now. EDIT.. ha I’d typed this before you even said it! Lol..
So re-watching this video inspired me to check out the "better" mtech options. They are listing D2 framelocks for 200-300 bucks. That doesn't really surprise me... but I am shocked that people are actually buying them.
What was the model name/number of the first M-tech knife that Nick actually was impressed with. The one w/ the carbon fiber inlay. I managed to catch that the other one was the Matador, but I missed the name on the first one. (Unless it was what was written on the box in which case... Doh!)
As a human who doesn't belong to the clique that are priveleged to participate in "Super Chats " may I say that your search for new ways to exploit quality short comings is supremely entertaining. Thanks for letting me watch. 😑
Been little under the weather, not covid. Almost sleepless night ,I see new "terrible knives". Find some power to go shower, make nice meal and watch this. Thank you!
55:50 hits and Nick is sitting at $75, the wrench knife hits the desk and I'm instantly disappointed I missed the livestream because my first thought was "I wonder how much it would take to get him to say "OK guys, this is just stupid as fuck" right now?🤔" I mean, we were all thinking it lol 🤷♂️
29:10 thank God you moved that dial or you would be saying "imagine your a Chinese sweat shop worker and you die so they memorialized you in this knife."
When I was a kid, Big Lots use to sell knives like that Bear Hunter. Only they didn't stamp misleading words like Solingen on the blade. Those knives back then were stamped PAKISTAN and STAINLESS STEEL on the other side. I'm assuming the "Stainless" steel was really a shit grade of low carbon bar stock imported from Russia, then ground down into a crude edge and chrome clad. They were awful, priced accordingly for $4.99. An American made PAL razor blade super glued to a popsicle stick would've been better. More dangerous to the user than a would be mugging victim.
Terrible knife? Any self-proclaimed Axis lock *TACTICAL* folder made by Benchmade ... Shouldn't put a *TACTICAL* label on something that can fail catastrophically under less stress than a Cold Steel Kudu can handle.
Dial-a-bias was so genius for this. Between the "administrative decisions" and usual chaos of terrible knives live this one was a gem for me. 😂
"Hey Google, I'm sorry" That was both hilarious and seemed so sincere. lol
Even if the person isn’t real, might as well be kind to it.
@@NickShabazz Exactly.
I'd love to see a video where Nick has to roast the hell out of his favorite knives, I think I'd be hilarious.

I’d just call it one of his reviews 😂

Yeah agreed, a bit of both on reviews is the best!
For no reason should you ever be considering any of these knives, in which a negative review would be beneficial.
Well i mean you want to know the good as well, you wouldn't buy a fork when you need a spoon. But I agree with the sentiment overall
You bring me so much joy! Thanks for all the good shit my guy! Grew up listening to Tom and Ray Magliozzi on car talk, you remind me a lot of the car talk brothers but for knives. You are a gem!

That Victorinot has scissors equivalent to the action on a single shot gun.
Any particular reason for the long break from Terrible Knives? I always really love these and I hope to see them more regularly again.

I have missed these videos, thanks for the uncensored nick content
I have the M-tech he ended up liking. I'm glad to see I didn't just have a moment of temporary insanity when I decided it was worth getting.

....I'm horrified by the poor the lume quality on that knife.
I had one very similar as the first one when I was 15. I found it to be terribly awesome. Never used it though. That says enough I guess.
Hey, Nick! I'm thinking about getting a Kizer soon. Blade HQ has the S35VN Envoy for $90. Is that a knife you would recommend?
From the original description....this knife looks pretty good..👍😁
I’m so mad at myself for missing this live lol
Nick, Mtech now has titanium s35vn knives for 130$... I wish I was kidding. It’s part of their evolution line.
That's insane Mtech a truck stop special for 130 bucks
I didn't miss the fact that he keeps his original Z-Hunter in the safe.
The thumb studs on that M Tech look like Frankenstein's neck bolts
The Bear knife may just need a tune up, from the manufacturer. My need to change the points and greased LOL.
I lost it when he checked for loom😂
How did I miss this when it came out?!?!
Uh oh, I like that Bear Hunter... Is there ANY hope for me???
Your word play in high-bias scenarios rivals mainstream media, well done
Haha, I owned that steel and rubber number back in like the late 1990's.
Try a Rough Rider Kamp King. Simply open a can with its can opener, and watch the knife literally come apart in your hands.

LOLOL. LMAO funny.👍
BTW, the M-Tech Stagger (the one out of four Nick liked) is 3Cr13MoV. Should be easy to sharpen.

Well, I hope you got top dollar on your "sell out" Nick cause, that's what "I" would do... :)
I was wondering if you could do a review on the cold steel luzon xl please :)
where did you get the oiler

I love how this new feature immediately breaks because ya lost count XD
Nick must be the only person in the world who keeps a fucking zhunter in a safe in their home.
I would like to see what he thinks about the Harbour Freight Gordon Challenger
The first one is for Pooh bear… otherwise, RIP
I think mtech is stepping up. Bad for Nick, good for my wallet.
Does he keep the Z-Hunter in the safe...?
But Nick, I had a question about some of the tools you use for disassembly. Is there a place I can go to learn about them :)
Nope. The tools I use shall remain ever a mystery.

to be pedantic, nobody ever "feels badly" unless the mechanism by which they feel has malfunctioned. "feel" is a linking verb.
I'm happy to see the return of TKL! Nick, or anyone who knows, what is being used as the marker for the meter? I must have missed it if Nick said it.
Lol the first knife has a nail cutout on it
