It's unbelievable but the Kings' trade was good for both. They have a similar problem as the 76ers a few years ago - too much talent in one position. The kings finally look like a playoff team. Now they are 4th in the West. Probably not sustainable but I predict 6th place which is a good kickoff for the future. They can also upset teams like Pelicans in PO, or win 2-3 games in a series. Looks good Kings!
Why you gotta get on my Wolves like that?! Like, is ten assets for one REALLY that bad? The biggest problem with this trade is the lack of flexibility it brings. Beasley had two years left on a relatively cheap deal, Vanderbilt was cheap, Pat Bev was relatively cheap. Not we got 2 very expensive centers, an expensive PG, and about to have an expensive SG and SF. Poor Wolves...literally
Sac Kings fan here that lives in Sac. Nobody here regrets the Hali trade. Fox and Hali were not a good fit. Sabonis and Fox together make our team a top 6 team which means playoffs. We haven’t been in the playoffs for 16 years. 16 YEARS! Kings didn’t lose that trade.
The only bad take here... is the Kings-Pacers Trade, where he claims the Kings completely lost.... i dissagree, that's one of those Win-Win Trade in my Book
I disagree with the raptors take. They wouldn’t be in contention if they had KD. The trade package would’ve been Scottie, Og, Trent and like 3 unprotected first. That makes the raptors extremely top heavy with no depth or any money or picks to get any depth.
Stories like this are always a little skewed. Part of the reason some players blow up after being trading is specifically bc they are on a new team. New coaching, new role, new system. If they stayed where they were, they might not have ever improved
Are you serious? The kings by no means lost as they are the 5th seed with two possible all stars. Tyrese is good yeah but sabonis has been playing at an all nba level and the kings got rid of hields awful contract. The trade also allowed them to get huerter which is so huge for what the kings were trying to do. You clearly don’t know basketball
The Bulls messed up badly and Minnesota made a win now move and it made them worse and got rid of players who might be better than Gobert in Kessler. Their GM needs to be fired
you tripping if the kings had tyrese still he would be averaging 17 and 7 because he wouldn't be the only one with the ball in his hands. you can't trade Fox because no 1 is taking that contract on for a non all star. Sabonis has played like an all star and he is going to sign an extension with the kings. so what are the kings missing out on bruh yours takes are nonsensical and you dont think things thru enough. Sabonis is giving you scoring as much as Haliburton and he is giving you almost the same amount of assist if you consider usage rates. Sabonis is one of the leaders in the league in rebounds. The kings have shooting because i know that's what you'll say the Kings are missing out of in Haliburton, but Sabonis is actually shooting better from 3 points then Haliburton (not as many attempts but still). We weren't winning with Halburton and now we are mainly because of Monte McNair. I'll take Fox over haliburton all day(Fox is leader in clutch points).....only thing that does suck about losing him is his contract. Everyone says it was a win win trade except you because I know how much you hate the Kings because you are a Lakers lover.
TELL HIM!!! Gotta love how "All Star" is super impressive one minute and "participation trophy" the next... Tell people Sab is 2x All Star? Don’t listen to him Kings Fans😂 real hoop fans know Tyrese would take longer to bloom if he stayed in SAC. The backcourt of Fox And Tyrese wouldn’t be bad but unless De’aaron left he was never gonna be good this early plus he benefits from playing with Turner and those other role players. The Kings are in the postseason standings rn while the pacers are still in potential play in bracket. The Kings need playoff basketball to end their drought and don’t have time to build around Haliburton. They made the right choice
Derozan (33) and Levine (injury, inconsistency, defense) should be traded not built around. This isn’t even close to Tatum and Brown; Curry $ Klay; Giannis & Middleton; AD & LBJ; Duncan Parker Ginobli; Nowitzki et al; Kobe & Shaq.
Your wrong about the Hawks, just like BEFORE. I'm the same guy who told you that the Hawks were good two yrs ago. Right now, the bad fit is John Collins, NOT DM.
The Kings and Pacers trade would have only been bad if they didn't make other moves to strengthen the roster. Right now they're a top-5 seed in the west and Indiana is at least a play-in team, when they're supposed to be rebuilding. Don't see how this is regrettable, unless you wished they kept Tyrese and traded Fox instead.
Love you videos man. But you are dead wrong about the kings. Sabonis is a have a all star season. Controlling the whole offense , and averaging basically 20-14-7. That’s ridiculous bro.
As a Kings Fan I initially hated the Sabonis trade since I didn’t think the fit would work and would bring results + Haliburton is just such a good player. The only issue with Haliburton was the roster. Fox, Haliburton and Barnes were basically doing it all until Fox got injured that season. Even with Haliburton averaging over 20 point double doubles, they weren’t winning. Bagley never had and still hasn’t panned out and the rest of the roster needed change. You could say it was all the coaching and if they held out and waited to get Mike Brown it would’ve worked out but I think it was a great trade for both teams. Haliburton has only gotten better and it’s great to see but the Kings with Fox and Sabonis have done well and both franchises have a good future with their rosters.
It's crazy how shortsighted teams are, and how much they've flip flopped on their stance regarding picks. Remember when Paul George got traded to OKC for just Victor Oladipo and a sophomore Domantas Sabonis and zero picks, only to be traded to the clippers a couple years later for sophomore SGA and like 7 picks. It's like these teams just forget what the market should be, and just go based off trends of what the rest of the league is doing. Smart teams are squeezing picks out of these dumber organizations just because they've artificially inflated the value of players and deflated the value of picks.
Strongly disagree about the Kings regretting trading Haliburton. The team is in a much better place than they have been in the past 16 years. We're currently 4th in the western conference standings and have a big man that's a walking triple double. Fox is playing out of his mind because Haliburton and him didn't fit together. Buddy Heild and Haliburton were major defensive liabilities. I'm happy that they are doing well in Indy though but trust me the kings don't regret the trade.... win win trade
Agree with you on every point except one. Barnes for KD. If you watched Raptors games often you would see why he appears to be struggling (besides two bad ankles), and he is still turning it around. That was an easy decision for the Raptors.
Dejounta Murray is going back to SAS when he hit free agency lmao. Trae + Murray was always a terrible idea because both thrive with the ball. If you take it away from the other then you're misusing them and wasting their potential. Let's be real and say the truth. The Hawks are at lot better with Murray as their lead guard. Trade Trae for pieces to retool this Hawk roster and that's it. The Pacers - King trade was a win-win trade
The Rudy Gobert trade might be the worst trade in NBA history, making Danny Ainge the greatest trader of all times... This is really insane that he was behind both of the Nets and the Twolves trades
I think it's too early to say the Kings "regret" trading away Haliburton. Kings ultimately made a win now move, and it has greatly benefitted their team in the current moment. Just because the Pacers got the better player and better value, doesn't mean the Kings "lost", considering both teams have improved since making the move.
Look at this video. A Trade isn't just for one year. It's permanent. In five years, the Kings will wish they had Haliburton. But for now, their expectations have been so low that just making the playoffs is seen as a win. Never mind that making the playoffs with no hope of winning the Championship is the worst place to be. Oh well, if Kings fans are happy, that's what's important. But it doesn't change that it was an objectively bad trade as measured by value. Bulls fans were happy to get Vucevic, especially since they feel it let them sign Derozan. But now how do they feel? :D
@@shorewallKings chose Fox over Haliburton, both have been playing great this season and Fox has proven people wrong. I don’t think Haliburton and Fox together would’ve worked, and anyways the Kings were able to get rid of Buddy Heild which is an overlooked part of the trade.
@@darrengordon-hill Most teams aren't the Sacramento Kings. In five years, when you are getting bounced in the playoffs every year, or trying to make the Play-In, and Haliburton is making All Star Teams for another team, the new reality will set in. Winning Championships is great. Losing in the Playoffs isn't. It's not my fault that the Kings have been a terribly run organization. It's just something that Kings fans gotta live with, and take the fleeting happiness where they can.
The the raptors are a team that can draft well but will absolutely never attract any free agent because they’re far north and outside of the states too. The only way they can viably have a chance at rings is through trades and anything else is just denial
Kings trade was fine. They had to decide if they wanted to try to contend with DeAron or build around Tyrese. DeAron is loyal to the Kings which not many players would be with his talent. They got a good enough bench, Buddy Hield can shoot, and Sabonis is a good fit. Both teams won that trade
As a Raptors fan, I definitely would rather keep Scottie for KD... we'd have to give up our ENTIRE future for KD, and we probably wouldn't even win a championship.
you know for a fact that Vucevic's trade was done to convince Lavine to stay. and Vucevic is also the reason why Derozan signed with the bulls. so your point is quite invalid i guess
Time is what will already tell who won. Imagine 5 years into the future. Kings ain't gonna win a chip with Sabonis. Kings fans might be happy to make the playoffs after 15 years, but they mortgaged their future to do it. Then again, they drafted Bagley instead of Luka, so they ain't winning nothing. The organization is bad, and has been bad. Making the Playoffs don't change that. At least it will give the Kings fans something to cheer for.
@@shorewall Pacers aren’t winning with haliburton either. At least not yet. You are everywhere hating on the kings trade, saying Hali is better than fox, and that they will regret it in the future. As people are saying, only time will tell. Additionally, fox would for surely be an all star as well if he was in the east, the west is loaded with guards currently so it’s tough for fox. Finally, sabonis has been excellent for the kings as well so it is really a win win.
I'm a big fan of KD but trading him in Toronto for Barnes is hard' specially in Barnes performance last season... also the contract and drama behind KD? if KD is like a guy with no issue about social media and everything .. maybe there's a lot offer for the Nets🤷🏻♂️
The Rudy Gobert trade definitely messed up the trade market. We'd definitely would've seen more trades by now but nobody wants to look stupid like Minnesota..
Brooklyn trade with Celtics would be a lame plan even if they got the chip! Which they didn't :) They could be the new face of the league (dynasty-wise) if they stuck to their picks and up-and-coming players and didn't try to get all the old faces in the league. Now too. They had a thing going with LaVert and D-Lo and co. They threw that away to get a big 3 again. They are not learning dude.
Bad take on the Kings. Both teams got what they needed and Haliburton and Fox are flourishing as the key guard. Buddy wanted out of SAC and Sabonis has been a double double machine in Mike Brown's system
Based on rumors about Trey's locker room stuff, if he gets traded, the best thing for him is to be traded to a team with an established number one who won't take shit from Trey.

You are sooooo good in making those links to other of your videos... I really admire that! Congrats bro!
First round picks have become more valuable than before. Teams are stocking picks for a trancendant player for the future.
Probably still a play-in team
those two prizepicks you chose were the ones I was eyeing today too
The Bulls front office is incompetent? You don't say......
I'm a raptors fan and I still wouldn't trade Scottie for KD even today. I don't think the raptors regret that decision at all
Except that kd on that team is a champion 🏆
Sac Kings fan here that lives in Sac. Nobody here regrets the Hali trade. Fox and Hali were not a good fit. Sabonis and Fox together make our team a top 6 team which means playoffs. We haven’t been in the playoffs for 16 years. 16 YEARS! Kings didn’t lose that trade.
BUT THE PACERS GOT BUDDY HIELD!!!!
As a spurs fan , hopefully we get wembanyama next year and collect all those hawks lottery picks in a few years
If the Wolves end up losing KAT and keeping Gobert, obtaining Gobertwill officially be known as the worst trade of all time
The only bad take here... is the Kings-Pacers Trade, where he claims the Kings completely lost.... i dissagree, that's one of those Win-Win Trade in my Book
The kings already have a point guard and what was send kd to the raptors really going to do
I disagree with the raptors take.
KD trade was tempting but I'm glad the Raptors didn't trade away their rookie of the year.
You clearly don’t know basketball
what are youre thoughts on how the nets will go w/o kd for the month or so
The wolves had the assets to potentially get both jerami grant and dejounte Murray a signifant defensive upgrade. The gobert trade is disgusting
The Bulls messed up badly and Minnesota made a win now move and it made them worse and got rid of players who might be better than Gobert in Kessler. Their GM needs to be fired
I feel like the Wolves should have seen the Embiid+Horford experiment and been like, “nah”.
you tripping if the kings had tyrese still he would be averaging 17 and 7 because he wouldn't be the only one with the ball in his hands. you can't trade Fox because no 1 is taking that contract on for a non all star.
Meh, just a big
Then they brag "FVV is an All Star, Jared Allen is an All Star"
SABONIS IS AN ALL STAR PF/C
Period point blank!!!
FFS, D'Lo and Devin Harris were All Stars...
Most underrated NBA🧐channel
Cheers from San Diego California
Derozan (33) and Levine (injury, inconsistency, defense) should be traded not built around.
This isn’t even close to
Tatum and Brown; Curry $ Klay; Giannis & Middleton; AD & LBJ; Duncan Parker Ginobli; Nowitzki et al; Kobe & Shaq.
I haven't heard one Raptor fan with regrets about not trading Scottie for KD. Not one. No clue where you're getting that from.
Ahh watching the hawks be bad feels good.
Lmao dude you mad jinxed KPJ and Haliburton! Both injured before half time! Oh man!
I wonder how it would look if Timberwolves and Bulls exchange their centers or Wolves vs Suns exchange as Ayton already doesnt wanna be there.
I hope teams actually make trades n not BS
It's crazy how shortsighted teams are, and how much they've flip flopped on their stance regarding picks. Remember when Paul George got traded to OKC for just Victor Oladipo and a sophomore Domantas Sabonis and zero picks, only to be traded to the clippers a couple years later for sophomore SGA and like 7 picks. It's like these teams just forget what the market should be, and just go based off trends of what the rest of the league is doing. Smart teams are squeezing picks out of these dumber organizations just because they've artificially inflated the value of players and deflated the value of picks.
What's the trade package for KD on Barnes trade? KD without Siakam or OG is a waste. He would demand trade and the got nothing.
ALL STAR STARTER TYREESE??? what is this man on
I kept waiting on who the Bulls were gonna get to save their franchise and it never happened lol..?
Markennen and Kessler can be a scary duo in the future. reminds me of Kat and Gobert experiment but I hope it works if the Jazz stick with them.
They're already working better than KAT and Gobert. :D
Theyre a scary duo right now. Lauri is an All-star and Kessler is very well playing just as good if not better than gobert and hes a rookie lol
Jazz with like 14 first round picks. wtf
always a good day/afternoon when A.M. Hoops posts for sure
Fox is going to be all star …. It was a win win. Fox can play his way.
I think you can't see what the GM's can see in Rudy
Timberwolves need pure PG pass first like Dejounte Murray 🔥🔥🔥
The Raptors don't want KD simply because of the drama he brings, he could very well ask for a trade mid-season
@@shorewall
Re read it...
Lemme get this straight... making the Playoffs is WORSE than 16 straight seasons without a postseason appearance???
@@frniuu2061 I don't think they chose Fox over Haliburton. Haliburton had more value, netting them Sabonis. What would Fox have brought back?
@@darrengordon-hill Most teams aren't the Sacramento Kings. In five years, when you are getting bounced in the playoffs every year, or trying to make the Play-In, and Haliburton is making All Star Teams for another team, the new reality will set in. Winning Championships is great. Losing in the Playoffs isn't.
It's not my fault that the Kings have been a terribly run organization. It's just something that Kings fans gotta live with, and take the fleeting happiness where they can.
Jaylen Brown doesn't seem like a HoF member to me yet.
Again and against so much hate snd disrespect to Sabonis
AM Hoops gets my time all the time
You are wrong about KD. there is no regrets for Toronto. I would still rather have Scottie Barnes with so much upside than a softie injured prone KD
The Tyrese Haliburton trade is one where only time can tell who won
Lets see… KD is 34 can leave in 2 years and barnes will sign the rookie max for 5…. Hmmm what the hell?
Jayson Tatum and jaylen brown wouldn't have swept KD lol. Kinda crazy to think of them both nets.
The Rudy Gobert trade definitely messed up the trade market. We'd definitely would've seen more trades by now but nobody wants to look stupid like Minnesota..
Timnerwolves messed up big time!
How is the Raptors Regret not trading for KD? I find it more of signing Otto Potter. He's out for the rest of the season and has played 8 games total
What a waste of a MLE
@@repulse_ that's exactly my point
Brooklyn trade with Celtics would be a lame plan even if they got the chip! Which they didn't :) They could be the new face of the league (dynasty-wise) if they stuck to their picks and up-and-coming players and didn't try to get all the old faces in the league. Now too. They had a thing going with LaVert and D-Lo and co. They threw that away to get a big 3 again. They are not learning dude.
Wolves just got blown out by the worst team in the league
Bad take on the Kings. Both teams got what they needed and Haliburton and Fox are flourishing as the key guard. Buddy wanted out of SAC and Sabonis has been a double double machine in Mike Brown's system
Based on rumors about Trey's locker room stuff, if he gets traded, the best thing for him is to be traded to a team with an established number one who won't take shit from Trey.
Trae needs to work out with Steph in the off season & learn to play off the ball. Add more movement to the Hawks offense.
The Wolves don't want to say it out loud, but it's obvious they're getting ready to trade KAT.
So far the kings and pacers Got Both Ws in their recent trade
Yeah gonna be a crazy trade deadline
It's a bit early to say Tatam and Brown will be hall of famers dude
I agree the wolves have up too much for gobert
I love Hali, But sabonas is a superstar he is 90% the joker. Please don't compare Hali to sabonas.
And like I said hali will all star.
great trade for both friendships.
Regarding hill, We give him for free With good reason.
