I got my Italian bf hooked on gochujang and then he introduced it to his family. They have no idea what it is but they love it. Now I’m forever ordering it online for half a dozen gochujang addicts
Lol. Would love to know how you all use…does your boyfriends family add it to Italian dishes?
Aw, that's so cute!
Cute
As a Kenyan who also comes from a meat eating country, turned vegetarian in 2007 now a fully transitioned vegan, I've been so happy trying out your Korean vegan recipes. 감사합니다 🤗😎
Hey fellow Kenyan. 🤗
Been vegan since July 2017... Best decision I ever made. I get so happy when I meet Kenyans who are vegan too ...
@@eatyourberry Sasa mrembo! Omg this is great to hear as well.🤗🤗🤗 I'm following your channel and looking forward to exchanging recipes - keep up with the veganism. 🌱🌱🌱
@@lauraslifeonink Thank you. 🤗
Let’s continue building our immune system.
before all the oil free ppl get triggered, just know that most people shallow fry them and rose actually used a very small amount in comparison. my grandma would use like a half a cup of oil to fry one batch lmao
Yeah I’ve seen jeon videos where it looks like they’re heating up a little bath of oil for it 😂
But also, oil isn't the devil ingredient haha.
I love the "Korean lesson you never asked for". I like learning what the Korean names mean for everything.
I love roasted seaweed, that stuff is like crack! I also didn't like the amount of plastic packaging buy I found in my local Korean shop that they sell them in large sheets in big multi packs. It's both cheaper and better for the environment!
"it's ok cuaz everything causes cancer" LMAO yes facts
I think you got some freeze frames while you were frying the potatoes haha, I enjoyed watching you freeze with a piece of sweet potato in your hand nonetheless tho no worries
i thought it was the app freezing up! 😂
Here I thought it was just my phone.
I thought it was my app lol
Ooh, I can't wait to try out the gochujang fried rice! Thank you so much for the amazing recipes, Rose :)
It seems to me to be omurice without the egg. Except she uses gochujang instead of ketchup. I suspect cutting the gochujang with a little bit of ketchup may actually add a little bit of zing.
Yay hope u like!! So easy!!
@@hejiranyc I actually have a vegan omurice recipe in my Asian ebook 😁 adding ketchup to this would be so good!
Love you’re channel just watched “the game changers” documentary and changed my life! I’ve made you’re patties and lasagne! Slowly getting better and more creative! Thanks for the inspiration and style L A Z Y and C H E A P wow that’s like my mantra! 💛💛🙏🙏🙏
Yes. Rose is awesome. WELCOME!! So happy you watched that and learned something new and exciting! 🥰🥰🥰Save the baby angels! 🐷🐮🐣🐟
I'm surprised that it's so hard to find smoked tofu in Canada of all places. 🤔 Makes me appreciate that we can buy it in every bigger supermarket in Germany. 😅🙏
I literally never buy those seaweed because of the packaging 😖 but I do very much love those
I face the same dilemma
You can buy the large sheets in bulk packages, and just toast them yourself. I buy one flat package of 100 sheets. Much better than the bulky snack package size.
@@jennfurr how do you toast them? Do you just put them in the oven for a bit?
Yes I’m so excited to have found this! Being deathly allergic to shellfish & allergic to fish but LOVING Korean food. It’s been so hard! But now I got some good ideas! Thanks!
I just made the gochujang fried rice and oh my goodness it tastes amazing thank you so much for this !
I love those seaweed snacks. I love plain rice with kimchee. My favorite! Speaking of kimchee, I am so thankful for your kimchee recipe! So delicious! Just made another half gallon of it and now I'm going through the painstaking waiting game for it to do its thing! Lol.
And I happen to love your Korean lessons!
I have often wondered how to make pickled radishes, but so good that they are ready pickled in Asian business. Thanks for the information. Mini kimbap looks super delicious 😋
I love the gochujang fried rice. Making it today again to use up rice from yesterday’s dinner. My young kids don’t like spice so I just make it up to the gochujang part, then remove their portions and then add loads of spice for hubby and me 🤤👌🏻❤️
All your recipes looks so good. I really want to try the sweet potatoes.
Just made Gochujang Fried Rice for the first time tonight. I made a huge batch because.. Left overs! Soo addicted to Gochujang! Thank you for showing me the way! ♥️
I love the little noises she makes while eating. So cute!
All three look great! Can’t wait to try them!!
Thank you sharing these recipes i can't wait to try them
I make my own roasted red pepper sauce from mild peppers and ferment it at home. A little rice vinegar to adjust the tang and wow is it good. Could also add some medium new Mexican chili powder for a little bit of heat. Oh, and smoked paprika. It really is the Bomb.
Love this! Exactly the video I've been looking for, thanks!
Bibimbap from your blog is a staple for me. Tofu, fresh/frozen veg on rice. Done!
Love the Korean recipes and Koran lessons!
I tried your recipe today and added some spinach as well - it was delicious - thank you 🙏🙏
I love how yo don‘t do a tiny amount of rice but a reasonable amount! A cup is a ‚normal‘ portion. 💜
I made the gochujang fried rice tonight. Was delicious and sooo easy to make.
All the food you make looks so yummy.
The gochujang fried rice was so good !!! ty
I love the chaotic energy here ok?!
i like the special effects sounds you make. that's why i'm here.oh and for the recipes!
26:30 Hello british Rose xD Love how she swaps accents
Omg my mouth is watering. I’m so lucky to live in Las Vegas, why? Because we have awesome Korean markets out here! And I get all my ingredients from there. Well, bye, I’m going to go tackle my homemade kimchi right now (I have to thank Rose for the kimchi recipe) from back in the day x
What Korean markets do you think are the best ??
Yay I'm early 🙌🏽🙌🏽 and omg this looks amazing. 🤤
That tub of gochujang! I need that in my life. I have a hard time finding small jars.
They look so good 🤩
This looks amazing, I LOVE spice and would probably add gochucaru to the fried rice too 😋
Can't wait to try these dishes.
Looks SO good ❤️
ㅋㅋㅋ 진짜 이지웨이~~
뚝닥뚝닥 잘 만드시네요 👍👍👍
I've been wanting to try some more Asian foods but I don't know what's in them a lot of the time. I definitely want to try some of these one day.
I luv adding garlic to my spinach in my Kimbap & maybe vegan egg
That yellow radish here in Japan called “Takuan 沢庵” 😀
im going to try the sweet potato jeon looks good u got me into koren food
Ikr. I will also do the same.
Woot!!! Hope you like ❤️
@@CheapLazyVegan i love your stuff so much before i have a fb group for ya haha so im sure i will
love this Rose. as always.
so the jeon is like um...battered chippies?
could i use par-steamed sweet potatoes so its quicker?
and could i air fry or oven bake em to crisp up without oil?
gonna try it.
ps...im an Aussie and i whinge quite a bit about how we take years to get exotic or exciting grocery items in our stores. (like the "hash browns" u guys buy frozen ....just grated spuds with NO OIL!!!) (been waiting 10 years...still waiting) anyhow im thrilled to say i just bought a cute lil tub of gochujang for $2.50 at local coles supermarket! yayyyy!!
They all look awesome! The hardest part is getting the ingredients. lol
The sudden switch of the American accent to some type of Ausie n British combo LOL love u
Those sweet potato. 🥔 Jeon looks really good. 😊 First dish would be way too spicy for me. I like Nori Seaweed. I love Sesame oil and seeds. 😊 Those rolls looked yummy.
This was in my recommendation, you are so pretty!
My Korean boyfriend always wants Korean products haha, I definitely recognised what you said about the sesame oil! :)
I got gochujang to make one of your recipes a while back and now I love it and I use it all the time. Thanks! ☺️
Delicious! 😋👍🏼
Love your channel
I love this video! I was at Hmart today looking at the pickled daikon but the ones without yellow dye all had aspartame in them. I thought that was weird. Do you know how to make it at home rose?
A trick we learned from my Korean mother in law is to buy the large sheets of roasted seaweed and use a pair of scissors to cut them smaller. Makes a lot less plastic waste that way.
oh thank you so much 🤗
Wow I love kimbap💕💕💕
I made the jeon and it was great, although I couldn't stop it burning a bit on the sides.
Jeon looks good!
맛이 없을 수가 없는 요리네요 침나와ㅎㅎ
Does it make a difference what type of rice you use?
Im gonna try that fried rice recipe!btw you changing your accents reminds me of Moira Rose from Schitt's Creek😆
Awesome ❤️
Love the fried rice recipe! Trying next
Well I know what i’m making for dinner next week
I can't handle a lot of Gochujang because it's too spicy, so when a receipe asks for it, I put a little Gochujang and add some ssamjang (less spicy). It works for me !
We're not Korean but my mom used seaweed because she was a hippie and she said that she always had to hide it from the kids or it would disappear before she could use it. So addictive!!
Hey! Where I live we don’t have pickled radish, can I use some cucumber or sth like that? Btw, all your dishes look amazing
How would feel about adding coconut milk to make it less spicy 🌶 ?
You, miss mina oh & cupoftj are my favorite female food vloggers.
FYI, I saw the red pepper paste in Sobeys in the international aisle.
Thank you for the Korean lesson. I love daikon which i know ill love kimbop. I feel possitive i can do it my self now.
Thanks.
She makes me feel like a pro
I’m a “no oil” person so I’m going to try to air frying these jeon. I’ll let you know if it works! LOL Thank you for these recipes!
How’d it gooo?
Yesss please let me know
No offense but jeon without the oil sounds kinda nasty. It would just be plain dry flour coating
Hate to tell you this but you need some oils and fats or your joints will suffer. A lot. Unless your doctors have said otherwise, you really should incorporate a little. I was no oil for a few years and I’m in pain every day at the age of 26 because of it.
You’re adorable love youre videos
I love your videos
Thank you!!!
25:20 Korean seems way to complicated to me. Probably I will never learn it. BUT, I actually appreciate you introducing the original names a lot! Makes it much more special :D
Ever considered (apron) merch with "okay?" on it?
I'm a lazy Korean language and culture student. So, here I am Learning lazy Korean recipes
Please make some gimmari Rose 💛
her: jeon is like pan fries stuff?
me: jeon jungkook? oh pan fried jungkook 🤣🤣😂
but I love the recipes and I'm gonna try it 😋
Delicious vegan🌱 food I'm a new subscriber 🤗
what is the difference between Korean and Chinese sesame oil?
13:18 This is something (among many many things) I appreciate in my mum too - such a fantastic recipe resource ;P
If you dont like spice, miso is kind of conceptually like gochujang. But it's only soy, no peppers :)
I must have been Korean in my other life...That giant container of gochujong...I would maybe try to pre-steam it, slice it, and them fry it, to save time frying. I love maki rolls, and the pickled veggies (Tam-mu-ji?). I think the yellow is turmeric maybe.
I think I was too, I’m obsessed with making Korean food! I think the yellow comes from annato in the pickled radish, I’ve seen it listed in the ingredients quite often.
Could you do a vegan juk please :) ?!!
"up to you"
Turmeric is what dyes the daikon yellow.
2:14 OR, you could get yourself a garlic press and heave fresh, fuss free garlic every time :D
Not really fuss free if you have to clean the press 😝 I’m super lazy too and usually just use garlic powder because it’s even lazier than Rose’s way haha
For the Jeon you can do litterally the same thing with whole leafs of kimchi it's so 😭 (just make sure you got vegan kimchi but yeah)
I been craving egg rolls ever since I saw the recent Mortal Kombat movie
Lolz, nice.
I love these , and most of the videos tbh but you’re such a chatter box 😆
Can I substitute the pickled radish for anything else?
sweet pickles are similar in texture and flavor :)
What is that red paste called again? I'm trying to find it on Amazon.
Gochugang I think
@@babycthuyx yep and I just bought some from Amazon a few days ago. I found this video because I'm looking for different ways to use it lol it's really good though 😊
Ik I can't make it and I can't eat but ofcourse I can watch it!! 😂🤪
The only thing overwhelming to me is I am allergic to peanuts tree nuts and everything seeds related. Still trying to figure out what I am allowed to have and still trying to push my limits 😢
Actually Korean food seems kinda super simple to me, I’ve been getting into it lately. Or maybe the foods I been cooking are just not simple at all 🙄🤣
