- How to Build a DIY Cat Tree - My mother-in-law recently rescued a cat, and she asked ifI could make her a cat tree. I thought that sounded like a fun challenge, so I said I would be happy to. I made it from a branch I found in the woods, and with nothing but scrap materials from around the barn and house.

Great looking cat tree.
Lucky cat!
I love it!
Great job!
Love the sewing part hahah, my cat would probably not be the right fit for this cat tree...He's a little on the plus side hahah Great video. Love your videos.
Sewing is not my strong suit, but I suppose it's like any other machine... It just requires practice.
Came here after seeing your channel recommended by Rag 'n' Bone Brown. Enjoyed the video, thanks.
Thanks for stopping by! I am glad you enjoyed the video.
This is a great project and I like the way you made it from scrap materials that you already had. Thanks for sharing
Thanks, it also makes my mother-in-law happy, and that's a good thing 😄
How's she goin'? Now this is a nice build. I really like that you used the many scraps that end up around the shop and usually just gather dust and dirt!!! Turned out really nice and I'm sure the cat loves it, even it it won't show it!!! LOL Take care!!
The price was right for this project - $2 for the rope!
Thanks so much for the lag bolt tip! How tall is this sucker? Is there a max height where you feel it would no longer be sturdy with just a lag screw? I can't stand the look of cat towers unless they're natural branch, but feel the customs are pretty spendy so I'm exploring my DIY options currently :)
It's about waist height, I would now go much taller with just one bolt
@@LogHouseFarm wow, that was the fastest reply I’ve experienced from any RUclipsr 😂, you just got a new subscriber! Thanks so much for the advice!! I grew up with a carpenter/contractor dad and now that I’m finally in a non-tiny apartment I’m slowly collecting all the power tools I’ve always dreamed of having. This cat tree will be my first project and this vid was one of the only ones I could find that was super helpful!!
@@cloerosesmith if you make one from a branch, be sure to let it dry inside for a while before you build or it may warp.
@@LogHouseFarm I’ll def keep that in mind thank you!!
@@LogHouseFarmhow long would you suggest drying it for?
Nooice!
