Beginning of 2020 I got diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Right before covid broke out. This song hit me deep during this year. So one time, in 2008, I was riding my bike across Alaska in February on the Iditarod trail, and I accidentally put the Truckers version of this song on repeat on my MP3 player. I had been awake for about 2 days and was pretty whacked out. I realized about 6 hours later that I had been listening to the same song over and over. It's really imprinted on my brain. Still love it though.
