@@_perspicax_ Kanye is known to go off topic. It would look foolish to try to assign chapters to any other Kanye “debate”. I’m not impressed by your attempt to discredit my opinionnnn
The man was trying to steer the convo every time kanye went into depth. He stops his proceeds to compliment him to no end then pushes convo in direction he wants it. Why? Because kanye was telling the truth. This lex guy is a clown and proved kanyes point even more.
@Jason what a joke lol ye is a racist so much of what he said is an obvious double standard that's easily picked apart. The fact he said to get rid of history Wich rewrites itself in a world without knowledge he uses religion to justify anti semitism much like Hitler did. No red flags? The guy needs to get back on his meds I agree with total free speech and to give a guy of his stature a platform to debate is important. However it's pretty wild to even try to have a conversation with someone so obviously mentally ill. Delusions of God convincing him to do such irrational things is plane mental illness and is why church is separated from state
@Jason are you for real? You literally have that backwards. Lex had nowhere near the the reach Kayne has and I’m sure plenty of folks have called Lex out on his bullshit in his life. Kayne or “Ye” did not once call Lex out on any bullshit, quite the opposite actually. Why do you think Kayne got so angry when Lex asked the question “has anyone ever called you out on your bullshit?” When Lex brought up the FACT George Floyd didn’t die of fetenyal (cause he didn’t, if you die of fetenyal then you die on the couch or street where you take it. (It’s literally impossible to get up while OD’ing on opiates/fetenyal and walk around, have a conversation, know where you’re even going or what’s going on) When Lex brought up the fact Kayne went straight on the defensive of “well, planned parenthood has killed” completely avoiding the conversation completely because he knows he can’t win it. Also, who cares if Kayne gave 2 mil to the Floyd family if he’s going around and spreading misinformation about their son? He’s doing way more harm than good spreading his brain worms. Kayne is like Trump, you can’t get into a debate with them because they’ll always deflect, spit out word salad that makes absolutely no fucking sense, and then sit there and smile about it because they’re so egomaniacal that they think they won the debate when in reality all they’ve done is say a whole bunch of nothing. Kayne West is spewing out THE EXACT SAME TALKING POINTS AS NEO NAZIS AND THE KKK. He can’t differentiate that there are plenty of Jews in powerful positions within Hollywood and other sorts of entertainment as opposed to Hollywood being ran by Jews which is a huge fucking difference. I don’t know if you’re African American or not but for a second let’s say you are. You work your ass off to be head of Disney with no help from anyone else. You grinded your way to the top and looked around at other businesses realizing other African Americans were doing the same and getting great jobs like execs at a big time places like Sony. As a minority it would make you feel pretty proud (and there’s way way way less Jewish people than African American, keep in mind. 40mil to 7 mil I believe in America) Then outta nowhere these little fringe racist groups say African American’s are controlling everything and that’s why the country is so messed up.. Then it’s not just fringe groups by the biggest artist of the last decade spouting off the insane bullshit. Saying you haven’t earned that, that your type basically conspires to hold all the power…. I’m pretty sure that would piss you off after all that hard work you did. For some jackass to say that you were given this position because of your race…. Quit riding Kayne’s junk. He needs help. He’s a egomaniacal that needs his medicine who is spreading a lot of hatred through the US right now from ignorance. I mean literally all of his talking points come from white supremacists/neo nazis. He’s a confused man and doesn’t need people like yourself backing his misguided racism up when we already have enough hate in the world. Lex actually could’ve played him like a fiddle cause it’s obvious who had the higher IQ in this conversation and it wasn’t the one that mentioned his penis size 4 times. Lex rlly could’ve fucked Kayne up in this interview but even though Lex got a finger in his face followed by racism directed towards him, he remained calm and actually tried to get Kayne to backtrack from the ignorant ass shit he was already saying to maybe help him. That’s the truth and srry if you wanna fall into that hate bullshit with Kayne.
@Orisheju Ukuedojor Because, as I think the original commenter meant by his comment…I could be wrong tho… Is because Kayne did more harm against his cause than good. If we would’ve just silenced Kayne then we wouldn’t know how crazy his beliefs rlly were but he’d have a Group behind him complaining how he’s being silenced. Basically Kayne did himself more harm than anyone ever could’ve.
you might be the only person who thought it was possible that Lex would be a "yes man" towards kanye. What I didn't expect was for him to act like such a victim. The horrors of the hol****st has already been embeded into the American psyche, H**ler is a common synonym for the devil here and we even have hate crime laws to punish those who commit violence because of someone's race/religion/ethnicity (excluding whites, Cannon Hinnant and Darrel E Brooks being two recent examples). So with all that there's still a fear that the US could start another hol****st against the jewish people. Its irrational and downright insulting towards Americans.
@@henlofren7321 agree, Ye mentioned Americas black abortion. An extra 9 million black kids since roe v wade and Lex dismissed it with their choice, their choice to Yes holocaust. A very weak dismissal of Ye's holocaust. Then Lex expects Ye to trust him, whilst he support those choices. Eugenicists introduced abortion to cull blacks/workingclass/disableds, through immigration it sees better stock arrive. Lex proudly boasts over both in other videos, and as a man he's smart enough to have been able to join the dots. Even a basic acknowledgement of the data would have been decent. Latinos and blacks are close on economic/iq data, black abortion twice as high. Instead lex like mainstream media types Piers Morgan run off on the idea that Ye is causing the ww2 holocaust. This media hysteria you might expect to be evident when wars break out, but they are usually pro-war. The media controls language as if they care about bad things not happening, but their industry thrives on rage clicks, and there's rarely a war they don't promote. Half a million dead iraqi kids to remove Sadam, was it worth it ? Us official, yes it was worth it. These same hypocrites act like yeah might get a gang of kids killed. He's trying to stop the excess abortion of black kids through eugenic engineering that Lex supports. 9 million more than other races. Watching Lex maintain a moral high ground on hate speech whilst a supporter of choice regarding a eugenic social engineering program, was peak clown world
We understood kanye better on this interview, kanye stayed calm because lex didn't ignore what kanye was trying to explain, the reason why this interview went smooth because lex genuinely tried understanding what kanye was explaining and correcting kanye if he disagrees. Thank you lex
Good takeaway. One thing I'd like to add to your comment is Lex wasn't trying to correct Ye, just express his opinion and persuade him and give him the chance to think differently.
Problem is he isn't in any position to correct Kanye on certain points, where lex presented his truth as the truth... Great interview... But Kanye has said nothing wrong about Jewish controlled media... If it were black people doing what the Jews in power are doing... We would collectively be killed or at least exiled from this country.. At what point does the engineer approach apply to the Jewish in power revamping how they interface with societies.. seeing what it has historically played out across 100s of years in 10s of nations... It's allot easier to play victim instead of telling the truth.... It's like the police, how can you be a good cop if you don't put the bad cops on blast, and then cry foul when the people that are victim and witness to the bs think all cops are bad... It's a sick mind game being played
@@k1chris1 exactly what I felt after watching the whole interview trust me only if he had tried to correct him once we would have seen some rage for example even when lex said don't say Jewish media and dude went JM see? I honestly think Lex just delivered the most impressive interviewing talent I've ever seen. Kanye is almost impossible to navigate a conversation with and Lex was flawless. The way he respectfully listened to and disagreed then collaborated with Kanye was a lesson in effective communication and an example of what we should strive towards. It's far more effective and productive than cancellation.
Yes, I found myself in actual awe of Lex throughout this... stunning emotional intelligence, insight, kindness, respectfulness, and humor, while speaking his truth, and facing very difficult topics head on.
2:14:46 Wow, this part really touched my heart I felt like crying yet laught instead The fact that Lex was hurt by Ye (by „I don’t trust you“) and still said „I love you“ and then Ye changing his mind and saying „I love you“ back is incredible. A sign of great men interaction Thank you for this video, though-provoking and full of kindness and understanding
I've seen interviews in the past where Lex struggled to find words, closing his eyes, moving a bit slower to put thoughts together on highly abstract and complex subjects. Here however, Lex solidified himself as one of the best interviewers by holding his composure, pushing back when necessary, being well informed, and joking when there was space for it. Bravo
Ye is speaking his mind but you can see Lex is uncomfortable and feels offended by it. Lex needs to calm down and stop being so emotional. Lex failed to really convey Ye ideal. Lex just feels offended with what Ye is basically saying and not really understanding. Lex emotion even stopped him from doing an interview with Andrew Tate.

Charlemagne the God interview with Kanye 2017, Ye is saying whet he said on the Jewish culture, yet he said it in a totally different way. He was speaking highly of the Jewish Culture. It's the best interview I've seen and now this one is just as great.

Yup and kanye is missing one half. Its why hes a great ans successful artists, but exhausting to be his friend probably. I cant even finish this podcast. Its too much the rambling, the ego, and all.
You can tell that Ye will not trust anybody, probably ever again? You noticed he said the only one that has his back is “God!” Each time Lex gave a compliment to Ye, he just sat there, he never responded in kind! Ye being a “disciple of God”, sure has a hard time complimenting other races and religions???
Truly a masterclass in composure, empathy, and demonstrating how to seek to understand. Thank you Lex for showing the power of long form content and why we need conversations like this in the public forum. To debate, to agree, disagree, find common ground, and to come together in understanding. One of the best interviews ever IMO
Thank you! I just commented the same thing up above on what seemed to be a hate thread. If you guys are scrolling through you’ll likely come across it, but my entire point behind everything I said was how all around brilliant this convo was. I’m very curious to see if they become friends after this. Ye is the type of madness that Lex loves, and Lex is the genuine realness and intelligence that Ye craves and needs.
I agree, I just think Lex just have pushed harder with the jewish comments, like just debunking the theory would have been great, bringing in some facts that disprove the "jewish" media, etc. Not everybody is rational and/or comes from a place of love, its not totally unrealistic to assume that a few % of people that will listen to the podcast will be drawn by antisemitic tropes.
Lex came from a place of genuine love but he got too emotional and failed to really see and touch on the current oppression that black people go through today in America. Lex focused too much on telling YE how he was commenting on how the Jewish media/exes/CEOs have done bad business with him and he can’t call them out because it brings up the memories of the holocaust. That’s not what YE is trying to do, in that exchange the real current oppression that is happening in America today got glossed over by Lex. Glad he gave YE his time to speak and didn’t interrupt.
Its amazing how blinded people are about so many facts and important things Kanye pointed out. No one is speaking about them but rather appreciating how Lex "handled" the situation so well. It was actually very clever of him to navigate the topic when he knew if he digged too much he'd be in trouble and have no reply. Just another proof of how blinded, deep into the media echo chamber we are in here in the West.
The fact that this man can hold a conversation with Noam Chomsky, magnus Carlsen, and Kanye west is just a testament to lex’s logical thinking and purely class-act interviewing
He wasn’t too logical here. I watch all his interviews and Lex was emotional. He wasn’t coming back with facts. 54:00 Here. “There’s no Jewish Media!” Really Lex?

Stupidity will never be eradicated. It will employ the tools of reason, logic, lies, emotion (demagoguery), socialization, acculturation.. it is really best to have no dialogue with it.. better to ignore it, clown it, treat it like the idiocy that it is.. but here we have people who engage it as if it were worthy of serious dialogue & consideration. Not everything that poses in the garb of credibility ought to be recognized as such. This interview was either a mistake or a publicity stunt. I’ll take it as a simple mistake.

@@Godsfavouriteidiot_ I've watched a few. The first one I saw was with the RZA. I don't think a conversation needs to be "spicy" to be on a bigger platform. I'm not talking about "tv" or something like that. With conversations in mind, a bigger platform in this case means more about who his guests are, or the particular topics the guest carry around with them, and how currently relevant those topics might be. Personally, I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing some of my favorite ppl/figures, just sit down and talk with Lex. There are too many talented or interesting ppl, walking around, interview after interview being asked the same boring questions over and over. Ppl are not just what it is they do. They carry around stories, and also lessons from their journey. We can meet a Scientist, but his most interesting thing to say might be how he has learned to be more present. Who knows.
Lex is weak here. Can't give him the naive pass on this. He won't dare to engage with the fact that Kanye/Ye has been heavily censored(also lost many businesses partnerships, his good music record label dropped from def jam, his bank acc closed) and had hit piece after hit piece to make him look crazy. Conservative media constantly talks about black culture/people needing to take accountability. Can't say it the other way though. Oh no, that's definitely not ok. Why are there antisemitism discrimination bills and not anti Christian discrimination bills? I agree that there's danger in calling out groups of people but sometimes you need to ruffle some feathers to get a conversation going. Kanye is right that everyone who interviews him simply want him to apologise and shut up and none want to ask why he actually got to where he has.
First time I’ve ever heard a Kanye interview where someone else was able to talk. Not only that, but pushed back a little on the wild things he proclaims. Lex is proving to be the best interviewer of our generation
I’m just impressed by the people he’s been able to get on the show. Lex is great but it’s like he pulled this success out of thin air. He was just some academic and turned into easily a top 3-5 podcaster. Respect
It only sounds wild to people who haven't been searching for the truth for decades. You can say what you want but it doesn't change the fact. "history was written by the Victor's" but yet people still base their knowledge of history on it. Human history is alot more interesting, exciting, and scary than anyone seems to want the plebs to know
If the bipolar diagnosis is correct and depending on its severity this may very much on where Ye is in his mood cycle - and it would not be surprising if someone in a manic state was more likely to seek out interviews than at other times. I very much see the potential for some of these interviews to be border on taking advantage of someone with a mental illness.

Ye is so sensitive! So when Lex acknowledged his own hurt feelings, owned them, and expressed empathy for Ye's lack of trust, the disarming effect on Ye finally led to his sincere apology near the end. Amazing. I'd say masterful, but it wouldn't have worked if it hadn't been sincere.
Well put.. This is how the game goes.. Takes one with capacity (which Lex obvi has) to recognize that the only way hw would of appologiized sincerely is if lex worked through the slight as he did and then to still display empathy is very disarming. To anyone with a conscience that is...

I genuinely enjoyed this podcast. The emotional progression of the conversation was perfectly culminated at the end where Ye's apology was coming from a place of true sincerity. I credit that progression to Lex's complete honesty about how he was feeling throughout the entire conversation. When Lex was vulnerable to show how he really felt after Ye said he didn't trust him, I saw the barrier Ye put up - slowly come down. He saw that Lex was being genuine and actually looking out for him, maybe something Ye hasn't had in a long while, someone who isn't afraid to confront him, agree with him, and ultimately be vulnerable with him. This is one of the most underrated interviews. Kanye's truth needs to be heard and Lex gave him a platform to take accountability as well as express what he means when he says what he says.
The verbal exchange when Ye told Lex he doesn't trust him was so intense even I got hurt. The ending was beautiful. What a roller coaster of an interview. Kudos, Lex. No one else could do the magic you did in this episode.
Never seen someone not only understand Ye so well but also be able to rebuttal, call him out where necessary, and possibly have changed his mind on some things. I feel like people get scared of him when they interview him or just let him rant on and on and then just shake there heads in agreement. Great interview as always Lex!

This was lex's greatest trial. He held together well and at the same time showed many of us the difference between disagreeing from a place of pain or anger, and disagreeing from a place of hope and love. This conversation is a great example of why free speech shouldn't be suppressed and that bad ideas should be openly confronted with good ones.
Exactly why
@Jason what a joke lol ye is a racist so much of what he said is an obvious double standard that's easily picked apart. The fact he said to get rid of history Wich rewrites itself in a world without knowledge he uses religion to justify anti semitism much like Hitler did. No red flags? The guy needs to get back on his meds I agree with total free speech and to give a guy of his stature a platform to debate is important. However it's pretty wild to even try to have a conversation with someone so obviously mentally ill. Delusions of God convincing him to do such irrational things is plane mental illness and is why church is separated from state
@Jason lol I can’t believe you follow Ye’s worldview. Your brain must have fallen out. The only one full of S*** here is Kanye and his fans
Lex not being a "yes man" throughout this entire podcast is the best thing that could have happened
you might be the only person who thought it was possible that Lex would be a "yes man" towards kanye.

I agree, I just think Lex just have pushed harder with the jewish comments, like just debunking the theory would have been great, bringing in some facts that disprove the "jewish" media, etc. Not everybody is rational and/or comes from a place of love, its not totally unrealistic to assume that a few % of people that will listen to the podcast will be drawn by antisemitic tropes.
incredible. Been a lifelong fan of Kanye and I’ve never seen an interviewer of his stay as simultaneously grounded and compassionate as lex did
Lex came from a place of genuine love but he got too emotional and failed to really see and touch on the current oppression that black people go through today in America.

It only sounds wild to people who haven't been searching for the truth for decades. You can say what you want but it doesn't change the fact. Lex has gotten way more loose and open on his podcasts from when he first started while maintaining his unique temperament it’s so dope to see him with Kanye in this especially as someone that Kanye is looking to for help and advice due to his current state of trusting engineers 😂 crazy, the intégration is insane
watching this interview for the first time two years later...Kanye just blew my mind twice. wow
@2:18:50
@1:52:30 - 2:00:00ish. have to watch whole interview for both of these comment's timestamps
Greatest Kanye interview ever conducted. Thanks Lex.
Fox news did a pretty good job
Better than this.
what makes you think it was such a great interview?
That back and forth of valid points between two parties
@@danieltosta769 what valid points did Kanye make? I don't wanna fight I'm genuinely curious
@@thishandleistacken talking about the population control of blacks, talking about the media and who owns it, how they play both sides. HE talks about how all these people are canceling him, the same people that is creating this psychosis. Kayne west is so free to joke about his huge cock to talking without any filter. You hear him talking but you're not listening to what he's saying
This was lex's greatest trial. He held together well and at the same time showed many of us the difference between disagreeing from a place of pain or anger, and disagreeing from a place of hope and love.
Lex really set the example here... For us all, and I hope some of it rubs off a little bit on Ye. It might ease some of what he's going through right now.
This may not have been the most pleasurable conversation for you Lex, but I truly believe you did your best. ❤️ You have the patience of a Saint. ❤️
This could be one of the best examples of "rising to the occasion" that I've ever witnessed. Way to go Lex.
Loved everything about it. Lex had to throw down his cardboard when shit got hardcore.
I love 99.9% of the content that Lex produces. However, this time i feel that he wasn't up for the task. Ye is an emotional rollercoaster and Lex's code has a tiny bug that has shown itself when emotions started jumping all over the place. I hope Lex, will watch this video again and learn from it. Great guy nevertheless. :)
Lex ;warns Ye of people trying to gain his trust.
Ye ; says I dont ttust you Lex.
Lex You hurt my feelings!
@@Zb_Calisthenic Also...
Lex; create a better label or company to change the game.
Ye; Going to hire all black engineers.
Lex; nice personal journey
It's a small company.
Notice invalidations and contradictions? Hmm
lex is a corrupt jew, and part of that cabal, so that was why he did it.
