Epic Man is a real find. I remember as a youth in the early 90's being spellbound by a sample of the original Tsar by Van Cleef & Arpels. The most mature and serious scent I'd smelled to that point and would for some time, but it was unforgettable. I eventually bought a bottle around 2014, but that was in the clear art deco bottle by then and it was obviously not as complex as the massive list of notes of the original. The reform was good in its own right as a green-woody-soapy scent, but the first time I smelled Epic Man it took me back to that vintage Tsar. Maybe that's perception based on the changes in my nose from then to now, but it was an immediate time machine for me.
Can't wait to get a bottle of it, probably around March/April next year when Autumn rolls around down under. Royal Water is nice but I much prefer 1872 for men by Clive Christian, way more vivid. Royal Mayfair I almost blind bought on black friday but held myself back, I can't seem to find a tester of it anywhere

I got rid of my Epic Man by gifting it to family when I was going through one of my downsizing phases, but now thinking of getting it back in my collection. I remember the performance being weak on it though, what's your experience?

I feel the same, epic woman is so sour. Pickles all the way. All the spices and beauties are evaporating so fast, and I can feel just a pickle rose😢
the extrait is heaps better in this regard, but kinda pricey
