One of my most worn fragrances is YSL myslf but there's been awkward moments when everyone asks what are you wearing and I say myslf and then they don't really understand that's the name of a fragrance and I have to explain to them it's the YSL fragrance in the black bottle lol

Sometimes it's funny when the trolls take over fragrantica and when a new fragrance is released the "smells like" fragrances are all the ones with funny names or secretions magnifique

It's a very powerful smell, wear 1-2 sprays max I promise, anything more and people will complain, I know from experience lol

Is it only me, I think the smell of Beau de Jour is kind of similar with Lalique Pour Homme edt.

I'll have to try some of these, tom ford is a house I hated at first but now as i'm getting older and smelled heaps more fragrances I understand the fragrances more now. I think most tom ford can be a bit challenging to wear and more mature scents. Oud wood I hated at first, but now I like the smell even if I wouldn't wear it on myself. Neroli portofino I didn't like at first either but it's grown on me now. Ombre leather I think is a nice leather scent, white suede I thought was also nice for mature/older woman. Vanilla sex is controversial but I liked that scent too even if it has a playdough smell to it from the nuts. Noir extreme I liked the most from the tom ford fragrances, smooth and gourmand. Mandarino di amalfi also similar to neroli portofino didn't like it or hate it, thought it was pretty basic but it's grown on me more too.. Fkn fabulous is a fragrance I still don't understand though I just find it to be very weird the smell of it it's hard to describe, it almost smells a bit medicinal though

Toyota. They're not Ferrari. But who cares? Similarly, ARMAF. They're not Creed, but who cares-I've got ten or more Armafs, but no Creed. Compliments and enjoyment is great

It's smells nice from a distance, but up close you can smell that its a cheap fragrance imo.

Its always subjective, most people like it, some don’t. For those in the Trump country (US) who want to purchase this fragrance, its on sale at Costco: 1.7 oz is $100 and 3.3 oz is $170

The only ones I have are Noir Extreme and Noir Extrem Parfum 🤷 I like them both, but that's all I can contribute

The best tom ford ever produced in my humble opinion is Plum Japonais. It still hurts even to this day that it was discontinued

This is cool. In you we trust to tell the scent as it is in your nose, and not as it is in the hype. If you have ranking videos like this from other fragrance brands, I would love to watch them all.

Great review! I just discovered the channel and I the content seems to be really good ! Concerning Beau de jour I had a similar experience I tested on paper at Sephora and I was pleased by the opening on paper , that lavender 🪻 field smell was awesome to me, but on my skin I don't like the first 15min of the opening, once the middle notes start to appear Beau de jour becomes a really classy and cosy fragrance at the same time the oak moss and the geranium gives some sharpness but it is very well balanced by the amber and the patchouli. I also agree that I can picture Tom Ford himself wearing this one (same for grey Vétiver EDP).

Excellent video my friend. I do like Coromandel, but it's not something i would ever wear, so have never owned a bottle. I've gone through a few 5ml decants over the last 10 - 15 years, but it's just never grabbed me. Similar story with Antaeus, i like the smell but would never wear it. There are only a few from Chanel that are 'for me' bottle worthy, Cuir de Russie, Egoiste, Allure Homme Sport & AHSEE. SOTD - YSL Noble Leather
