There can be many way inheritance, buying before 2009(during wartime land prices were relatively low), getting government housing ect. This proposed tax is a disaster which affects poor people especially. It's land grab trying to grab good land from poor or middle class people.

@@elapplzsl general rule of thumb is avararge house price should be around 5 times the annual salary. So about 5millon. These prices are propup by overseas Sri Lankan mostly and may end badly.
