The Fame Monster is an EP. it was an extension of The Fame where TFM is basically the “dark side” of fame.
On some leaked Gaga’s documents TFM is mentioned as an album, not an EP.

Ugh whenever I remembered Speechless is about her dad, I just can't. It's too much, even though my parents are alive and well, I just want to go give them a hug
I feel like So Happy I Could Die is such a great song for different reasons, but basically it’s because of its "sublime" or "elevated" sound. I mean, i find it to be like a spiritual experience that lifts me regardless of the dark lyrics. Definitely one of my faves from this album!

the greatest thing is even though gaga was still trying to penetrate the music industry during the fame era, the fame monster is still a very personal masterpiece that anyone can find a part of themselves at different periods of their lives. almost everyone i met has a different favorite song for various reasons.

The Fame speaks about the glamorization of fame, the idea of what people think it’s like VS The Fame Monster is more about her fears and darker side of fame. Each song in The Fame Monster speaks to one of the fears that Gaga encounters in her personal life attributed by her rise to fame. Some “fears” are: sex, men, truth, and death. She worked on this while she was in a dark mental space bc she had finally gotten fame, but didn’t know it came with such a high price. That’s why this EP is SUPER personal to her.

You should review A Star is Born! It’s a soundtrack album but to be honest it very much deserves to be next to Gaga’s studio albums. And it’s a better listen than Cheek to Cheek!

"Speechless" live is a true blessing. You should react to her concert "The Monster Ball Tour Live at Madison Square Garden". It's a true masterpiece and it's on DVD/Blu-Ray
Dance in the dark and Speechless are two of my favorite gaga songs from all time (and I'm a die hard little monster). I feel this album is timeless and it still seems fresh

TFM is an EP! She intended it as an EP then later in 2012 she considered it as a seperate album but technically it's still an EP.

About So happy I could die, I totally understand you, I didn't liked this song either when I first listened to it but I painfully relate to it's lyrics n now it's one of my favorites. The meaning behind the lyrics it's her fear of addiction/alcohol n I also have this fear because for a time I persued this felling of "so happy I could die" through drinking you know.

Dance in the Dark is in my top 5 Gaga songs, it's sort of like the beta for Chromatica's "dance through your pain" energy.
The Fame was her debut album, which she then re-released with an additional album tacked a year later. So they are meant to be viewed as one album. You can go and purchased the Deluxe Edition with both of them on there.
You need to see The Fame Monster as an extension of The Fame. 8 more songs to continue the saga. It’s contractually known as a whole new album, but since it’s just 8 songs, it was released physically as an ep for the fame

The Fame Monster was originally set to be an 8 track re-release of The Fame. Gaga however decided to release it as a standalone EP, though some consider it a studio album. However, it was also released as deluxe edition with disc 2, being The Fame. Annoyingly here in the UK, we could only buy the deluxe, so if you bought The Fame and wanted The Fame Monster, you had to buy The Fame again or download each song separately. This started a trend that includes Lana's Born To Die/Paradise and Kesha's Animal/Cannibal, where albums were essentially re-released with an EP, which could also be bought separately, depending on region, the UK always got shafted by never being able to just by the EP.

Ive always had this thought that Monster is about helplessly falling in love with a bad boy even though you know all the bad stuff that's happened to his exes. "He ate my heart and then he ate my brain" he made me fall in love with him and now im mentally consumed by him like my every thought is him and i cant break away from that.

Gaga wrote Speechless from her moms perspective thats why it sounds like a love song but even like that she has some parts from her perspective like the part where she says she will never write a song or even sing along she promised that if her dad died in his heart surgery she would have retired to take care of her mom and sister

Gaga had been writing songs since 14 or so. She had a lot of songs available. All needed some production time. All could not fit on one album. So, The Fame got some. The Monster got some more. CHECK OUT - the Telephone video with Beyonce - touch to beat, other than Bad Romance.

Each song on this EP/Album Battle represents one of Gaga's fears
The fear of sex that is retracted in Monster is based on the harassment that she suffered from a producer that gave her the fear that she has of sex. She also talks about it in Free Woman (Chromatica), Swine(ARTPOP), Till it happens to you (single), Judas (Born this way) and The queen (Born this way)
I just realized that Speechless COULD be a soundtrack on A Star Is Born, never mind the fact that there's literally a song called I'll Never Love Again from the movie.
