So fluid and knows where to land. ALL HAIL STURGILL. one of the best feel...guitarist in the world.
Sturgill’s the best thing to happen to not only real country music but music in general. A true artist. Not an ounce of Nashville Bullshit in that man.! Love you Sturgill.
Honestly people I'm like a kid in a candy store every time I hear something new from sturgill Simpson it's always fresh it's always knew and it's definitely unique and edgy I love it
He's the first person I want to see when the world opens back up.
I was just saying that! Hell yeah
Sounds good. He was actually the last show we saw right before everything closed down.
He and Tyler were our last show before the world shut down too. Thanks for the upload, great video
Unless you got to see him in between the time of your comment and now, it may be too late. He ruptured his vocal cord and won't be able to perform for a long time, if ever realistically. So shitty.
@@dougscoggins8927 LUUUCCCKKKYYYYYYYYYY!!!
Great country music...with a uni-vibe pedal! Love it!
Simpson could have just as easily made a psychedelic rock record, but he chose to make it a hybrid country thing which is cool. Just makes me wonder what other amazing music he could make if he went any other direction...
I'm so glad sturg invented rock and roll again
Yep❤️🎶
He was so.in the zone, still is to this day!!
This is great but the Metamodern studio version confirms that Sturgill has listened to Are You Experienced while high on acid, lol
What a legend
He’s a badass for sure. Most of us that are lucky enough to be born and raised in the Bluegrass state of Kentucky are of course, especially us hillbillies from eastern Kentucky
He is my favorite and I believe he is underrated. Diverse, talented, master artist!,
How underrated of a guitar player is he?!?!
I agree that he has not been recognized for guitar playing. I also can see a guy who has been practising and getting better at his craft! He is not the player he was 6-8 years ago!
@@independentmusicguy and his tone and effects are🤌
He's a freaking beast
@@independentmusicguyhe probably does practice and improve but he was always better at playing than most know ….he played lead in Sunday Valley before he journeyed on with his own band. And Kentuckians always wanted to see him jam more because they had seen him jam so much in the past.
He’s a different kind of dude and I always respected his uniqueness….most people that can play like that want the attention where as he kinda doesn’t care. He just stays in the pocket and makes music
I always got the impression that he would be content being in a band supporting another lead…cause he’s all about the music. But him having that kind of disposition is what makes him such awesome if not magnetic leader.
(But in response to what the original commenter said….yes he’s very underrated)
Not at all if you know
Thanks for uploading all of these. Not sure if you were a fan who had a good spot and a good camera or if you professionally do this, but we really appreciate it.
I'm just hoping to find a show that ain't sold out that's close to me I've been listening to schedule for about 10 years or better and I think he's one of the best guitarists I've seen in a long time
Listening to sturgill
I agree! Sturgill is amazing 🤗🎶❤️
Sounds like to me as long as you're not married we might try to catch the sturgill Simpson show somehow somewhere
If I could listen to one song forever, this is it!
I just listen to this all day long while working. I've heard the records azillion times and the live sounds is the best!! Thanks!

Would like Elizabeth cook to do a few tune with him, splitting each band in 1/2. Keep SS drummer and using Cooks Bassist.
