For Australian J11 2.0L MR20DD engines, the oil drain plug is a 14mm hex head and the torque is 36 ft/lb (from the owners manual; DIY maintenance section).
Suggestions for improvement: 1) @0:16 Please also mention the 8mm square bit that is needed for the oil drain plug. This is critical. Without this bit, you cannot proceed at all! 2) Based on the videos, I bought the book, but the book does not mention anything about the tools needed. I am looking at 1A-10, section 13. Technically, this lack of information in the book means that I get more useful info from the video. It would be great if the book could be more comprehensive.
Who ever decided to make the filter cap plastic really ticks me off. Same with the person before who decided to torque that cap to 10,000in lbs. Im rounding the plastic socket point because its so tight and made of plastic...any tricks besides WD40 to loosen that sucker up?
@@HaynesManuals Having done the job today I have a few comments which hopefully people will find helpful. 1. The 8mm sump plug tool is not listed in the tools at the start of the video. This is not a standard tool so people need to make sure they have one before taking things apart. I didn’t have one so I used my grinder to make one from an old 3/8in extension piece. 2. The cover on my qashqai was held on with 4 bolts and 11 plastic rivets. No screws. It’s a 2017 1.2 petrol. It helps to use a screwdriver to align the holes when refitting the rivets. 3. I used shell helix 5W-40 ultra but it’s not that clear in the handbook whether this is the best choice.
Hi I have a 2014 1.6 j11 qashqai, is the axel stand location the same as in the video and what is the white pad that you have place on top of your axel stand? Thanks
Hello mates, how much automatic oil is necessary for change? i cannot find anywhere ? the motor oil for my J11 Qashqai is 6L but idk the qty for the automatic oil... Can somebody help a matey here ? Thanks
Nissan Qashqai - The most dirtiest car I have ever driven in my life. Even the old Volkswagen Beetle exceeds it in performance & dependability😡 Why on earth a new car @50,000 km wears & tears it’s vital engine parts so easily??? I have dedicated an hour every day to stay at Nissan sales doors & warn people that they’re gonna throw away their money. I am really mad with what’s been done to me by Nissan/Renault evil alliance!!! Never ever buy a Nissan car until they feel people’s pain!!

According to our manual, an 8mm square section bit is needed
