Great job! I remember how hyped up Luck was. All you would hear is how good of a Qb he was. This class was somethin else and shaped the NFL for the next decade if you think about it.
As a Seahawks fan I thought the most talked about pass was going to be Russel throwing it on the goal line to lose the super bowl. The one QB from this class that is often forgot about with a unique story is Case Keenum. The guy put up ridiculous numbers at Houston, went undrafted, but has had some good moments in the NFL. I know he's a backup now, but he's definitely had success.
If Luck didn't get the shit kicked out of him, I think he would have won at least 1 super bowl. It just sucks that he was with the Colts who thought they could cheap out on an O-LIne to protect him because he was more mobile than Manning ever could be.
Wish you talked about Brock Osweiler's story of leaving the broncos after Payton left to join the Texans for the pay raise. Would have loved to hear it again
My favorite part about the Brock Osweiler story is that he was so bad and the Texans regretted the contract so much, that they traded a 2nd round pick to the Browns just to get rid of him. Gotta respect him for the 41 million dollar finesse.
RGIII had vaugus knee, where your knees cave inward. in his broad jump during the combine, his knees caved in when he landed. his knee problem is what caused his knee injury

@John Nichols I’m a Packers fan, but out of this class I like seeing the guys succeed, I like watching everyone succeed, especially guys like Foles and Russ who were way over looked
I really don't think calling Luck's playstyle reckless was the core reason the man no longer plays. I blame the lack of a line, decisions of coaching staff and overall management. The Colts ruined him. When you get a QB like that, you protect him at all cost. And the Colts never did that.
I have to appreciate you making a video like this, if for no other reason than you KNOW full well you can't make it without talking about another dark moment in the history of your favorite team. I also never thought about the Robert Griffin III tragedy like that before. I always thought that management completely screwed him after his injury, but I guess there's another side of the story. That definitely explains why he never had a resurgence after he left Washington, much as I wanted him to. (....Well, that and he kept getting extra injuries on top of his old one... So I'd still say it's mostly tragic and not what he deserved.)

Due to injuries, one of THE potentially greatest QBs we have seen in a generation didn't live up to what he was sadly. Man, what he could've done if not for those injuries.

Correction: Ryan Tannehill was not a receiver when he went to A&M. He was a QB who was beat out by Jerrod Johnson. Tannehill wanted to play, so they had him play wide receiver and due to his athleticism, he shined at WR, but he still attended the QB room meetings and was still listed as a backup QB. When Jerrod Johnson got injured, Tannehill got his chance and was spectacular. He played midway through his junior year and all of his senior year. Sorry, but I think it's important to correct the record. Tannehill was handicapped the first part of his career at Miami with an incompetent owner, head coaching carousel, and porous O-LIne.

@Peters6221 Yup, I agree with you bud. It's unfortunate that the Colts was only able to get all the pieces together after Luck left. The current squad they got now would be terrifying with Luck under center.
Well, the QB spot is literally almost impossible to get right when it comes to these drafts. At the end of the day it either comes down to the player and his skills/work effort or the team and the scheme.
Tannehill's career revival is pretty neat. He landed in the best possible situation for himself and has maximized it. Even with this season being a little rough, they're still vying for the top AFC playoff spot. Tennessee got a solid QB for a song when they traded for him. The last portion of Wilson's rookie season seems rarely discussed. We knew in the Seattle region that he was turning into something special. I think it was the Chicago game where he led a 90 yard drive in the 4th quarter to tie the game, then another 90 yard drive in OT to win it. That was the "Oh wow" moment where his will to win was truly evident. Then they destroyed Arizona, Buffalo and San Francisco late in the season, beat RGIII in the playoffs and had one of the greatest 4th quarter comebacks against the Falcons the following week. It's a shame they couldn't stop Tony Gonzales of course. But Seattle fans went into 2013 knowing Wilson and that team was going to be special. The feeling that off season was unique and well, turned out to be correct.
The stories tend to be the careers cut short, and the value in later rounds. But this was not some hugely hyped class. It was acknowledged at the time that it was only 1.5 QBs deep.:)

@@jlobiafra I dont think so. He wasn't good enough to win the games he started, but won the one he took over, coming from behind. One of the loss wasnt his fault, and his QBR wasn't bad, and finished ahead of Romo that year. In fact, Weeden held the distinction of leading 2 NFL teams that year in QBR.
Funny thing is Weeden and Oklahoma State beat the sure thing Andrew Luck & Stanford in the Fiesta Bowl a few months before the draft.
@James Black That's true, but just stating the facts.
Poe throwing a TD is awesome

If the colts actually gave Luck protection he would still be in the league. Could you imagine just how good the colts would be right now with that current offensive line?
The year he quit we had arguably the best line in the league and he quit mid preseason. He’s hated in our state. Only people who like him are non Colts fans who are better off without him in the league.

Sure, the line played a part in that, but it’s not the whole reason he hung it up
10:35 personally I will NEVER forget about Brandon Weedon. I’m a saints fan living in Alaska and I’ve only ever been to 1 regular season game. I’ve been to a handful of pre season games. Anyways in 2015, the saints played the Cowboys in Sunday night football. This was one of those down years for the saints, ending the season 7-9. Romo was hurt for the cowboys so Weedon was starting. And he legit ALMOST BEAT US. Game went to OT and first play Brees threw the ball to CJ Spiller for an 80 yard TD to win the game. Regardless of the win, I will always be thankful Weedon was starting that night, cuz if Romo was playing , it probably would of been 20-45 saints lose.
Funny thing is Weeden and Oklahoma State beat the sure thing Andrew Luck & Stanford in the Fiesta Bowl a few months before the draft.
I'd argue the most memorable pass by a player from this draft class was a pass by Russell Wilson from a certain 1 yard line...
It's hilarious to see how much less insanely cluttered and over the top the ESPN set was in 2012.
I love when KTO uploads, makes my day!
Great job! I remember how hyped up Luck was. All you would hear is how good of a Qb he was. This class was somethin else and shaped the NFL for the next decade if you think about it.
I wish McDavid will not turn into Luck...
I mean, if we count one good season in a career of a guy with a losing record "success" ...
I wonder how he would’ve been had he stayed with the Broncos he played well with that system.

RGIII had vaugus knee, where your knees cave inward. in his broad jump during the combine, his knees caved in when he landed. his knee problem is what caused his knee injury
That Dontari Poe play always makes me smile. Great way to start my morning
4:38 gotta disagree with you KTO. General Manager Ryan Grigson never addressed the offensive line, so Luck would constantly take hard hits. I feel this was the biggest reason to his injuries
They tried but were unsucessful.
The year he quit the Colts had arguably the best o line in the league…he quit mid preseason the guy is a joke.

As a Colts fan, one of my biggest “what if” questions is just how good the Colts would be if Andrew Luck was on this current Colts team. Ryan Grigson left him out there to get killed with his piss poor management. 😩
I'll still say Luck will be the greatest "could've been" story in the NFL. He was an elite talent and his only knock was that he took too many risks with his body. Barring those terrible injuries he had a HOF trajectory career
Wilson's goal line pick in the super bowl was also pretty memorable.
Or the Failception.

The throw that becomes a meme.
I’m still singing the Andrew Luck blues in Indy. He still lives around here though so it’s nice the fans that booed him didn’t run him off completely.
Besides the magical runs Foles has with Phily in 17'-18' AND 18'-19' he also had a great 2013 season as a starter for the eagles. He is very incosistent but he might be the best backup QB of all time.
That 2013 season Foles had is still the 3rd highest Qb rating of all time. Only 3rd to Aaron Rodgers and Aaron Rodgers.
Also his td to int ratio is 2nd best of all time only losing out by .5 to Tom Brady.
He came back down 14-0 to beat the Seahawks two weeks ago, with the greatest 2pt play I've ever seen
and he threw 7 tds in a game that season, which is the shared record of tds in a single game
I love the chuckle when you said "The Browns would go on to draft Johnny Manziel"
Thanks to the Colts lack of an O Line, Luck’s insides were turned to jelly
despite not having great numbers and also retiring I think Osweiler had a really good time for himself.Got a massive contract and got a superbowl ring by covering for manning in the playoffs then ran to the bank at 30. Well done!
I would argue that the most memorable pass from this class was Malcolm Butler’s pick in SBXLIX
I love watching these videos because these are the QBs that were on the rise when I was becoming a real football fan and it's very interesting seeing their careers in a detailed hindsight. I also love reading the title of the video and predicting what play you'll put as the beat drop and I did not guess Dontari Poe lol... great video
Love the channel keep up the great work
i really appreciate people like you and flemlo for doing such good research i mean you probably remember this stuff happening somewhat but not everything most things you need to do some real research which i really thank you for.
Due to injuries, one of THE potentially greatest QBs we have seen in a generation didn't live up to what he was sadly. Man, what he could've done if not for those injuries.

Most memorable pass from this class is Wilson intercepted by Malcolm Butler at the goal line
KTO this is the greatest qb class of our era. 90s babies
If you’re taken to replace Peyton Manning and live up to the hype you’re definitely worth it. Such a shame Andrew Lucks career was ruined by injuries.
A lot of guys do what KTO does and they do it well. I can honestly say nobody in this genre on RUclips ends videos better than KTO. As a former defensive lineman you gotta love it!

Most memorable play for me had to be the Russell Wilson pick on the 1 yard line in the superbowl
Nick Foles was so good that I was bummed that he got Benched for Sam Bradford. Once he made his Return it was Legendary. His Statue of when he Said to Coach Peterson "You want to do the Philly Philly?" is Displayed at the Stadium. God Bless the Saint Nick!
He wasn’t benched for Bradford. Chip Kelly traded Foles to Rams in exchange for Bradford to replace him.
@@ErikCB912 I completely forgot that he got Traded.
Alternate title: How Dontari Poe could've revolutionized the wildcat offense... but honestly great vid as always man!
I’d say Wilson interception in the super bowl was pretty memorable
Yes
As a colts fan I 100% blame the team’s inability to protect Luck and draft an o-line. We let him down, not so much his play style
He quit on us mid preseason after we gave him one of the best lines in the league…stop making excuses for him.

The most memorable pass made by someone in this draft class was made by an undrafted player, not by Dontari Poe. Case Keenum to Steffon Diggs in the playoffs, Keenum went undrafted out of Houston after graduating with the NCAA record for career passing yards.
Na, as unfortunately as it was, the most memorable pass was made by Russel Wilson at the end of Superbowl XLIX. That shit still wakes me up in a cold sweat in the middle of the night.
How do you go undrafted after breaking a record like that...?
When’s sports therapy pod coming back? I love it so much and it definitely deserves a second season! BRING IT BACK!!!!!!!
Luck hanged up the cleats too soon. He was the guy, the next generational QB. Dude could've won multiple MvPs and perhaps SBs. But, just not with the Colts lol. If only he wasn't so banged up.
@Peters6221 Yup, I agree with you bud. It's unfortunate that the Colts was only able to get all the pieces together after Luck left. The current squad they got now would be terrifying with Luck under center.
For real, as a Colts fan it was obvious that Luck was an incredible player who was plagued with injuries and I don't blame him for retiring early.
It’s crazy how good some drafts are even when there are weak QBs/other positions
Look no further than 2007 or 2011 (besides Newton)
Well, the QB spot is literally almost impossible to get right when it comes to these drafts. At the end of the day it either comes down to the player and his skills/work effort or the team and the scheme.
I love your videos. I always can’t for for the outro gets me so hype everytime
I miss Andrew Luck 😭😭😭😭
I always assumed he would come back, and they did it to save money …but no he really was retired for good it’s sad he was truly elite
Imagine if this colts team still had Andrew luck
Exactly…screw that quitter.
Every time I think about what happened to Andrew Luck and RG III, I get sad. They were both so fun to watch until injuries derailed their careers.
It's always nice when KTO uploads

As a Colts fan this is why I hate Ryan Grigson so much. He ruined Luck’s career. Only if we had Ballard then
the 2012 QB class will really go down as one of the most memorable in history because it went completely opposite of what anyone could have expected.
The stories tend to be the careers cut short, and the value in later rounds. But this was not some hugely hyped class. It was acknowledged at the time that it was only 1.5 QBs deep.:)
@@AJHart-eg1ys It was pretty deep. I’m seeing Ridder being hyped as a QB for winning 44 games. Moore holds the all time NCAA record at 50 wins and went undrafted in this class

Don't forget that the Panthers ended up with Cam because Luck stayed an extra year in college.
Both luck and griffin were screwed by their franchises. Luck got hit way too much and griffin still took a snap when he was clearly hurt then tore his acl; he was never the same.
I got to see Luck vs UW in Seattle, and it was like watching a man playing against high school kids. seeing him live made me a believer
After Andrew luck laid out that USC defender on the fumble recovery, I had a feeling he’d be special. It’s so sad to see how badly he was banged up. He could’ve been special. He could’ve made it to canton.
I think another thing that contributed to Andrew Luck's early retirement was the Colts not building a good offensive line around him. They had a trash offensive line until they decided to pick Quinton Nelson which lead to him getting hit a lot
As a die hard colts fan I miss luck 😭 he was that dude and grigson/pagano failed him miserably
I feel bad for Osweiler not getting any mention here. It was an injury that brought Manning back into that Broncos team. If anything, the Broncos improved with Brock at the helm. Even if his last start didn't prompt any great quarterback controversy.
