I have a 2010 SS with the L99. If you do get one, first mods I highly recommend are ECU Tune, cold air intake and X-pipe exhaust (mid muffler delete) these 3 mods alone really wake up the car.
@@elkillerx i just had mine tuned and yeah the auto really needed its shift points adjusted. long tubes, x pipe, cold air intake and intake manifold alone are a good start. next is a cam and in the future stall and rear gears

Where did you get the cam? It’s been hard finding TSP stage 3 cams for L99, or did you just use the LS3 ones? And if so, did you had to change the stock AFM lifters? I know you have to disable it with a tune but I’m not sure if you needa get new lifters too.
Did you have to get dynod to clear your check engine light? My boy tuned me up with hptuners and said he can’t clear the codes for my 2015 havent been able to use remote start in like 3 months 😂

isn't a 4000 stall a little much for a motor that only pulls to 6800? Wouldn't a 2500 stall been much better for your low in horsepower and torque? Just wondering I guess it really only depends on if it's a daily driver or a weekend warrior? Regardless it sounds incredible.

Hey bro. Here’s my opinion. The difference between you and me. I got the stage 3 and didn’t need a dod delete because I have the m6 ls3. Now since you have the l99 . That requires a dod delete. I went with stage 3 because I wanted that chop and power. After having it for a while after tune and everything the only downside from mine is that I liked when I would cruise and feather the pedal at low rpm’s before the cam. Now with the cam. I have to keep adding gas to not feel that buck at low rpm or I would just have to cruise on the 2k rpm range. I’m not sure for the l99 though if it’s the same at least that’s with I noticed the difference on my m6.

You motors weak parts will be much stronger and capable of handling 7K-7200 RPM. It’s def worth the minor cost difference to upgrade valve-train and reduce valve floating with much more power in your motor. You will need the DOD delete for the variable valve timing of the L99, which comes in all the autos out there. Will all my bolt-ons, I dynoed 481 RWHP & 448RWTQ! If you have never driven a cammed car at low RPM’s, it will take you a little while to get used to that, but you’re an auto, it’s not like you’ll be feeling it in the clutch and clutch catch point. With an Auto, I believe you will also need a higher stall converter for the lope durations in the cam. Happy BUILDING! Love my 5th gen 2SS

@@anonymousyoutube8941 LS3s will not handle 7,200 on just a cam kit. My Camaro blew up revving to 7,200. You need really good lifters to rev that high. That’s the reason I shift at 6800-6900. Now my vette on the other hand revs to 8k. That’s with the help of $5,000 heads😂
Unfortunately I haven’t been driving since I’ve been diagnosed with leukemia but when I get better I will get some track times and after my chemotherapy I’m going with a 300 shot
