Actually, Em was quiet, and everything was left alone, but then Nick went on the TI podcast talking shit. So Em jumped on Fat Joe's Lord Above and dissed Nick. So Nick came out with 3 of the worst diss tracks ever. Trying to get Em on Wildin Out! He had some guys from Wildin Out diss Em as well. Reactor Crypt breaks them down so well. It's so funny.

The timeline was: Mariah said in an interview that she doesn't know Em or some shit - Em releases "Bagpipes from Baghdad" - Mariah releases "Obsessed" - Em releases "The Warning" - Quiet for a long time - Nick disses Em on T.I.'s podcast - Em gets on "Lord Above" (Fat Joe's joint) - Nick releases 3 disses - Em ignores them cuz they were all trash

Exactly. It’s important to do it in order.
the correct timeline is:
- In late 2001, MC reaches out to Em first because he wants to collaborate with Em. Em also wanted MC to be featured on a new song he was working on (which was ironically“Superman” which is the first song Em threw shot at MC). So they meet and become friends while working on the song and they basically have a brief romantic yet not fully sexual relationship for about 6 months - meaning they don’t actually have sex-sex. the furthest they go is when Em finally gets to have to sex with MC but he ruins it by prematurely ejaculates on MC while they had all of their clothes on because he got little too excited. (Da Brat revealed this on an interview)
- MC finds this super embarrassing and she calls it quits and they end their brief “fling”.
- Em is embarrassed and furious that he was rejected by Mariah so he starts telling his friends about his “relationship “ with Mariah
- the media picks up on this and makes it into a huge sex scandal
- MC who is known to be a very private person denies the claim fully and claims that she has only met Em for few times for a musical collaboration and they were not in a “physical relationship”.
- On the other hand, Em goes wild n out and takes a completely opposite stand telling all new media that the rumors our true and that they dated for about 6 months and had sex.
- In 2002, Em disses MC for the first time on his hit single “Superman” revealing that MC flew over to Em’s place twice to see him (which was true)
- In late 2002, MC claps back on “Clown” claiming that taking her private get to see him twice was nothing special and that they didn’t have a physical relationship (which was partly true depending on how you define physical relationship. they have surely made out/dry humped so they were physical but no actual sex (penetration) was involved.
- In 2006, Em disses MC again on “Jimmy Crack Corn”
- In 2008, Mariah married Nick Cannon
- In 2009, Em once again disses MC on a new track called “Bagpipes from Baghdad”. he disses Nick as well this time around for no reason.
- Nick Cannon releases public statement criticizing Em for being disrespectful to his wife
- Late 2009, Mariah releases “Obsessed” and even dresses up as him and kills him on the music video.
- 2009, Em releases “The Warning” as a clapback revealing that he “hit” MC once and he prematurely ejaculated on her. He doesn’t mention the fact that there was no actual penetration involved.
- 2016 - MC and nick gets a divorce
- 2016 out of nowhere Nick releases diss track to Em

This was the best diss of all time. Only Eminem could have someone singing on their own diss. Mariah shut right up after this came out and her song about Em, Obsessed, she had the video immediately pulled from rotation.

Em’s diss tracks are lethal.
Basically, Em had made several comments about having hooked up with her, she denied it, then he doubled down by name dropping her in multiple songs. So Mariah came out w/the song "Obsessed", where she dresses like a guy that's supposed to be Em in the video. Then Em dropped this, not even mainstream, and Mariah & Nick went silent. It was crickets for years until Nick decided to hop on TI's podcast, long after he split from Mariah, and start running his mouth. When Em didn't respond he put out like 3 absolute jokes he called diss tracks, mostly playing the race card. Em only slightly responded on the Fat Joe feature & Nick wound up apologizing and groveling like an idiot.
Great reaction! MC came out with obsessed 1st; where she dressed up and wore goatee. BAGPIPES FROM BAGHDAD is another Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon diss by Em; and Em says "permanent fixture in my lyrical mixture"; which is the repercussion for anyone he has beef with 😂😂😎👍

The context of this track is so important. Y'all should research the track that caused this, Mariah's Obsessed video, and then the diss that precipitated that, Bagpipes from Baghdad, and then go into the (a decade later) Nick Cannon career suicide with his Invitation trilogy.
The samples he used were from the earlier version of his song Superman that was gonna feature Mariah until she flaked

Em did never say he had a tat on his back. That is sarcasm. He says right after it "I'm obsessed now" That means to things. 1: Em says that Nick is the one who is obsessed with that big tat on his back and not he. 2: It refers to the Mariah Carey Eminem diss "Obsessed."
The whole thing started by Em just mentioning in a radio show of him having had a thing with Carey and it wasn't even like anything anyone would have been invested to until Carey started to vehemently deny it. Like now there is then a problem of why are you This much trying to deny it when you wanted it, it's done and nobody is That invested to follow it more than a week if you just say yes. Now you are calling him a liar. So ofc he said some things I don't exactly remember, few about him not lying and she put out the song and video for the Obsessed. This came very soon after and kinda down low because it's not like worth it, to release like a full-blown marketed thing on her. I was suprised how few even heard about this when it did came out. Then this defininetly did shut her up about denying or even speaking about it (which she could have also done from the get go, just not say anything). Then it was done.
After that Nick have had this rap dream his whole career that everyone sees as a hobby. So at the time when he released the I don't even remember how many disses it was fueled by Suge saying from prison to him that he reminds him of new Pac 😂 Ok nobody else than him conaidered him winning anything by putting that trash out. Still there was the couple lines back from Em in the Fat Joe feat. Then again that was kinda that, I guess even Nick had already realized that it's not winning him anything.
