I saw somewhere, fabi said b3 was a psychological move to make hikaru castle. I wish i could know his tought process there. After watching hikaru's analysis, this is what I understand is in his POV: Even though he had the idea of Kd7, Kc8; after b3 he thought what if queen castle instead. He thought the only problem for castling is Qh6 and he find its solution as Qf6. He can even trap white queen in that line. He completly missed f3 move. Thats why he castled.

2:00 early-delayed D4? What an awesome philosophical expression 👍 now I can tell my boss that I am never late for work, sometimes i simply come earlier but delayed by 10 minutes, or we can say that the train arrived earlier than scheduled by it is delayed by half an hour.

you must not be a chess fan, because Hikaru had a hopeless start to leg 3 of the grand prix and came back to win the group, knocking Aronian out of contention for candidates. so chill bro and enjoy the masters at work. you and i are the little people 😉

I would like to comment on chess engine evaluation. Even though at some points in this game The Engine was saying +3.6, it's very hard to convert the position into a win. When The Engine was saying +3.6 for white, I let it show me how it would do it. It was a grueling 100+ moves with The Engine perfect play for White and Black. Some positions are pretty straightforward, like in the next 2-3 moves you lose a queen or a rook but these kinds of positions in this game are a different story. In my humble opinion, of course.

Nice Game by Fabiano he’s such a Great player I find it semi surprising he didn’t spot the knight move you pointed out that would’ve ended the game sooner definitely don’t want to keep giving your opponent chances to stay in the game and make a comeback Great Game overall though that was a surprising castling move by Hikaru but I guess when you are a confident player like he is he’s able to make daring moves
