Both of these capabilities are nice, but the failover is way too sensitive and seems to use latency as the determinant for the network being out of service. The only way I’ve been able to get my UDM SE to behave is to physically disconnect the secondary WAN connection. My primary is a wireless LTE connection as I am very rural and this has higher latency but more bandwidth than the terrible DSL service I get here (backup connection). Unfortunately LTE is subject to some packet loss and variable latency/jitter and so the UDM SE was constantly failing over and as there is no control over how tolerant the failover is, it made the feature useless for me at the moment

In traffic management, the rules section allows you to block, allow or speed limit types of traffic and this can be picked on app or app group which is great. However when moving over to the Routes section, those apps and app groups are not available. The only way to add a route is by domain name, IP address or region.
Am I missing something obvious here?

@@UbiquitiInc It really isn't. 2.5 is at least 3 releases away, even EA isn't 2.5. So the soonest seems to be a least a few weeks, but more likely months or longer.... Very misleading, esp for someone moving to/living in a rural area looking for a load balancing solution that would work today

This won’t increase your download speed. A single 1GB file won’t download any faster, but if you’re downloading two 1GB files it will be twice the speed.
Personally I wouldn’t bother with this, instead I would use MPTCP bonding to combine your two WAN connections into a single connection. Say if you had two 80Mbps connections you could create a single 160mbps connection. If you visit Speedtest it would say 160. Very useful for places where you can get maybe 80 down but only 20 up. You could essentially have a 160/40 connection.
Unfortunately Ubiquity isn’t doing this, and I doubt they’ll do it in the future as it requires a server on the other end to stitch the packets back together

So you give this function to the SE and router first but not the largest Pro installation base? We are the group who has been waiting the longest for something that should’ve been there long ago. Explain this BS treatment of your loyal users Unifi Expert.

Each console is different and we are taking necessary steps to refine this important feature before rolling out to our largest installation base. Thanks for your patience and understanding as we are excited to roll this out as soon as possible.

@@UbiquitiInc How long has the UDM Pro been out? How long has the SE and Router been out? How long have you been working on this function for the UDM Pro? Are the UDM Pro and SE virtually the same components and architecture aside from PoE and built-in storage?

Mostly all this works great. But I have tested your cloud controller after one of these videos and it was a shitshow hour cloud controller can’t handle anything with real business needs. We had like 75 devices and it crashed.
So when you say “expert corner” that’s using that term loosely.
