Cool video but, For the $10 this movement costs and the time, I would just swap movements and have it all done in 15/20 minutes and the customer would be thrilled when they had a fully serviced watch in under an hour with a warrenty on the movement. It would be a good learning experience to do this and service your own movement.
No the movement costs around 1$ on alibaba.. not 10$ :D i replace this kind of movements in 5minutes. Sometimes the customer bring in a random watch with this y121 movement for a battery replacemnt. and if it not works due to the movement, i just change it for free, to charge the customer the battery replacement anyway!
It's important to learn how to fix things and maintain things. Maybe these movements will be available brand new for a while, but not all of them will be available brand new forever.

Even though u can buy a new movement for about USD3, as a hobbyist, it's fun to be able to learn to repair a spoilt movement. But sometimes, it can't be repaired if the tiny plastic pivots of the gears are spoilt.
