Your hair looks so natural as its current color that it makes your actual natural color look unnatural. (I’m sure there was an easier way to say that but I am le tired 😫)
Hehehe thank you love!! I think it suits me much better than the bleach blonde 😂
Cathy Coleman what’s her natural hair color?
I’m the same way, natural blonde and dye my hair red.
@@wormonastring1044 Dirty Blonde
@@kdhbookworm1 same. Apparently old blonde me is unrecognizable to people that have only known me as a redhead. And people are surprised when I tell them my hair is dyed (well, henna-ed).
Aaah I wish I could see some of your films 😭 pretty sure they're awesomesauce
There are some up on my Vimeo! (vimeo.com/rlmckenna ) They're pretty rough and a few years old though, I can barely watch them now hahaha
Yaas gonna check them out! I know the feeling lol, I was trying to put my new showreel together today deleting the old stuff I don't like, realized almost nothing's left of it 😂
Oh hi meme mom
Hey I'm subscribed to you
My queen watches my other queen!!!!
You kinda went from like a Marilyn Monroe to a Peggy Carter in terms of vintage. But I really love your style! It’s adorable and classic ❤️
I thought the same thing. I love Peggy ♡
Right peggy is just so beautiful (and obviously rachel as well)
Sorry if im acting like i have 2 brain cells, but isnt Peggy Carter from MadMen..?
@@envoxity9544 no she is from the MCU. Her first appearance is Captain america: the First Avenger
@@elainewalter8685 i dont really watch avengers/marvel stuff, but there is a peggy on MadMen so i was asking if you said it about her... (because idk peggys last name in MadMen like a doofus)
Look, I’m just saying that it’s been scientifically proven that if you were emo you’ll be vintage at some point of your life. Mark my words
Jess oh my god. Why is this true. That’s what happened to me and all my friends?!?
Dude, it already happened! 😁
sounds good to me
I was emo a couple years ago and I want to dress vintage im-
im literally going through an emo to vintage phase rn
Would you do a house tour? Your place in the background always looks so cool. Just saying..
It's definitely in the future! I kinda wanna wait til we can get rid of the remaining ugly carpet first hehe 😂
I like that you started with a more rockabilly-esque style, as I think most vintage girls do, and transitioned into a more refined style. Not that I don't love rockabilly (I even wear it occasionally), but sometimes its just too much at once. And it tends to dominate the vintage style world. So your style is like a breath of fresh autumn air.. it was really cool to see your evolution! Thanks so much for putting the time into making this video!
Oh p.s. , your mean girls story reminds me of this past halloween. I woke up Tuesday morning and put on my entire (almost) historically accurate 18th century outlander inspired costume. And then i realized that i should probably call work to make sure it was okay instead of just showing up completely decked out. Thank god it was, cause it took me like an hour to get everything on. I ended up actually winning our little costume contest too which was super nice!
Clarissa Lee That's so true! I think it's definitely a good style to start the transition, since you can wear modern leather jackets and other items. OMG that sounds amazing!
Would love to see your costume!
ikr I love rockabilly style too but it can feel a bit costumer at times when it’s too over the top for me personally
*costumey
You look so gorgeous with red hair. It really suits you.
Thank you so much!!
Hiiii my loves! So this took approximately 5 trillion years to edit, and I gotta say I'm real sick of my face at this point, hahaha. Hope it's entertaining for you guys and that you can get a glimpse into my pre-vintage life! I love you all! (ALSO stay tuned for the outtakes and for Frodo's Style Evolution 😂)
this is really inspiring as a vintage enthusiast! As an aspiring film maker I'd love if you made a video on your film journey and tips for filmmakers and the film industry!
The Pinup Companion I like the outtakes and Frodo's cuteness! Always looking forward to your vids and Frodo doing his thing. 😉
Omg his puppy pictures look sooo much like my puppy's! They have the same type of ears and facial structure I think :D
The Pinup Companion The end credits are the best
You missed the hair part.....going from blond (which I think inspired all the 50's bombshell stuff) to henna red (which goes better with your earthy tones now). Why, why the red? :)
I'm 15, and started dressing vintage about a year ago. I realised that a lot of the clothes i loved in my closet the most, and the clothes I was gravitating towards were very 40's/50's. So my wardrobe built up pretty fast. (I also have three thrift stores within a half mile radius around me, so that helped, lol) Then, I just started learning some stuff about the hair and the makeup, and got into it so fast! My mom also home schooled me and my brother, and she was very inspired by Victorian and Edwardian teaching methods. We learned a lot about history, and did a lot of nature based learning. She's been pretty in to vintage stuff throughout her life too so that contributed. I also lived in a 100 year old cabin in the middle of the woods. I think it was kind of in the cards for me to become a vintage geek. I want to be an antiques analyst historian when I'm older.
I'm fifteen as well! I adore vintage aesthetic, though I am finding it difficult to build my wardrobe (not many good thrift stores), so I think I may need to just see it all! I am so glad there are other teens who have similar interests!
Kit Clark I have some videos with tips for dressing vintage and finding the right clothes, if you want some help. It’s always intimidating to start, but vintage style is so much fun!
@@katiedribnokhod6767 this is super random, but you have such a classically pretty look to you!
@@MirandaMilner I've actually been binging most of your videos! Now wishing I knew you in person. Also I am super jealous of your lovely shops near to you! I am so glad I found you, and I shared you with my sixteen year old friend who also wants to lean towards vintage fashion! Thank you for being an inspiring person, you are bold and confident, yet humble. It's lovely 😁
Kit Clark thank you SO much! You made my day 💕I recognize you now from my comments.
Red hair looks so much better on you than blonde ever did
Thank you love! I think it suits me much better hehe
that’s a little bit of a harsh way to say it...
omg???
Better as a redhead and as a brunette too.
But weirdly your current style makes you look so much younger. Anyone who didnt know u well would think youre senior HS or early college 😂
In my opinion If you don't experiment and dabble into different styles. If you don't look back at old pictures and look at your old phases and cringe. Then have you really lived? If you can't do that then maybe you've been playing it too safe.
Gisselle Penaloza Hahaha so true!
I think I haven't lived then D: I wonder if 37 years old is too late 3': I love vintage, but I've never dared :/
@@cutehollygolightly No age is too late to follow your passions. You know what is late? My comment. I hope you are in a better place right now :)
@@mimmikibilly Yes, I am!!! I finally dyed my hair! I made myself a circle skirt too. And I also took some pictures with victory rolls! I wear red lipstick on a daily basis. I think I'm doing good so far! You are right. Thanks so much!!!
@@cutehollygolightly Yay! I'm happy for you! 😊😊😊 Hugs
Im gonna call your “bohemian “ phase the “Luna” phase. You remind me so much her in those photographs. Adorable & sweet! Shes one of my favorites!
Hahaha oh my gosh I had such Luna hair you're right 😂
It's funny to think how todays style will one day be "vintage" - I mean I guess, maybe we don't qualify??
Hahaha it is so weird. I guess we'll be 'antique' style 😂
The Pinup Companion P.S. You should own your emo + swift phases girl! I think you still totally rocked them :)
Well some people are already considering 90's style vintage (which I think it way too soon honestly ) and recreating it so presumably so.
@@fragmentsofanusha i was searching vintage is instagram and the stuff that appeared were things in 2000s. Like sneakers, jeans etc and i was like wtf
Vintage is only 20 ish years I googled lol so if its older then 20 it can be called vintage.
I am LIVING for these old pictures 😂 truly, the thing that unites us all and places us all on an equal playing field are all photos from the 2000's
Jasmyn Vincent Hahahaha truer words have never been spoken 😂😂😂
2010: Rachel has a T Swift phase
2020: T Swift has a Rachel Maksy phase.
You are absolutely photogenic. oh yes, and aesthetic! :D
Denise Marie Heehee thank you sweetness 😭❤️
Seeing how your early vintage style changed to what it is now was inspiring to watch. I'm slowly switching to a more vintage look myself and it's taking forever...but I won't lose hope now. Thanks for your honest videos!!
Priscilla Canty Yay! You got this! ❤️
Don’t mind me 3 years later commenting...it’s Covid and I’m binge watching ur channel ( well to be honest I have been since finding your channel 4-5 mos ago) 😂...I love that u went from blonde to that gorgeous red...I’m a decade (or so prolly) older than u and I also dyed my platinum blonde hair Spider-Man chick deep red...Rita Hayworth?...halfway thru high school and a couple years after before giving up on the roots and ends that would turn grayish...it’s dedication to stay red! So bravo!!! I loved watching ur style evolution. I’ve always also loved period piece movies and grew up watching and listening to “oldies”. The styles seem so glamorous compared to today. Love your videos! Crossing fingers u hit 1 million subscribers soon! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for putting in gratuitous amounts of photos! Normally I feel like when people do these types of videos, they give you one or two and you're just like . . . "BUT I WANT MORE. MOAR FOTO!!" So thank you. And, while I'm not by any means completely vintage, but when I first started I also did 50's. I think it's the most easily accessible style to recreate, and the most widely accepted and recognized. I too gravitate mostly to the 40's. Dapper Day is this coming weekend and I'm doing a little 40's number. Can't wait for more videos!
Melissa Murray Heehee I combed my myspace photos 😂 That's totally true about the 50's!
One of the most frustrating things about finally realizing your style/aesthetic is that suddenly you want ALL these things at once and forget that things take time, especially to be refined. I fell in love with vintage style and I constantly have to remind myself to be patient and I'm not going to have everything I want, or change my entire wardrobe in a day (specially that I dont exactly have the means to do it) so I love this video ❤
This comment is three years old and I'm feeling this so much. How have you fared so far?
@@azrani2023 to be honest? I've come to realize that I can enjoy multiple things at once. I didn't like sticking to one thing and see other things as "against my character". I still occasionally dress vintage, I enjoy it a lot but I also love a lot of other things now ❤️
@@alinad.8976 that sounds healthy and mature to me. As Rachel would say: You do you, just dress in a way that feels fun to you (and, also important to me, comfy). all the best to you :)
What I took away from this video was pretty much "wow... she's a Pokémon, and we got to see the whole evolution, with a cute baby form first, and now she's FABULOUS"!
Also many thanks for letting us see Frodo's evolution too!
Really enjoyed hearing your fashion story. Would love to hear more about your college films and what kind of work you do now.
The earth tones are great on you with your hair and skin color. Interesting to see your transition from one style to another.
This made me feel better about my high school/college fashion choices.
Hahaha I feel ya 😂😂
Would you ever want to do short films on your channel? I know you are super duper busy with work and well general life, but it sounds freaking cool. Also congrats 🎉 on the 50k, you amazing human!
I wish!!! If I ever go full-time with RUclips I'd looove to do that!
Rachel Maksy you’ve gone full-time youtube:)

*Starts freaking out in Gallifreyan* Oh my goodness!!! I love your guys' cosplay! You look so much like the the 10th Doctor and Rose!!!!
Coming into vintage dressing only recently, itis really nice to hear someone's timeline of how they came into it. When you are starting at the bottom of the mountain it feels like the vintage dressers one admires at the top can be so far away. This video makes that mountain less steep. Thank you!
It's cool to see how someone's clothes can transform through the years. I definitely think you have nailed your wardrobe today!
Isn't it?! Aww thank you my love!
I bought a vintage dress today at a thrift store (im not sure its an original dress but i think it is???) and i absolutely love the aesthetic and would love to live it all the time but i am SO UNLADYLIKE! My current style has been described as "homeless chic" and i wholeheartedly agree, i speak like it as well, and i dont wear makeup... its so funny to think i could ever be as confident and classy as you! I wish i could :) but when you do your hair with a front roll for the first time and your grandma laughs at you, you dont forget it lol
Wow. I forgot you have blonde hair naturally, so that was super shocking. The fact that you had an emo kid phase is hilarious bc you look so comfortable in your style now. Also, dumb question, but what is your opinion on 40s style undergarments-not the bullet bras though they look super pointy and strange, but like the open bottomed girdles and the full slips?
It's so weird to see her blonde. She seems so natural with her current hair color. Byt euther way she's beautiful.
Hahaha yup! I love the look of girdles and slips! I have a few full slips actually, wearing one in this video! I get a bit too lazy for shapewear sometimes, especially since I'm super slouchy at work and sometimes shapewear can be really uncomfortable 😂
The Pinup Companion What brands do you like for girdles? I can't stand the look of the underwear kind (my brain goes adult diapers and I cannot) but the open bottomed Rago shapewear looks super nice.
I don't actually have any girdles, more-so spanx and other things like that. @curvecreation on Instagram has a lot of really beautiful lingerie/shapewear though I bet she could shed some light on it!
The Pinup Companion That explains it? 40s girdles were about comfort (ie just smoothing) bc the women who wore had stuff to do. They weren't supposed to be super restrictive.
Blonde baby Rachel so cute 😍 also definitely went through the almost emo phase but I definitely listened to too much panic at the disco, mcr and fall out boy 😂
YES SAME. I still turn on Three Cheers sometimes just to be amazed that I still remember all the words 😂
The Pinup Companion Panic is still my favorite band and my boyfriend likes to joke "I remember being in junior high having terrible tastes in music" like ok rude
I know so many people that say that, especially to me since Panic! is my favorite band still and I have just have to look at them because Panic! at the Disco is not terrible music; like they have good songs and Brendon, and the others when they were still in the band, is super talented. Plus I've never really thought that the music you listen to has to correlate to the way you dress or anything.
Qiron maiden
You can never listen to panic at the disco too much!
You look amazing as both a red head and a blonde!! Love this video!!
Thank you so much sweetness!
When I wanted to start dressing vintage I thought the 50s rockabilly was the only way to do it until I saw your Instagram and your outfits were the perfect aesthetic I was looking for.
Thank you for your videos I love them so much!!!!!!!
Aww yay! Yep there are SO many different ways to have the style!
You are so sweet and classy and beautiful and I wish I had the patience to look like you
Aww you're too sweet!!
YOU WERE MADE FOR VINTAGE!!!! You have that absolutely beautiful timeless look that I so wish I had!! Lol. Thanks for sharing darling 🤍
i haven't watched this yet but i'm already SCREAMING
i just finished and i'm still SCREAMING.
More Madeline 😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️
The most surprising thing is the platinum blonde hair! That had me shook! You look gorgeous either way, and as someone who's trying vintage style now, I do appreciate your advice on how to start! x
You looked so different in blonde! I had troubles with recognizing you. It was so nice to see your evelution, especially in this vintage umbrella, as you said. Thank you for the video!
Aww thank YOU! 😊
Loved this video. Wild transition from fashion style and from blonde to red hair. Just WOW!
I always swoon for vintage clothing and once I said to my boyfriend that I wished I could dress like that.., I was implying I wished everyone still dressed like that but he just said “why don’t you?” And I realised I could 😐 you are really helping inspire me so thank you 🙏🏼🥰
Your courage and unabashed joy for dressing vintage has certainly inspired many people to step (leap/cartwheel/skydive) out of their comfort zones. You're a mini icon!
Awww hehe thank you so much my lovelyyy lady!
I honestly feel like I wanna pull a “what Not Wear” type thing and just get rid of everything. (Keep the 1% of “vintage” looking clothes I have) and just start over. Now all I need is for someone to give me the money to do that. Hmm... bday present? Hanukkah? Christmas? Something? 😅😬😂
Hahaha right?!
Sell the clothes you have! Then put all the money towards some vintage pieces :) the good thing about vintage is that it's a lot of mix and match with a few staple pieces. So you don't need to buy loads to start out :)
Christmas is coming up, you can ask your older relatives for their old clothes they don't wear anymore, or vintage clothing, or just money, as present. :) Good luck finding more clothes you love for yourself. It can be expensive but you can consider secondhand clothes shops, they hide a lot of pretty ones!
Now you have 420,000 subscribers. Congragts. Such a big community already 🌈🎉🎉
I love this!! I just barely skimmed by a scene kid phase in junior high (happens to the best of us) 😂💕
Hahaha thank you beauty!!
Love seeing style evolutions! It's amazing how much like "yourself" you suddenly looked when you really started dressing vintage. A lesson in follow your heart for sure!
Heehee yes! Thank you love!
That Lizzie Mcguire reference though
MeganW17938 Hehehe ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for letting those of us just getting into vintage fashion that it can take years to accumulate a good wardrobe (especially if you don't want to populate it exclusively with expensive reproduction pieces).
I just started getting into vintage style fashion this last year, and I have been frustrated at how impossible it feels to find certain items (a waistcoat vest, a decent cardigan, any vintage style dress, t-strap shoes, ect), and this makes me feel better.
I went through a goth phase in college, transitioning to a kind of bohemian/hippie phase, and then went for a French European chic mode when I started incorporating a few vintage pieces in my wardrobe.
You are a huge inspiration for what I look for. I love your aesthetic (3 points!!!) Lol
YEESS vests are so hard to find!! It's definitely a journey! Thank you my love!
I didn't think Frodo could get any more adorable then I saw baby Frodo :D
RIGHT? That bowtie photo was the one on his adoption page and I wish we had seen him that tiny!
I love these sorts of videos. I love to see how people got to their current look.
Me too!!
Rachel: I've changed and I will show you how and you can do it too, just evolve into what you feel you should be
Also Rachel: you rock, don't ever change
Loved this journey through the years! I'm so thankful that one of my first shorts was directed by you! 'Daniel' remains an absolute favorite and I remember being surprised how amazing *I* looked, being nervous and fairly new to it all! You created an atmosphere that was fantastic (in every sense of the word). You were well on your way to vintaging it up and I was impressed with this sort of fearlessness to not conform (and also look so darn pretty!:)
This is so inspiring! Just made my day 😀😀😀
Thats So Ari Hehehe❤️❤️❤️
Thats So Ari Yay! I watch your channel too Ari!
Alycia W Vintage minds think alike! Haha 😁😁
I'm watching your videos in whatever order youtube AutoPlays them. My how your house has evolved in 3 short years! Also love the bloopers you do in your videos they're an icing on top of your already funny lovely videos.
the style i had at the biggining of highschool was homeless style but now that im older and becuase of you i have found my style
Purple Wolf 101 Aww you're the sweetest 😭❤️
Oh, I love this. It's almost my exact journey- I started as a goth kid in high school, gravitated towards Victorian era things, and then got lost in Forever 21 boholand the first few years of college. By senior year, 2011, I was tromping around Northeastern's campus in 50s clothes, looking way too costumey, and now I've settled into a daily late 30s-40s fashion. It's really cool listening to you tell your story, and knowing I wasn't alone in some of those fashion blunders, and wonders!
Hahaha omg yes! So similar! 😊😊
Everybody had an emo fase lol
Frodo: *even mah momma* ^_^
Ambir91 Heehehee❤️❤️❤️
I didn't have one... But I've had an anime one which is even worse.
And I literally mean trying to copy that weird clothes and hair from mid 2000s anime
We have the same phase but I started dressing vintage when I was 15(I started loving Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn back in junior high) and people called me grandma and it made me feel bad like they were making fun of me and so decided to stop doing it. Now as a 20 years old college student and studying in an Adventist University pushed me to go back. Yes I am slowly “transitioning” back to vintage style again. I am living in the Philippines and people tend to judge you when you aren’t into what is trendy. I don’t like that part but I wanna be myself more. Thank you, Rachel! For being my another inspo on this journey. 💕
I think this is inspiring and makes me wanna be myself too, Rachel! Also *51k* already?! WOW that was fast.
I can't wait to see Frodo's evolution too 😂😂😂❤❤
Ariel Heehee thank you my love!!! ❤️
It's amazing to hear you say "Here we are - 50 000 subscribers". Two and a half years later you're almost at 400 000 and growing. You rock.
Would love a vid on how you decided to go red!!
I love that you delve into your film making days! You madame, are a mixed bag of surprises. A quadruple threat, if you will.
when I was little I only wear pink dresses. When I turned 10 started wearing t shirts jeans more colors. when I turned 13 Started wearing dresses and skirts must of the time. 3 years later I started wearing authentic vintage 1920's style. Last Year I Wearing 1940's as well as authentic 1920's style. This year I started wearing authentic 1930's style as well as 1940's and1920's.
I would love to watch your films!!! I still watch and rewatch your videos!! You are extremely talented.
I'm actually starting my transition from bright 50s to muted 40s style, which is how I found out about you!
Aww no way!!!
I don't really wear vintage on a daily basis even if I kinda started popping vintage items into my wardrobe but it is really encouraging to see that kind of evolution. I started to gravitate toward vintage clothing about 5 years ago when I started listening to Imelda May, maybe you've heard of her, who dressed in this kind of fifties pinup style which fascinated me... but it is only this year that I started gaining confidence to wear more vintage, fourties once in a while. And I can say that it is doubtlessy thanks to you and your videos so thank youuuuu !! I love you so much !
(I also may have left some english mistakes but I'm French and studying English in university, and it's late so I'm sorry if I left any mistakes)
Awww that's so sweet!!! I'm glad you're following what makes you happy!!
Could you made a video on undergarments when dressing vintage? I’ve been trying to find bras and stockings that look vintage or are vintage reproduction and it’s kind of difficult sometimes.
“You rock, don’t ever change.” Lol Frodo is the cutest!
Hehehe ❤️❤️
Omg and here I thought you were always a redhead! O.O Honestly though, that red looks great on you, the colour looks very natural! :)
I’ve just run across your channel and am loving it! I think my favorite moment (an Easter egg maybe?) of this vid is you talking about wearing a “Ra-mons” tee and not even listening to them (clearly, haha!)!
This is literally my style evolution summed up. Except I'm not out of high school yet.
Vintage Psycho 😂❤️❤️❤️
man, i wish i was a simple person and only loved one style but i love 3 and it makes starting my vintage wardrobe the hardest and longest process.
But you must have so many options!! I know what you mean, I'm starting to collect some 70's pieces VERY slowly 😂😂
This was fun to watch although I know it's not always as fun to look back at your old self :D I cringe so hard when I think of my teenage years...
Hahahaha there was a LOT of cringin' going on 😂😂
OMG You being blond freaked me out!!! I love the Dresses like the Gray one you're wearing. My mother and grandmother wore them. I'm always looking for them because I don't sew.
You and Marilyn Monroe are honestly my style icon lmao
Levi Ackerman Heehee❤️❤️❤️
I'm so glad I watched this! I can't say it enough, I love your style so much. I may not dress vintage but everyone who truly knows me knows how much I love vintage and the era that you love as well. I always tell my husband that I wish I was born in that time!
Congrats on 50K, you deserve it. You rock!
Aww thank you so much lovely!
i literally dived into vintage from the beginning. were talking 8th grade.
Yes, I love that you did Rose Tyler and the Doctor for Halloween. I've dressed up as her before, too!
WOW, blonde hair really suited you. Surprised you didn’t keep it!!! Looked so lovely, and natural. Perhaps revisit it sometime. Glad you found your style though, vintage is so fun and kitchy. :)
oh my gosh your red hair looks SO natural I actually didn't realize for the longest time that it's not your natural color!
YOU SAID YOU WENT TO MASS ART AND MY WHOLE BODY SIEZED AND I YELPED HECK I GO THERE IM A FRESHMAN AHHHHH
Hahaha YEES!! What major are you gonna pick?!
You made an adorable Marilyn Monroe! I like all of your Marily Monroe like looks! And the Simon & Garfunkle clips made me laugh out loud. And the “listen to your heart” one too. And the Back to the Future one too!” Good fun. Thanks for taking us on your fashion journey.
My evolution was so much worse , dont worry😅😅😅
but its those little phases and transitions that shape us into who we are today😊
Rosalie Angevine 😂😂❤️❤️
I love your natural hair color!!!!! You look beautiful in both blonde hair and red hair 💕
Rachel love do you still use the styling foam by motions on your hair !???
Jessica Pantoja I do! 😊😊
The Pinup Companion does it help with frizz !? I noticed your hair always looks so good I was going to try it 💃🏻
Yes it definitely does!
Oh my, you are goals.
Seriously, if only I had anything that could be described as 'style'
I went through girly to Emo to vintage in a year... And that was a week ago
Been wanting to dress vintage for a long time. LOVE the fashion of the 30s, 40s, and 50s
One could still do 50s without being super colorful. I have to say, I much prefer your current style. My only issue with vintage repro fashion usually is the colors...are so bright...I mean alot of the time its the same fabric they would make a modern dress in which makes zero sense. But thats a long story... (oh and I dislike Rockabilly...IDK why it just irks my personal aesthetic police nature lol) Your hair also looks so much better at its current colorwhich is weird bc...I love blonde. The earthy colorscheme works best in vintage regardless of 20s,30s,40s or 50s imo bc technicolor and that kinda faded polaroid look if that makes sense... I hate seeing bright emerald greens and cobalt blue. Mustard is my fav color ATM though so what do I know. Bright colors will always look more costume-ish imo whereas he earthy tones you wear, seem....wearable and you don't stand out like a sore thumb in a bad way...
Caligula Longhbottom I agree. I like the autumnal colors - looks better than the bright colors in my opinion.
Hahaha so true! I think bright colors work really well on some people but I'm much more of a hobbit-color gal 😂😂
This was so fun to see! I've seen a couple style evolution and people quite often seem to have a punk or scene - ish background in common?! And I think it's so important to remember that actually incorporating a new style takes time! x
Hahaha it is pretty common, especially in the vintage community which is really interesting lolol.
If you love Marylin Monroe and you're into female impersonators you should definitely check out Jimmy James, best Monroe impersonator I've EVER come across, you can find his videos from the 80's/90's on youtube:)
Omg YES Jimmy was BY FAR the best. I show him to everyone!
I found out some terrible new and I have been sad all day, but binge watching your videos help so much with my mood ❤️
Awwwww I hope you feel better lovely!!
Its actually such a nice journey ! Teenage years are always awkward. Everybody is looking for their true self while trying so bad to conform (or trying to hard not to lol) your baby self was cute, love the "Marilyn" phase but your style definitely blossomed !
I'm not even a vintage enthusiast but you and your videos are so cute that I'm hooked. Congrats on reaching your milestone!
guadaniklison Heehee aww thank you!!
This was a great video! Also the Back to The Future part made me laugh 😂 those are some of my favorite movies
I LITERALLY laugh out loud. You were adorable as you still are. Love that Frodo. ❤️
Heehee aww yay!!
You are so well put together and personable! Not to mention your background tunes are always amazing! You brighten my day darling!
Almost completely unrelated but... the yard work, YES!!! So annoying!! Lucky there is a really nice yard work service in this neighborhood and all of us in our little cluster use them, so there is literally one day a month of yard work and that's it. They come one day, do our little section in about an hour, tops, and then peace and quiet. It is such a blessing to have them and not have to worry about heavy equipment and gasoline, etc. We are so grateful for them and that they are affordable! Please, yard work people, realize how much torture you're putting your neighbors through when you use a leaf-blower. There are a lot of people out there with sensitivities to where it actually causes pain. Please use them sparingly! Anywho... lovely video; I love the pics of Vintage Rachel, so adorable!
GURL, this is relatable! Oh man, that emo stage we all fell into ...! And you know what though - you rocked every darn look.Love when you started getting into rockabilly and the love for vintage just took off from there. Without even knowing you personally, it's easy to see that you have now really found your vibe now and you seem to feel comfortable in your own skin, it's wonderful to see and as I say I love how relatable you and all your videos always are :) xx
I feel really shy when I wear dresses or vintage, but it's nice to see you ease into it until it became your normal. Maybe that's what you gotta do as going out completely vintage one day is very intimidating. :)
