Would love to hear of any you use that you love. I’ve not found any yet. My latest realisation is that any all in one platform probably won’t work. Instead using the best checkout platform, plus a membership platform. Not ideal because it means more cost and setup but at least you get the functionality you need
Bro can you please give options on what software is good as well? I'm making a fitness program and videos are important for the process... If you are moving where would you be moving to? I'm researching software at the moment.
Spoken with a number of friends about this recently. None of us have good recommendations, but we are all leaning towards wordpress (likely learndash). Requires a bit more technical skills to setup but much more customizable for long term growth. This isn't a recommendation, just what we are leaning towards right now. As soon as i have a recommendation i will create a video.
Would it possible to get the transcript for this video. I have been trying to convince my boss this company in not worth it. I have been dealing with so many problems with them, everything you mentioned and all I get is nothing by tech lip service and a POS Bot.
I feel for you. RUclips gives you the transcript. In the description I think. My blog post is more detailed mitchasser.com/thinkific-review-do-not-use-it/
Hi mitch, that was really well presented, and those are some legitimate concerns that I definitely would have overlooked and regretted, had I not seen this video. thanks for taking the time to do it.. I'm interested in how this has progressed 3 months later... have you switched platforms.. have they made any updates... I'm currently considering platforms for my own project..
I’ve had a lot of people who are using it send me messages to say thanks for speaking up. Turns out I’m not the only one who has these concerns. We recently solved a couple of issues by integrating Samcart. Makes it more expensive for us each month but we’ve increased our AOV by 40%. As for thinkific they’ve not solved any of the issues, instead they are wasting their time to build an email marketing feature which I’m sure will also be barely usable. It’s a shame.
I'm in the process of setting up my first online class with thinkific. It's not too late to change. However, my scenario is I'll never have affiliates or subscription. My students will be mostly older people who are not internet savvy and most likely not that many. I have a shopify website and this will integrate. I've studied the other software platforms and for the money and what I want to achieve in still leaning toward thinkific. In my mind I don't picture more than 5 classes in the future. I make my money selling the equipment they must buy to utilize my classes. Your thoughts?
Could be ok. And if you are using shopify for payments it solves some of the problems. The thinkific video player is outdated though. So you’ll have to manually upload srt files
Still trying to figure this out. But it’s likely piecing together the best different tools that do one thing well. No all in one platform ever does it well. Eg. Best checkout software, best course/community platform, best website builder, etc
Your view is from an online business and completely valid for similar setups. Typically I see this platform adopted with companies or certificate program training. Low volume, high margin or free and not primary source of income.
All these online course platforms are the same sh1t. Best thing to do if you're not tech savvy is to hire someone who can build a website for you (if you don't have one already) and build your online courses there together with all the marketing solutions just like I do. People who promote these platforms claim they earned hundreds of thousands of $$$ selling courses but they don't tell you how many years did that take neither give you any proof, most likely they are just affiliates of the platform and make their money with their affiliate links. You'll just be hemorrhaging money paying monthly to these platforms, it's not like they even promote you.
@@Nettietwixt They are built for people who don't know or don't have the time to build their own websites and sell there. In either case, promoting and doing social media to reach your preferred clients will always need to be done by you, so it's not just building a website/course and it's done. This is the misconception most people have and those who promote these online course platforms don't talk about. They basically say "Create your course here and get rich, oh and btw use my affiliate link".
@@Nettietwixt I can totally relate to the struggle of finding the right platform! I went through the same stage, trying out several popular platforms, thinking that their high price meant more features, but they just didn’t fit my needs. Recently, someone recommended EzyCourse to me, and after giving their free trial a shot, I’m genuinely impressed. A week in, it feels so much better than the others I tried before. They even offer free migration and a free white-label app, which is a huge bonus! Definitely worth checking out if you’re still searching for the right platform.
🆕 UPDATE: I've updated the blog post to include more details and a few solutions we went with: mitchasser.com/thinkific-review-do-not-use-it/
I been trying to cancel my subscription from a Facebook group that I join. It’s like it’s impossible. Can you please help me?
Thank you. I was about to choose Thinkific, but I guess I'm back to square one in terms of choosing platform. :i

Is there any limit for videos in free plans,eg how many video i can upload and what is the maximum length is allowed in free plan.
Free plans always have limits. Not sure what they are. It should all be on the pricing page

I was also on thinkific, recently switched to EzyCourse and got full free migration. You may try this if you want change your platform.
So, which online training platforms are better?

I move to Kajabi . After use 6 yers thinkfific with horrible support and straggle((((
@@somethingelse1987 I like so far. I am not selling courses yet
@@MitchAsser What did you switch from when you came over to Thinkific?

Yeh makes sense. They should align their marketing and features with this direction.
This is the 4th video I've watched and was honestly leaning towards this platform. I appreciate your review and honesty. What do you recommend?

Yep. The only reason they do well is because they pay high recurring affiliate commissions
We're having such a struggle finding a platform. They all so limited and like they're not built by someone who actually sells courses.

Yeh! I have worse updates since. Not sure if I'm going to release them or not yet.
I need to make a decision soon, for an online course in the construction industry. What‘s your opinion of LearnWorlds?
