Definitely I am a huge racing fan and this seems to be a must have
I recommend you buy the game Ala Mobile GP, it’s a formula 1 (unofficial ofc) racing game and is much more realistic than this game. You also have fully customizable setups like f1 23.

How does this work with the Pro Controller, they are only full throttle or not.
How does this game play in handheld mode? Does it require a gamepad to play?

It's something in-between. It is not Virtua Racing, but it's not a realistic, sim racing game either.
