Thanks for the content. I'm trying to find info on how to do pick-ups and drop-offs at the airport without having to be physically present. Or even if you have to be physically present, i'm wondering how that works in airports, because that is where i want to mainly have the renting location. I am new to this and haven't started, but am creating a plan to start soon. Trying to figure out the best strategies. Appreciate your channel. Thanks!
Hey, Ralph I been watching your videos. I really like your style, how you break everything down smooth and precise. Is there a way to avoid these problems on your rentals, like background checks on the clients??
@lemonpepperwings698 I really appreciate that comments fam. Tbh TURO does the background check before renters can even get the car. So once they get approved to book all you can really do is be prepared as possible. Hopefully my content can help you with that! 💪🏽💯
Ralph, I do Turo as well, I would recommend switching off instant booking if you still use it. I have had nothing but quality renters, with 0 (Thank you Jesus) damage claims since I made the decision.
Hey fam, I really appreciate you watching & this comment! I have really been considering that lately. So have you seen any difference in your utilization rates while having instant booking “off” as opposed to when you had it on?
@@Ralphmeansbiz I haven’t seen a decrease in utilization. My best month this year was with instant book off, I had a dodge charger that was down for 3 and 1/2 months for a claim. Since then, both my charger and my Chevy Cruze have not had any issues. Most of my renters now are coming in from the airport on business trips, dress and act professional. Others are locals who need a car but are very nice, I accept every renter that has a previous 5 star rating.
Hey thanks for the vid! I heard you have been investing money on Uber when going to different places. I’d strongly suggest to get an electric scooter ! Like the Segway gt 1, gt2 or max g2. They will save you a lot of money. Let me know what you think!
I got you bro! Appreciate you watching 🫡💯 So if it’s in my business name, I’m definitely using commercial insurance. You can do an off-rental program from someone like Lula or even get a commercial policy from a big insurer (just in your business name).
@@Ralphmeansbiz Thank you for the reference, I just watched the video you did on getting approved with commercial financing. This is helping, your content is concise.

Ralph it looks like you are on the 90/10 Turo insurance plan? Did you file the claim through Travelers with Turo, or did you file it through your separate commercial insurer?
Hey, I’m actually on the 75 plan. I also mentioned in the video that I filed the claim with TURO directly & how they paid me out for it 👍 You never file damage claims that happen from a guest on TURO with any outside insurer. Commercial insurance is only there for protection when vehicles are not being rented.
Great video, im from Orlando Florida, been doing turo for some time now. September has been very slow. Do you only use the turo platform or do you have another platform that covers days that turo does not book?
Yo Jason, appreciate you watching & engaging my guy! So I predominantly use TURO for the car rental business, used to rent on HyreCar as well. But I’m actually working on transitioning into private rentals as well.
Ive never used hyre car , when i first started turo i was hearing that people were using both and tracking their bookings through both apps on a third party app which managed them all very well. I figured it would be more beneficial to expand income. Private rentals i know for sure alot of people are getting into I just dont know where to even begin. I have two cars , a tesla and nissan sentra, both do well on the platform but i cant seem to book often in their respective daily values, for some reason ill only get consistent bookings when i lower the daily rates to compete with the rest of the market. Your videos though keep spitting the information and editing the videos how you do cause they are ALOT different from the rest of these turo youtubers. Actual transparent content. I fuck with you!
Thanks for the info, Ralph. But didn't the dealership void the warranty since the car was used on turo as a rental? Or you just didn't mention that part to them when you brought it to them to have the check engine looked at? Thanks again.
Per the video, the warranty was used to have the vehicle repaired so it definitely wasn’t voided lol. I’ve never had a dealership ask me anything about how I’m using any of my vehicles.
if a Turo guest totals out the my car will Turo insurance policy cover it or do I have to go through my own personal insurance policy to get it covered
Okay So why is it that I still need my own personal insurance on the car if turo pretty much covers all damages and wrecks and if the car gets totaled out especially if I get the car to only strictly rent out on Turo?
@user-dy4df9zs9h b/c you legally need insurance for any car you put on the road. Turo isn’t an insurance company, so you still need an insurance policy for when it’s not being rented + to get the car registered with the state, etc.

Are you on the 90% plan? How would you profit from damages?
No, the 75 plan. I explained it in this video though. My auto body shop can sometimes do the work for less than Turo pays me out for the claim.
Thanks for the info, Ralph. But didn't the dealership void the warranty since the car was used on turo as a rental? Or you just didn't mention that part to them when you brought it to them to have the check engine looked at? Thanks again.

if a Turo guest totals out the my car will Turo insurance policy cover it or do I have to go through my own personal insurance policy to get it covered
As long as you have taken clear pictures of the before & after of the car TURO will cover it and reimburse you the market value of your vehicle.
Okay So why is it that I still need my own personal insurance on the car if turo pretty much covers all damages and wrecks and if the car gets totaled out especially if I get the car to only strictly rent out on Turo?

Bad thermostat on a brand new car🤔
Yup. The whole situation was pretty frustrating 🤦🏽♂️
Do you do auto booking or do you approve the renters?
I use auto-booking for all my vehicles. Try to make it as easy as possible for renters to choose my listings.
