    I’m a high functioning sociopath. You have a lot of guts to put your self out there like you do. Personally, being in the shadows is my comfort level because of the huge misconception about the disorder. I don’t feel love, shame, guilt, or feel any attachment to anyone and can be deceptive. I do have the best acting skills that developed on their own as a survival mechanism also super intelligent as most high functioning ASPD suffers are.
    Personally, I would never want to change, normal people are all caught up in emotion while everything I do and say is razor edged logic based action. People think they have never spoken with a high functioning sociopath but if you have spoken with a lawyer, judge, psychologist, doctor, CEO, law enforcement or people super successful in business odds are you have spoken to one.

    Though I haven't had a proper diagnosis, I have many symptoms of a conduct disorder. I highly appreciate this channel as it is very difficult to find content on the internet regarding this topic. One thing that is interesting to know is that it is actually quite common (from what I can tell) for someone with this to be able to label people, their fortitude, and how dangerous they are. I can only describe it at least how I experience it almost as if each person has an aura, some specifics about the way they carry themselves or something along those lines. I once met someone who made me extremely uncomfortable, any advance he made to be friendly with me had me on edge. I was somewhat forced to associate with him as he dated a very close friend of mine, so of course I treated him as if I was completely unaware of his strange demeanor, long story short, he attempted to manipulate me 2 years after I had met him, and revealed his true colors a few days later.

      @@ebogar42 How you doing Eric? So many things you say I can relate to, it’s uncanny! I was with a friend of mine last Thursday and she’s always been dubious about me having ASPD (despite having the worse impulse control imaginable) but reading your comments, she was more convinced, because she said it sounded like me. She has asked me why I’m always there for her and so kind to her if I have ASPD and I explained that it’s because I’ve already bonded with her (we’ve been friends 17 years) and I wouldn’t have told her in the first place if I didn’t totally trust her. Sometimes I doubt it myself, as it’s moderate not high ASPD traits, but there’s certain instances such as seeing an acquaintance get stabbed in the stomach when I was 16 and I felt nothing. I even thought everybody was lying when they were saying they couldn’t eat and were shaken up by it. That must be an indication itself, asides from the devastation of my life through substance dependence issues which happened years later and seemed to compound what was already there.

    • @ebogar42
      @ebogar42 3 года назад +2

      @@LoveHumanity4783 Yeah, when I see violent things I don't really have any feelings other than feeling like I have no clue how to feel. I know I would if it was a family member or someone I'm close to. If it's just a random person or someone I've went to school with or worked with but were never really close, I don't get emotional about it. I always thought that was normal. It seems normal sometimes because I see how others react to peoples deaths and have zero empathy if they did something bad. I'm guessing they can turn it on and off though. I can't really do that. It doesn't matter if you were a saint, I'm not going to feel anything if we weren't extremely close. I do understand it's bad and nothing to laugh about. I take it serious, but I just don't really care either in a sense. It doesn't affect my life. I definitely have emotions though and very strong ones. I think that's one reason it's easy for us to go zero to sixty. I can feel just as much rage as sadness sometimes. We know how it feels to get fucked over too by friends, so it doesn't really take empathy to be a good friend. I'm always loyal to my friends. I can't really say the same about girlfriends. I've always had a problem with getting bored of the same person and cheating. I think that's why I think I'm better off single. I have a hard time staying with the same person forever and don't really have the urge to. I know I've had friends that feel the same as your friend though. They know I have their backs and will fight for them and speak up for them. They know I don't bullshit them either and what they like about me. It's what a lot of people don't like about me though. I just say what I'm thinking and don't really care who I offend too much. I will hold back on some things though. I'm not a complete dick I guess. My ex wife once told me that she feels safe with me always even with her knowing my temper and that I fight at the drop of a hat. She knew I would fight for her no matter what or even give my life for her. I can say I'm hard to live with at times, but I'm also a guy you want on your side when shit hits the fan. I've never hit a woman either or wanted to. It just felt below me. It's not that I would feel bad. It's just not right. I already know how I feel hitting innocent or smaller people. I did it in 8th grade and broke a boys fingers throwing a basketball at him and the only thing I cared about is not getting in trouble and getting my story straight with my friends so we could lie to the Principal. I didn't give a shit about his fingers. He kept guarding me too close and bumping me and I told him twice to back off and he just kept bumping me. Lots of other examples of things like that too I've done. Like getting caught for anything really. I never feel guilt. Just bad I got caught and always hated the consequences so probably why I don't go out looking to fuck up ever. It just happens sometimes. Society would want you to believe we go out and hunt and prey on people when in reality most of the shit we do just hurts ourselves.

    • @LoveHumanity4783
      @LoveHumanity4783 3 года назад +1

      @@ebogar42 Yeah I’m the same with virtually all those points. What I believe is useful for other people to understand is that you don’t have to have a conscience in order to do good and not cause harm. In fact, I often think that if the only reason somebody doesn’t go out and act maliciously, is because they think they’ll feel guilty - that doesn’t say much about them in the first place! With regards to my family and friends I treat them extremely well, because I love them and it’s as simple as that. I don’t do it because I’d feel guilty if I didn’t. I do it because I want to. It’s actually a lesson people without ASPD should learn ie you don’t need to punish yourself with guilt to act with the right intention, because ultimately that’s what it is - an investment in them as a person, because you’ve come to value them. I used to see it as having an analogy, with myself being a dragon wrapping a wing around them, and once I’ve done that, I’ll protect them forever. My reactions towards strangers are just the face that I’m supposed to show, but inside I feel nothing, because I don’t have any bond with them, so I don’t really care. When I was in my twenties, I seemed to end up in a lot of drunken fights. I remember a guy trying to beat me on the arm with an iron bar, but I just kept running at him, so in the end he dropped it and fled because I suppose he realised if he didn’t kill me with it, I’d just keep coming towards him. I didn’t even think it was abnormal for me to do that. Now I’m older, I don’t find myself in those situations as I have this unfathomable rage bubbling just under my conscious mind. It feels almost like a separate creature that starts to take over if there’s a threat to anybody I care about. It’s seems as if my eyes are rolling around and my vision becomes hazy. I think it’s a form of disassociation as I’ve seen photos of myself and I don’t even look the same when it happens. At this point, people just seem to back away before my urge to beat them half to death takes over. The rest of the time, I’m probably fairly easy-going although I take way too many drugs and stimulants calm me down and make me want to sleep more often than not. Valium is boring and alcohol unhinges me so it’s mainly stimulants I consume, just because it makes mundane events more interesting. I seem to need a certain amount of chaos surrounding me, or life seems pointless. I used to say that there’s no point in trying to get your ducks in a row, because if they were - the boredom would cause you to shoot a few down anyway! 😅 I’m trying to work on longer term goals and deferring gratification, but that is the one area my muted sense of guilt does effect. I just can’t see the point of planning for the future when you’d probably not even enjoy it when spontaneity is half the fun and nobody even knows if they’ll still be here five or even one year from now! I’m trying to do it for my family though, but it’s a real struggle when you’re brain just doesn’t function like that!

Their acting is never good,normal people sense beneth facial expressions and empaths can understand even what they'll do next.We know their world,but they don't know our world.Normal people can repress their emotions and be even more ruthless if they feel angry,but they never truly feel.They get glimpses not authentic powerful energy and emotions.They may feel a sensation of satisfaction but not true powerful happiness.Basically,normal people are borned with both the evil and good.Aspd people are borned only with "a part" of evil energy.Not even their agressive energy is useful,they are chaotic and irational.(they believe the opposite).They see the root of people's succes(energy, feelings) as a weakness.They do not lie for their interests,they lie and decieve compulsively.The reason they see themselves as smart it is because they believe they trick people,but people trick themselves by giving excuses:"There's no way someone can be that dumb and empty..it must be a mistake".If they were truly superior we would call this "the price of evolution",but there is a reason why science calls this humans sick guys.

      @@bellatristic4127 Hi Maria, I liked that response about being ‘selectively rational!’ 😂😂😂 It was quite funny! Please bear in mind that I was in no way attacking you with my comment. I have a high respect for empathic people and my best friend is extremely empathic. I just think that there is a tendency to generalize with ASPD and also a tendency to confuse it with narcissistic personality disorder, which I score lower than average on. Interestingly enough, if you read the diagnostic criteria, it is NPD which specific ‘lack of empathy’ as a trait and not ASPD which only states a ‘lack of remorse.’ This in itself doesn’t mean you would treat people in a manipulative or destructive way and most of my reckless, impulsive behaviour is just self-destructive. My wife has said to me many times, ‘Martin, the only person you ever hurt is yourself.’ I would disagree, because I think that substance dependence financially effects family and it’s something I’m working on. In terms of empathy, I am told by my friends I have very high empathy, although what I am displaying is more cognitive empathy, with which I genuinely love helping people, by trying to see things from their perspective and express my thoughts in a way I feel would be helpful to them. This would also be based on my understanding of their individual psychology. I didn’t even know I had a deficit in affective empathy until a couple of years ago, when I realised my ethical system is consistently rational and intuitive, but I don’t ‘feel’ their emotions the way other people seem too. For strangers I am somewhat indifferent, but enjoy conversing with them and improving a situation, instead of arguing with a subjective, predetermined, emotionally-charged standpoint. Hope this makes sense and that you are having a pleasant afternoon?

      @SocioPathos  3 года назад +2

      I'd only really be into it if I got enough info on the targets to make a judgment call on if I thought they deserved to die or not, and then choose to take the contract or not. I would totally take a hit on a serial rapist, for example. All moral stuff goes out the window once I don't get a say in the contract though, but to play devil's advocate I'd know they'll just get someone else to do the job, so might as well get the money if I really need it, right? It'd be a very complex and worrisome business, so that's a big reason I don't pursue the idea.

    • @annab6873

      Interesting, so essentially you are saying you’d prefer not to kill innocent people because it disagrees with your moral code and lifestyle preferences BUT if you really needed the money you would potentially nurseries an innocent person on the reasoning that someone else would otherwise get paid to do it. Their acting is never good,normal people sense beneth facial expressions and empaths can understand even what they'll do next.We know their world,but they don't know our world.Normal people can repress their emotions and be even more ruthless if they feel angry,but they never truly feel.They get glimpses not authentic powerful energy and emotions.They may feel a sensation of satisfaction but not true powerful happiness.Basically,normal people are borned with both the evil and good.Aspd people are borned only with "a part" of evil energy.Not even their agressive energy is useful,they are chaotic and irational.(they believe the opposite).They see the root of people's succes(energy, feelings) as a weakness.They do not lie just for their interests,they lie and decieve compulsively,even self sabotaging bcs of it.The reason they see themselves as smart it is because they believe they trick people,but people trick themselves by giving excuses:"There's no way someone can be that dumb and empty..it must be a mistake".If they were truly superior we would call this "the price of evolution",but there is a reason why science calls this humans sick guys.

    i wonder if you turned off your empathy for this video. you triggered a lot of warning signs of hostility or maliciousness in me when talking- and i tend to be pretty good in reading people based on people and emotion. im also a highly sensitive person and youve made me anxious at a few points in the video!! 😅😅

      @@cultistivator809 tysm dude, and I don't think I really "turned off" my empathy within the video, but I did give a window into the possibility for myself to do so. sorry I made you anxious, but I gotta be completely honest all the time just because of my own rules for the channel. thanks for stopping by and wanting to learn, we need more people like yourself!
