I have the original 2.0, and keep my bus pass on the outside of it. The card reader still can’t scan it, so I have to push it beyond the metal of the wallet. I am very confident that my 2.0 is protecting the important cards. Great job guys!

Good information. Many clerks think the antenna is by the visible chip! I have the OG 2.0 and Axis and love them both, having a hard time deciding which one to use each day.

Why don't you use the same type of metal plate on the 2.o than you do on the summit for the same type of protection?

That's a good question, and there is not really one answer. Other factors were taken into consideration including weight, color, cost, and engraving. Fortunately, the aluminum still offers quite a bit of protection.

I find that with the Contour, storing cards in RFID blocking sleeves not only provides better RFID protection, but also protects the cards from physical damage.

Hi the rfid protection is so good, i cant enter my work facilities without removing my access card. Even if the card is on the paracord side the sensor still cant detect it. Do you have any solution for this? I have the OG 2.0.

Thanks for the question. There's not much you can do here besides taking the card out. It's good to know the RFID protection is working so well though.

I ordered an OG2 style in G10 last night, did I negate or weaken the RFID with that option?

Good question. The G10 still offers RFID protection, but not as much as the aluminum front plate. To increase security, we recommend keeping cards with RFID closest to the back plate. - Will H.

I thought the credit card companies discontinued the RFIDs on credit cards and just went with the chips. Am I incorrect?

It most likely depends on the bank. I have a couple of cards that definitely use RFID. - Will H.

RFID protection is the scam here...cards are encrypted nowadays
