14 parts Sucrose (Lactose is even better)
23 parts Potassium Chlorate
6 parts Magnesium Carbonate
54 parts Terepthalic Acid

Skylighter has the tools and materials you need. They have tubes and the tools for those tubes and you can compress the material leaving a channel down the center for ignition as well as increased surface area.

Make a simple split mold so you can pour your priming compound around the fuse and let dry and you would have a perfect consistent pellet on the end..

I tried the ratio of 14 g sucrose, 23 g potassium perchlorate, 6 g magnesium carbonate and 54 g terephthalic acid.
Didn't seem to burn well. Is it because I'm using perchlorate instead of chlorate?
Or is it because I need an ignition composition? A fuse alone doesn't light it.
And I will find out soon enough, but can you use colored smoke dye with a terephthalic acid composition?
Perchlorate and Chlorate are very different oxidizers and not substitutable without further understanding. If testing, do in extremely small batches (under 5g). I’m not knowledgeable or experienced with perchlorate outside of my readings on flash compositions. Perchlorate is a significantly more stable, higher efficiency oxidizer while chlorate is highly sensitive. I’m not really qualified to advise.
I will update further on the colored dye. I’m going to try and meet up with a dye guru to get some real direction on that

Can you give us the formula in grams? Or at the very least the formula on how you got the composition ratio into grams?
Just call the “parts” “grams”. And multiply all parts by the same number to scale up. I get a 2 gallon plastic bucket and usually multiply all components by 13
