A couple of years ago I was offered a job making video content. Stuff happened and that didn't work out, such is life. This is the first and only video I made for them and I thought it was decent enough to share here. I've removed all mention of the company and their branding from this video just to be safe, but I bear this company no ill will.

This was an extremely useful explanation of sample and hold. Especially mapping each note on to the next voltage position. An archive of how to use different synthesis techniques in composition like this would be awesome.

Nice one Scott. I love S&H and did some crazy things with it on my old 100m 👍

OMG thank you, I have just got a K2 and a neutron to start my semi modular journey and I know what sample and hold sounds like but had no idea what it wears actually doing and now I do thank you 😊

Hey Scott, always enjoy your content. Keeps the dimmed, slightly aging flame of synth creativity flickering in the back of my mind. One day I will let it burn again! This one was a very ... ... video! Thanks! 😉 👍

Fun fact: if you have an S&H circuit that's really fast, you can use it as a "downsampling" effect by driving the clock input with an audio range oscillator. It's technically the same thing that happens in the first stage of a analog to digital converter. Control the frequency of the oscillator with an envelope, and you get instant crushy madness.

Hi what was that harmonic minor thing you were playing? Love to learn it on guitar. I’ve liked and subscribed. Thanks 🙏
