I just realized that you actually can use it as an fx pedal for external inputs. I found a hidden feature that was not mentioned in the included guide, so this is in fact possible
@@ld1775 Yeah. I don't know if it's intentionally hidden. I think they're just not completely finished with their manual yet. There's a lot of functionality they share on their discord server that I haven't been able to find in the user manual. So in time, hopefully it will be more available.
Not sure if youve been told yet, but you can totally adjust the Delay and Reverb independent of eachother. Just gotta hold the chompi button as you turn the magic wand.
My setup is mostly eurorack with an OXI-One (which is basically a module in itself) for master clock and sequencing with an OP-Z for beats. Even my mixer and interface are in the rack. As it stands, I just want a versatile sampler to craft sounds and add to the mix. For what it does, this looks great due to its sound control and small footprint. There are modular samplers out there, but they are pretty limited in comparison. The Rossum Assimil80r is probably the most advanced, but it's hard to get a hold of and it's 1000 bucks. I'll watch this to see how it develops before I buy, though.
WOOOOOOOW….. Your eyes……. That’s SO COOL EDIT: I’m completely mesmerized by the confusing but very cool feeling the two different colors are giving It’s like having 2 different faces with the same face or two different moods wtffff I even can’t describe it But that’s really really cool You should be used to have people staring at you completely fascinated that should be so weird for you…. No internal clock? Can't edit volume after sampling? No sequencer? While it looks nice, i don't see this being worth 600 bucks with all its shortcommings tbh..
@@flundlipI’d be willing to take the chance of them not doing anything with the firmware for $199 as the over all price. Then I’d take that other $400 and put it towards a real sampler. Because at that point, it’s just a fun little toy-ish kinda thing. Sure you can sample into it and get some quick and interesting results, but it just needs some clock and undo features for me to even consider it an option. Because used mk2 SP404’s are now around $400 and that seems like a better deal. That or a Digitakt.
@@thedeepblueskys but sp 404 is a lot different. This is basically a guitar looper pedal thing, and its great at exactly that one thing. Recording pitching around, recording on top of that and so on. Results can be super dope in no time.
I have both. The nunomo is super cool and not fun at all to use whatsoever compared to the chompi. They have nothing to do with each other. No sequencer, a sampler that can't be used without an external microphone anyway due to switch noise, software glitches, there isn't even a metronome. This thing seems terrible honestly. Quirky and cute, but terrible

Seems like more of a tool rather then a fully fledged groovebox would like one for my set up as it sounds great
That looks great for producers without computers/ digital audio workstations.
This is a great "guitar pedal" for creating dope loops. But replacement for daw? Hellll no bro
Great video thanks mate. Are you actually using the iPad as an input directly or is it using the microphone?
Thank you! Yeah I'm using an 3.5mm cable from the iPad into the Chompi input
