Dear Greg, I have finally uploaded my video about Senegal parrots. It's the newest one on my channel. I hope you will like it. Thank you for encouraging me to film the parrots! Yours, Florin
If you follow the itinerary from my videos you should see many of the species covered, but you'll need a guide to make best use of time. By "DIY" do you mean making all arrangements yourself rather than through a tour operator or by using guides?
@@GregBaker57 thanks for your reply. Using local guides and booking flights and accommodation is my plan. Do you recommend hiring a car, I've heard bad vibes about that?
No I wouldn’t recommend hiring a car. Get a guide / driver or if birding on your own locally just use taxis and get them to stay with you until you’re ready to leave.
i dont mean to be offtopic but does anyone know a tool to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow lost the password. I would love any tips you can give me.
@Moshe Travis Thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Wonderful footage and excellent storytelling! Thanks for sharing these videos! Do you have any tips for finding and filming Senegal parrots in The Gambia? I'm going to stay at Kairaba Hotel. Yours, Florin
Search for Senegal Parrots in lightly wooded habitats. For photos try looking for old palm trees with holes in, where they might nest. They’re noisy but generally wary. Good luck!
Hello again! I'm back from the trip and I wish to thank you again for the tip. I saw the parrots and I will publish a video. I am really happy! Yours, Florin

Hi Greg, I'm thinking of doing a DIY birding trip to Gambia on the strength of your fantastic videos. Have you got any suggestions and tips?

Kairaba Hotel is about 4 miles form my house in Fajara,The Gambia..
Beautiful!!
Why are so many of the birds were named after Senegal rather than Gambia?
Probably because Senegal is a lot bigger
