My grandfather escaped to Australia as a young man. I wrote 'Dirt Road To Paradise' on my first tour through his home country of Germany in part as a tribute to him, but also as a story my then 4-year-old son could hear about his family history and the importance of moving forward.

@@ronmey7500 Not on this song. That soundhole pickup was used as a separate electric output to an amp for dirty tone when I play with a drummer. I’ve upgraded to a Cole Clark humbucker model for that now but what you hear on this track is just the standard Cole Clark 3 way system that comes in all their guitars.
