Because a lot of people living in Luton aren't actuallly from there and are immigrants, there is absolutely no desire from thosr who live there (immigrants) to make the place nice. They have no emotional attachment to it. Towns that are predominantly English with locals living there tend to be far more looked after.

Since my last visit in 2008, a special bus on rails now runs there, using the old railway line. That'll be my reason for going back. Using the airport is about all that most people see of Luton. I've been to Luton a handful of times... I was never "anxious" there... but I suppose I wasn't walking around with my phone out. Balaclavas are very "en-vogue" these days (since the pandemic). @karrllson unfortunately they do feel like this, is half the reason my entire family has moved away from Luton to Bedford, unfortunately it's turning into a 3rd world country, and we definitely don't want to be apart it and definitely dont want to be anywhere near it
