Salam Wahalaykum I am Algerian from Kabyle (fatma Laalla) and Wahran (Abd-AlQadir) so of course I had a huge Sufi influence but never knew what Sufism was, always just was a Sunni. I believe the Western Sufis had a great understanding of the Fitr and that Sufism is an exploration of the Inner Appartments in the breath of God i.e the intuition and its navigation. I believe all Muslims must be Sufis or aspire to be, and the true Sufis who can really understand Al-Qadirs work (Not just ritualistic songs and dancing) are the most Nobel and close to Allah SWT. I think that many Sufis are misguided though, and they read these things merely as poetry or nice words that feel good in their chest.. And so some have almost become sensualists, spiritual sensualists if you would. Anyway its an interesting topic lol

ASalam o alaikum Sheikh Hatim. You are my teacher. I follow Hunbali school of thought Alhumdullilah.
I read the whole book of Imam Ibn Jawzi RA. “ Talbees e Iblees”.
He criticized some concepts in tasawuf.
Can you please make a video or lecture on his book.? It will help us understand the Sufis better. Please

Chapter: On Schism (فرقة), the Difference Between Creed (العقيدة) and Faith (الإيمان). And their links to the All-Denominationists (الجماعة).
The authentic hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) when he mentioned that the Jews were divided into 71 sects, and the Christians were divided into 72 sects, and that we would be divided into 73 sects, and all of them will be in Hell-fire except one (كلهم في النار إلّا واحد), is of great importance. Those who "unify" all groups even though they are divided in their diversity of schools of thoughts, are going to the many doors of Paradise, the doors that mentions They all have different Creeds (عقيدة) to which they reach the truth, individually. Thus, Allaah Will Declare on the Day of Judgment:
    [5 : 119].
The truthfulness (صِدق) will save a person, even though they might have a difference of opinion from others which shapes their Creed (عقيدة). And individualistic Creeds are subjective. Thus, the truthfulness of a person will be saved objectively with His (سبحانه وتعالى) Justice, and a hypocrite will be punished by chastity for turning away from the truth.
The saved sect is the sect that unifies all sects (الجماعة) of Al-Islam, and are brothers even without the metaphor of the same bloodline, similar as to in similitude to the brotherhood of all the companions of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله), who were unified in hearts, even though they each had diversity of thoughts. A person preserves his own truth (عقيدة), but Faith (الإيمان) preserves all of those who preserve their own individual truths. Al-Jamaa'a (الجماعة) are the All-Denominationists, who do not exclude from Al-Islam anyone that has declared [لا إله الا الله محمد رسول الله], but distinguish by distinction their ranks according to the level of consciousness of Allaah (التقوي الله) to which Allaah Says:
Thus, they include everyone in the community, and don't leave anyone behind or in exile (except for the expiation for major sins). Therewith, Faith unites us in our commonality, and our personalities separate us individually, just like the community (الجماعة) of the companions of the Prophet.
Ahl-Al-Hadeeth (those that study the hadith literature) and the analogy with their separation with other groups: is akin to saying they aren't Ahl-Al-Fiqh or other categories of knowledge such as those that study the knowledge of the Quran (Ahl-Al-Qur'an). Indeed, verifiably, the Ahl-Al-Hadeeth are certainly Ahl-Al-Quran and Ahl-Al-Fiqh. Each group rejoices on their separation from other groups instead of conjoining all groups, including the Ahl-Al-Bayt and Ahl-Al-Tashi'e (the Shia) whose fiqh is through Imam Ja'far Al-Sadiq.
All of us should come together as union of all of multiple groups (الجماعة إجمعة), and unite. And let not our marriages, or correlation, between each knowledge (and groups) separate us, just as akin to the Shiyaateen (devils) separating the union between a man and his wife.
As a word can have more than one meaning, a sentence can have many interpretations, and the sentences which were descended to us by the Prophet Muhammad (ص) were indeed of many interpretations. To example, a person can say a word has only one meaning, yet another person can say he has another meaning to the same word, even though the word has two meanings, to which the two people quarreled and became Separatists.
Akin to this analogy of our separation, we should allow and respect other schools of thoughts and their scholars' understanding of the ahaadith and the Magnificence of the Holy Quran, to which this would make us all unite together, first within ourselves, and then to other schools of thoughts.
Our separations have given us of no value, but our unions will give us great value, to which the Pleasure of Allaah will descend unto this Earth. Instead of pleasing ourselves and our groups, we should know what Pleases Allaah, that is our unification and discipline (through the last Prophet Muhammad [ص]).
Ahl-Al-Hadeeth were people that preserved the prophetic traditions, and were those that separated themselves from the Ahl-Al-Rai (people of opinions). This was a term coined by Imam Malik when he had trouble with the people who came new to Islam and had philosophical views. He separated the traditionalist with the philosophers, especially of Greek and Persian origin. Imam Abu Haneefa also did embrace this term (Ahl-Al-Hadeeth) when dealing with atheists and hindu pundits and philosophers, who were either new Muslims or debaters. But he Imam Abu Haneefa didn't coin it (Imam Malik did).
In my subjective nurture and not by my objective nature, the people of Hadeeth (أصحاب الحديث) in my opinion are the closest to Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم), as long as they keep unity between the classification of other groups and other methodologies, and oblige by respect and by recognition to different understandings of the Prophet Traditions (أحاديث). If they do separate from other groups, they are making a huge mistake, because Hadith literature, along with the Speech of Allaah, are the basic foundation of our religion and obedience to Allaah The Almighty.

Mix the truth with falsehood? Fear Allah bro that is not the correct meaning of the ahadith which mention the saved sect. in one narration (Tirmidhi) he ‎(ﷺ) mentioned the saved sect will be those who are upon what he and his companions are upon. Have you heard how ibn Umar treated the one who denied qadr? When they started this bid’ah? He claimed he was free of them. He didn’t say come come, your my brother. Point is as much as we would love to unite the ummah, it won’t happen until we have the correct aqeedah as shaykh Fawzan said.

@@omarrthaHanafi you accuse wrongly. Sufism ran the Ottoman sultanate. According to Turk historian Halil Incirlik, the Ottoman dynasty was attached to the Malawi, the judges, imams, khateebs were led by the Naqshbandi, the administrative positions were led by the Qadiri, the Janasarries were led by the Bektashi Tariqa. Each had tekkes, but Bektashis focused on newly conquered lands like the Balkans where they had many lands and tekkes. Shaykhul Islam Fanari led the Naqshbandi in implementing Wahdat Wujud in the curriculum for imams abs judges. The first Salafi to oppose Sufi deviations was imam Birgivi. The next was Kadezade Mehmed. Both were Salafi ulama. Bektashis, Khalwatis, and the acceptance of Hellenism by Sufi orders were major Sufi deviations that corrupted the society. The loss at Vienna in 1683 led to Bektashis removing the sultan and installing licentous French reforms from 1700 to 1730. The Salafi movement of imam Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab arose to counter that corruption which included homosexual conduct, practice of magic, worship of dead saints, to mention the worst examples

Be respectful in voicing your opinion. He's a scholar of highest calibre. The Sheikh is talking about Sufism that's based on Quran and sunnah. It's like fiqh. You will not find Prophet (peace be upon him) teaching the topic fiqh, aqeeda etc. But later scholars systematised it based on Quran and sunnah. Similarly tasawuf is a systematised way of training the heart. It's not a new religion..
