  • One of the best sounding guitars I have ever had at any price.
It has some of that pre-war martin tone married to the great made in japan tone from guitars from the 70s. I will never forget this one and hard to let it go but have kind of a Zen thing about it and if it makes someone happy and helps them discover their joy then it supports the universe and is on purpose.
    It is sold.

I have one. My first guitar from the 90’s. Glad I never gave it up.

I found an older F360, rosewood b&s, a little beat up, but, what a gem. Sounds freakin amazing! Thanks for sharing & playing !!!

Mine is 1977s F-340 with laminated spruce top but I will never give it up, unless I get my hands on real D18 :)

These were Takamine's version of a Martin D18. The headstock and font mimicked Martins, and thus were considered worthy of the name LAWSUIT.

Looks like a Mass hirade guitar. I have a 1963 Takamine that was made before he entered the company. There are pictures of them selling that guitar when they were "Ohzone Music". My one has beveled edges on the fretboard and other quirks but definitely the best guitar I have played. The ones that are made after 1965 go for thousands as Mass Hirade was an experienced luthier and improved their standards.
