Gotta admit, I'm really digging this, and love the combo of things, how it has elements of prime, but magnus carrier, but battlestation, and driver storage, diaclone pilot like elements, upgrade parts. Like jiminy cricket man, this thing is like hasbro plans across 5 years, all condensed into a single toy. Mad props. With stuff like this, I kinda wish they'd go full Microman already. Seeing what they could do with a sentai/microman mashup, with their stylistic choices & influences, with a dash of BGC thrown in for fun. Like damn man, this could be toy world fire setting a blaze on all their claims of 'merchandising is down'. No, merchandising is not down, your products just suck. These guys know what they doing, cause holy wow, this is the kind of stuff I wish I had as a kid.
Just looking at that guy gives me ideas of scenarios you play with your other transformer toys. He rolls up releasing either 52toys combiner or beastdrive sets to the scene while he transform optimus prime style. Fun!
That looks like a good quality plastic for a toy. It reminds me a little bit of old transformers toys, back in the day when Hasbro/Takara used good plastic molds - unlike current Studio Series toys lol
Really cool figure!😊 It's like a strange yet awesome combination of Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal's alt modes! Plus, I really like how the head kind of looks like the helmet of Master Chief from Halo!😁 My only complaint about the figure overall is that the two little bars that you remove from the truck's trailer part don't seem to go anywhere in the gorilla mode, so it feels a bit like partsforming. Trukk Munkey!! My only real complaint is that the head is way too stylized, in my opinion. I kind of wish they did a head more like the other Beast Drive figures, or the Zoids Iron Kong, where it is still clearly robotic, but also a recognizable gorilla head. This weird helmet design does not really work for a gorilla, in my opinion.
Hmm, the transformation mechanics are great, and the design is interesting (though the head could be better, I feel) but those side windows for the truck cabin... Those feel like they are just aping the looks of Optimus Prime's cab for popularity.
