Brutal this recording. Pavement is an extraordinary band.
I forgot how much I love their song "here"!
I love both versions of "here" as individual songs
I forget how much I love them all, but not very long.
This is THE best version. Then Mark Kozelek.
5:22 Shnake lol Turns up again in the middle of the superb SM track "Deado" Fantastic musician / writer.
Only John Peel could draw connective tissue between Pavement, Napalm Death, or The Cure. If it was John Peel, you just KNEW IT. He drew the best performance out of everyone who moved through his faders.
That's the indomitable Fact. John Peel did more for culture than most "curators" could ever consider. His remarks about The Fall are both radically entertaining with the added virtue of being "true."
For years I only had half of secret knowledge of…as tape ran out …finally I can hear it full
Estupenda grabación. Es un lujo este sonido. Lo guardo en mis entrañas
the end of kentucky cocktail is heaven
Thank you for this document of the depth of Pavement. Texas Never Whispers because who'd ever want that? Go feedback go.
Remarkable stuff, this. Three of these four songs never appeared again. They'd have been lead singles for any other band around that time.
Circa 1762 is the best song Pavement ever made imho, great guitar solo.
I agree it is one of my favorites for sure.
Man, changes almost weekly for me
