  • In this video I replace the right rear view mirror on my 2007 Ford Mustang. This replacement is quick and easy and could save you some $$$$! This installation should work on most Mustangs between the years 2005-2010. The Installation is the same for both sides of the car.

@@readingisfund-a-mental1157 I did it. It wasn't that hard. Kind of easy! Then I changed out my two head lights. Now that was difficult, but I did it. 😊 Good luck!!

Thanks for this informative video! Last time I knocked off my mirror backing out of a tight garage, the dealer charged over $250 to replace it. I did it again and bought the mirror for $90. Didn't realize it was so simple to replace. Thanks again.

Thanks for the detail! Lots of people like to gloss over simple jobs like this. In particular, I appreciate knowing the nut size, and how to pop off that interior cap, in advance.

Got a little spring fever today and took the mustang out of the garage. You know the rest. Bang, crunch. After seeing this I feel good about doing it myself. Thanks.

Thanks sooo much! A jerk neighbor left a full trash bin in the road and like an idiot I was too close to it and BOOM. There went my mirror... expecting some possible wire damage because the wire was hanging out and holding the mirror on AND THEN of course, it rained. My life...my replacement mirror is non oem and has some dumb ridges on it but it will do until I can afford the real thing. Thanks again, look forward to working on this tomorrow

Thanks man! Got a little too close to the side of the garage on the way in last week. Hopefully the new mirror will be here tomorrow, and I pop that sucker on.

Did the same thing yesterday on my 2005 convertible! Fortunately my dealer had the part the next day -- and this video really made the installation simple!

One of the most important pieces of information here on this video is finding out where to pull the plastic cover to get access to the nuts and electrical plug leading to the mirror. Thank you very much!

Thanks for the video! I was going to pay someone to do this installation but looks simple enough to do by myself. Easy with American Muscle though... shopping there is addicting :)

Thank you so much....my driver side mirror was loose on my 2005 Mustang I purchased ( due to door closing vibration I believe ). being mechanically inclined as a chimpanzee I was happy to see your tutorial so I could tighten it. Worked great!☺

Thank you. Nice instructions. The audio got a little quiet when you repositioned the camera, but I could still hear it.

Great video. I'm not someone who works on cars, but I was able to replace my side view mirror thanks to your video. It took me about 15 minutes to remove my broken mirror (it was hanging loose, so I had to remove it prior to ordering a replacement), 15 minutes to find and order a replacement mirror from AmericanMuscle.com, and 15 minutes to install the new mirror when I received it 2 days later. Thank you.

I bet you could have re-inserted the old studs back into the orig mirror, but with the holes filled with JB Weld. I did that with a stripped exhaust stud on a Porsche 911, 31 years ago, and that stud remains tight as can be to this day..

How much did this mustang cost you? I see some damage on the front fender. The lady before you must not have taken very good care of it. Nice to see it in good hands now.

bbstar54 I paid $7200 for it, 53k miles. Yes it does have some cosmetic damage. I actually already have 2 new front fenders, bumper and hood for it. I will be making videos on how I install all of them and the finished painted product. :)

Couldn't you have just reset the bolts with some gorilla glue. It looked like a clean break (pull out). glue is cheaper. But thanks for the video mines was a break off unrepairable, so I had to buy new ones.
