To me it looked like a shadow of tall man wearing cowboy hat, but I didn't say thing. And apparently his parents noticed that I did a double take, with a confused expression on my face and asked "Did you see the ghost? You know, the one with the cowboy hat? He doesn't show himself very often but did you see the dog too?" I was somewhere between totally freaked out and excited as hell, never caught a glimpse at the ghost doggo, though.

The best cure for haunting is to fill a space with life. I'm an eternal skeptic, but I also didn't want to take any chances in my new apartment (as the last tenant passed away in the suite). I opened all the windows and let the sunshine in, lit candles, and thanked her for giving me the opportunity to live in the space before I moved in. I work in palliative care, so I deal with death on the daily, and have never felt anything strange at work; however, I think it is different when people die in a clinical setting versus their own home. Maybe because almost all my clients have dementia, their memories of home are in other places so they don't stick around. I hope ghosts aren't real. I actually take a lot of comfort in the belief that once our neurons stop firing, we can finally stop thinking and return to the cycle of nature.
My favorite psychic is Alva Solvonkia. She tells you honestly what happens but advises how to change your outcome, and/or how to reemdeem yourself after the fact! And she's so knowledgeable about past lives and not just what occured during our pastlives but how our uniqness embodies our lives from then and now.
I lived for 8 months in a place that had functioned as a POW camp where thousands suffered and died (about a third of those interned), and that for a time functioned as an insane asylum. Not once did I experience anything out of the ordinary.
I’m definitely a skeptic of the paranormal, and even I grew up in what I used to consider a haunted house. I saw things in that house that I could only describe as demonic, but simultaneously I would occasionally experience what’s known as sleep paralysis. Now I’m no expert, but as I understand it sleep paralysis is what happens when you partially wake up half-way between consciousness and a dream state, so you can’t really move your body much, if at all, and you start to see really weird hallucinations. This has more or less disillusioned me to at least my own personal experience with ghosts, as it just makes too much logical sense, but furthermore I’d also grown up seeing a lot of faith healings in the hyper religious communities I grew up in. It seemed strange to me, however, that whether people put their faith in a specific god, alternative medicine, or meditative practice it didn’t really matter: it was the act of believing itself that seemed to affect the healing, which is something called the placebo effect, which I’m sure many of you have heard of. I could also go into how people I knew who claimed to have prophetic abilities could claim such because of selective reasoning and confirmation bias, but I feel I’ve said enough. In short, I can’t really bring myself to buy anything supernatural without extraordinary evidence. I’m not going to judge anyone here for doing so, though, as it is a very compelling subject, and I also wouldn’t be opposed to being presented with evidence. If the supernatural has any truth to it, I want to know about it. I’m only interested in the truth.
Thank you. This is a healthy way to view the world. Some people are all too ready and willing to believe in anything and everything. There may well be strange things happening, but best to keep a sceptical mind and use logic and reason, before jumping to outlandish conclusions. I will say, I find it funny when people explain away things with the placebo effect, like it's no big deal. The fact our mind can change our physiology is freaking amazing! Almost as amazing as if essential oils and crystals actually worked. It is still a bit of a mystery. We know it's real but not how it works. Alas, no need for magic, religion or new age shenanigans, just our brains.

1:02:25 just use VOIP and get someone to patch it into the red phone. You could probably take speaker-out and mic-in and wire them to the handset. Curly-Q cord would be tricky. If you wanted to go more standalone use a Raspberry Pi (in the phone) to run the VOIP and use the audio in/outs to run the mic and speaker. OR you could use a USB to RJ11 adapter and fool the phone into behaving like it's connected. I just full of it today.
I've always thought of death as a type of radiation that's why the fallout is people getting sick or changing around someone that's died. It permeates objects and places and people and changes them and takes time to go away.

Oh HELL yeah. I think it's a really strong thoughtform at the very least. I don't think a suicidal soul would want to stick around unless he had a really strong attachment to the house like from growing up in it or something, like you said there's no unfinished business involved with this, but a thoughtform could easily be caused by that person living with depression in that house for a long time. Mulling over really strong negative emotion in an uncleansed space for a long period of time can eventually program a simple but powerful curse into a specific object or location. Tack on the energetic spike from the suicide and it could easily create something particularly... persistent.
It's really fascinating to me how we as a species are willing to go to extreme lengths and create painfully complex objects to better our lives, like mechanical vehicles, computers, satellites, medication that targets specific viruses inside our bodies etc. We also come up with the most absurd ideas like using the liquefied corpses of dinosaurs as fuel for incredibly complex machines that burn that fuel to move a thingie that moves another thingie that moves some wheels that are made by a synthetic plastic that is incredibly durable, in a metallic thing that is made out of alloys of metal that we invented by mixing up other metals, making those new metals harder and stainless, and we ride inside it and go places really really fast while listening to music playing through a tiny electronic device that stores thousands of songs in it. But when it comes to something so stupidly simple that even a small child can use, like the uija board, and communicate with the spirits, suddenly crickets. The police won't use it to find murderers by asking the murder victims who killed them, the judges won't use it as evidence (witness) in the court of law, historians won't use it to find out more about history from people who actually lived during that century, investigators, governments and organisations won't use it to spy on each other using ghosts and so on and so forth... That's so convenient! Oh don't tell me. It is because it's "dangerous". Like we haven't invented a ton of sciences and developed them in no time, like chemistry, math, physics and so on that were also dangerous. Especially if you consider how much older the occult is compared to the sciences, thus we should have gone further. We created dangerous chemical substances, airplanes that weight tons but fly in the air full of people, nuclear energy that we even weaponised and the list goes on and on... When it comes to the occult however, we're still beginners as a species. Right? We can't meddle with that. We put our kids in a vehicle that is filled with a flammable liquid that needs to be burned in order to make the giant heavy thing move, but we never tried to figure out how to safely communicate with spirits, even though you just said all we need is some salt, a prayer and to move our hands in a certain way to make a certain religious symbol and we're good to go. Or perhaps it could be the simple reason. That it doesn't work. Do you think people didn't consider planes to be dangerous when the Wright brothers started pitching the idea? Or that they didn't ridicule them because they didn't believe that it would work? Much like we do with the supernatural today? But less than a century later every country had commercial planes, flying millions of people left and right all over the planet. Why? Because if it works, no matter how much the inventor gets ridiculed, in the end people will adopt it. Because it actually WORKS. And no matter how dangerous it seems, we find our way around it. Like we did with flying and so many other things. We are inventive like that. But yeah, all the smarts have been in the occult and doing drugs. The rest of us plebeian non believers need to up our game and fall in line cause we aren't as open minded as the people who throw salt on their floor and "cleanse" their room with scented candles while smoking weed.

I used to believe in ghosts. I used to go to Gettysburg, pa and walk around looking for Civil War ghosts, read all Mark Nesbit Ghosts of Gettysburg books. I never saw or experienced anything. Never found anything that I could say was a ghost.
If ghosts are 'real' (and what in this world is) they are probably the result of an asymptote (divide by zero error) in a function of Intelligence. Like a black hole is to mass , perhaps a ghost is to emotion; both naturally occuring in the same coordinate time/space scales (reailty). If this is true, it suggests a whole other axis of Cartesian causality.
Me growing up in North Carolina, you just heard so many Ghost stories and there are so many places believed to be haunted; so i think it makes you more aware of it and able to believe in it. So i can see the South being more 'haunted'

Actually, plenty of people talk about how the great thinkers are occultists, but they associate it with conspiracy theories and the illuminati/"lucifarianism" which is debatable for obvious reasons. Check it out, they theorize that the spirit's personality decays so only the strongest characteristics, anger, revenge, insanity, are left behind.....

My house is a friendly vortex of peculiarities, and I intend to maintain its charm and positivity as long as possible. I always really feel for people who must dwell within uncomfortable homes. I know it's a bit late for such advice, but I would always recommend that anyone who deals with such negativity should try to help any contactable entity or energy move toward a more positive situation, if that makes any sense. Look into some aspects of Shinto in particular, regarding purity and holiness and such. I really like what you have to say about porous materials. I generally tend to think that the "mostly empty space" that is within everything could, in fact, facilitate some phenomena that we are just not quite able to grasp or understand yet. "It's just like smells." Hah. My main familiar is actually quite interested in that particular sense. Also, how do you feel about "future lives"? Considering certain understandings of time that I know you are aware of, isn't it interesting to think about how our selves and places may be reaching out to us from the future, guiding us even?

The best cure for haunting is to fill a space with life. I'm an eternal skeptic, but I also didn't want to take any chances in my new apartment (as the last tenant passed away in the suite). I opened all the windows and let the sunshine in, lit candles, and thanked her for giving me the opportunity to live in the space before I moved in. I work in palliative care, so I deal with death on the daily, and have never felt anything strange at work; however, I think it is different when people die in a clinical setting versus their own home. Maybe because almost all my clients have dementia, their memories of home are in other places so they don't stick around. I hope ghosts aren't real. I actually take a lot of comfort in the belief that once our neurons stop firing, we can finally stop thinking and return to the cycle of nature.
My favorite psychic is Alva Solvonkia. She tells you honestly what happens but advises how to change your outcome, and/or how to reemdeem yourself after the fact! And she's so knowledgeable about past lives and not just what occured during our pastlives but how our uniqness embodies our lives from then and now.
I lived for 8 months in a place that had functioned as a POW camp where thousands suffered and died (about a third of those interned), and that for a time functioned as an insane asylum. Not once did I experience anything out of the ordinary.

I’m definitely a skeptic of the paranormal, and even I grew up in what I used to consider a haunted house. I saw things in that house that I could only describe as demonic, but simultaneously I would occasionally experience what’s known as sleep paralysis. Now I’m no expert, but as I understand it sleep paralysis is what happens when you partially wake up half-way between consciousness and a dream state, so you can’t really move your body much, if at all, and you start to see really weird hallucinations. This has more or less disillusioned me to at least my own personal experience with ghosts, as it just makes too much logical sense, but furthermore I’d also grown up seeing a lot of faith healings in the hyper religious communities I grew up in. It seemed strange to me, however, that whether people put their faith in a specific god, alternative medicine, or meditative practice it didn’t really matter: it was the act of believing itself that seemed to affect the healing, which is something called the placebo effect, which I’m sure many of you have heard of. I could also go into how people I knew who claimed to have prophetic abilities could claim such because of selective reasoning and confirmation bias, but I feel I’ve said enough.
In short, I can’t really bring myself to buy anything supernatural without extraordinary evidence. I’m not going to judge anyone here for doing so, though, as it is a very compelling subject, and I also wouldn’t be opposed to being presented with evidence. If the supernatural has any truth to it, I want to know about it. I’m only interested in the truth.
Thank you. This is a healthy way to view the world. Some people are all too ready and willing to believe in anything and everything. There may well be strange things happening, but best to keep a sceptical mind and use logic and reason, before jumping to outlandish conclusions.
I will say, I find it funny when people explain away things with the placebo effect, like it's no big deal. The fact our mind can change our physiology is freaking amazing! Almost as amazing as if essential oils and crystals actually worked. It is still a bit of a mystery. We know it's real but not how it works. Alas, no need for magic, religion or new age shenanigans, just our brains.

1:02:25 just use VOIP and get someone to patch it into the red phone. You could probably take speaker-out and mic-in and wire them to the handset. Curly-Q cord would be tricky. If you wanted to go more standalone use a Raspberry Pi (in the phone) to run the VOIP and use the audio in/outs to run the mic and speaker. OR you could use a USB to RJ11 adapter and fool the phone into behaving like it's connected. I just full of it today.
I've always thought of death as a type of radiation that's why the fallout is people getting sick or changing around someone that's died. It permeates objects and places and people and changes them and takes time to go away.

I think it's a really strong thoughtform at the very least. I don't think a suicidal soul would want to stick around unless he had a really strong attachment to the house like from growing up in it or something, like you said there's no unfinished business involved with this, but a thoughtform could easily be caused by that person living with depression in that house for a long time. Mulling over really strong negative emotion in an uncleansed space for a long period of time can eventually program a simple but powerful curse into a specific object or location. Tack on the energetic spike from the suicide and it could easily create something particularly... persistent.

It's really fascinating to me how we as a species are willing to go to extreme lengths and create painfully complex objects to better our lives, like mechanical vehicles, computers, satellites, medication that targets specific viruses inside our bodies etc.
We also come up with the most absurd ideas like using the liquefied corpses of dinosaurs as fuel for incredibly complex machines that burn that fuel to move a thingie that moves another thingie that moves some wheels that are made by a synthetic plastic that is incredibly durable, in a metallic thing that is made out of alloys of metal that we invented by mixing up other metals, making those new metals harder and stainless, and we ride inside it and go places really really fast while listening to music playing through a tiny electronic device that stores thousands of songs in it.
But when it comes to something so stupidly simple that even a small child can use, like the uija board, and communicate with the spirits, suddenly crickets.
The police won't use it to find murderers by asking the murder victims who killed them, the judges won't use it as evidence (witness) in the court of law, historians won't use it to find out more about history from people who actually lived during that century, investigators, governments and organisations won't use it to spy on each other using ghosts and so on and so forth... That's so convenient!
Oh don't tell me. It is because it's "dangerous". Like we haven't invented a ton of sciences and developed them in no time, like chemistry, math, physics and so on that were also dangerous. Especially if you consider how much older the occult is compared to the sciences, thus we should have gone further. We created dangerous chemical substances, airplanes that weight tons but fly in the air full of people, nuclear energy that we even weaponised and the list goes on and on...
When it comes to the occult however, we're still beginners as a species. Right? We can't meddle with that.
We put our kids in a vehicle that is filled with a flammable liquid that needs to be burned in order to make the giant heavy thing move, but we never tried to figure out how to safely communicate with spirits, even though you just said all we need is some salt, a prayer and to move our hands in a certain way to make a certain religious symbol and we're good to go.
Or perhaps it could be the simple reason. That it doesn't work.
Do you think people didn't consider planes to be dangerous when the Wright brothers started pitching the idea? Or that they didn't ridicule them because they didn't believe that it would work? Much like we do with the supernatural today?
But less than a century later every country had commercial planes, flying millions of people left and right all over the planet.
Why? Because if it works, no matter how much the inventor gets ridiculed, in the end people will adopt it. Because it actually WORKS. And no matter how dangerous it seems, we find our way around it. Like we did with flying and so many other things. We are inventive like that.
But yeah, all the smarts have been in the occult and doing drugs. The rest of us plebeian non believers need to up our game and fall in line cause we aren't as open minded as the people who throw salt on their floor and "cleanse" their room with scented candles while smoking weed.

If ghosts are 'real' (and what in this world is) they are probably the result of an asymptote (divide by zero error) in a function of Intelligence. Like a black hole is to mass , perhaps a ghost is to emotion; both naturally occuring in the same coordinate time/space scales (reailty). If this is true, it suggests a whole other axis of Cartesian causality.

Actually, plenty of people talk about how the great thinkers are occultists, but they associate it with conspiracy theories and the illuminati/"lucifarianism" which is debatable for obvious reasons. It's actually fun to think about, but suspicion of disbelief is how I choose to view it. Its entertaining, but hard to prove. I am really interested in tarot and symbolism as a tool in everyday life, but am not one to be into ritual. The bath thing you described...is my jam.

The whole "She's a public figure so it's irresponsible to talk about stuff like this" argument is kinda crap Imo. This is HER channel she is going to talk about what interests HER and HER beliefs. People don't have to become these non controversial figures that only ever talk about things that are agreeable and "safe" for everyone once they gain an audience and become a "public figure" if you want to call it that. We are all capable of our own independent thought and a lot of people just like to listen to CBG's opinion and beliefs about stuff, I personally do. She doesn't have to censor herself for some hypothetical group of unstable people it could potentially ""harm"" It's the same argument for when she has talked about drug use.

I think cbg is brilliant at movies and comics analysis. I was interested in this Monday vids but it seems they dont have a lot of objective info splattered with subjective comments, as it is as usual and that doesn't bother me. What she believes is her deal. And she has freedom of speech. But as a subscriber and one with freedom of speech as well I gotta say I'm not liking this and it seems pseudo stuff. My house is a friendly vortex of peculiarities, and I intend to maintain its charm and positivity as long as possible. I always really feel for people who must dwell within uncomfortable homes. I know it's a bit late for such advice, but I would always recommend that anyone who deals with such negativity should try to help any contactable entity or energy move toward a more positive situation, if that makes any sense. Look into some aspects of Shinto in particular, regarding purity and holiness and such.
I really like what you have to say about porous materials. I generally tend to think that the "mostly empty space" that is within everything could, in fact, facilitate some phenomena that we are just not quite able to grasp or understand yet.
