He is better than most RRHOF members. He needs his own wing in the hall with the likes of Allman Brothers, Warren Haynes, Allen Collins, Guthrie Goven, Hendrix, SRV, BB, Robert Cray, Buddy Guy, Albert King, Robert Johnson, Derek Trucks, Clapton, Dickie Betts, the entire band “The Eagles” and Skynyrd and the list goes on and on. You get the idea. In other words; there’s members of the RRHOF and then there’s musical and guitar Royalty. No hall can hold them.

Saw him in St Pete a couple weeks ago and didn’t want the show to end. Can’t wait to see him again live. Nobody out quite like him with his soul, passion and talent all mixed in one.
I always like the acoustic versions ( i.e: tiny desk concerts, etc)better than the studio full band versions. I wish they'd release these as singles, sometimes a talent like this doesn't need to be over produced and including background singers etc.. imo.
sir, i could not agree with u more! ill gladly take a live acoustic performance, & preferably one in a smaller venue, (the smaller the better) like @tiny desk or when an artist goes into a radio station and play a few songs live over the air, etc..ill pick the more intimate organic live unedited performance every single time without fail. i prefer all the live acoustic versions of my favorite songs over any professional studio album version that ive ever heard. the studio versions of most songs tend to sound way to over produced, with way too much distraction going on in the background.... alot of the time they add so much extra nonsence to a track in the studio, and it ends up sounding soo far away from how the artist couldve ever possibly meant for it to sound when they first sat down & wrote it, that it hardly even sounds like the same song at all! and when you DO finally get to hear the artist play it live/acoustic, youre like ahh-ha! so THIS is how the song was actually supposed to have sounded all along. just the way the ARTIST meant for it to sound when they wrote the damn thing. anything more than that just isnt really nessesary...and it only ends up taking away rather than adding something to the experience. at least in my opinion. ✌😉
Bobby Robertson, nailed it. Raw, uncut talent without the studio twist is the best. I agree 100%. No need to dress it up when you got that talent.

Other than bringing one of the next great up and coming artists, in all the interviews that I've seen him in including the questions within this video, Marcus king never says the wrong thing, all his answers is straight forward and amazingly consistent to what's being asked...what a down to earth kinda guy, keep it up bro,

His wealth of knowledge, according to Marcus is his family history foundation that passed wisdom and passion into his young soul, a soul that was like a sponge ready to absorb and boy oh boy did he ever. Guitar skills at his level are only obtained by a blessing of natural ability with Tiger Woods dedication to perfect skills to a new level....hours per day of practice and sharpening his incredible skill. He is a special young man we're blessed to hear and see perform.
There are two types of people, people who listened to Marcus King, and those who are yet to listen to Marcus King. Comparatives are lost on this raw talent, he's quite simply the best there is right now.

Was cleaning and having blues church dancing around the house, and Marcus King stopped me in my tracks.. lovely voice and his guitar playing speaks to my soul...
until this morning...as of about 3 hrs ago, i had never heard of this guy before. & yet somehow, as i sit here in awe of such talent, listening to him sing...i feel his voice & tunes are already burned into my heart & soul forever. in my experience the only thing in this universe with the power to make somebody feel that way is music, & that is straight up magical. i kinda feel like musicians are the ones who weild the power of magic in modern times. like merlin the magician, except with a guitar instead of a wand. just like the band Heart said, "hes a magic man, mama.." lol.

Factologist, he was in Australia earlier this year. Him and his band played at the Northcote Social Club in Melbourne, there was a couple hundred people there... it was a special gig!
