Are you like, tweeting before games? Every single time I open this game, there are literally less than 40 players on. Am I being limited to US servers only, and this game isn't dead in EU? I don't understand how you have so many full games.
@@tristanphillips5995Are you on a next gen platform like Xbox SS or SX, PS5, or PC? Do you have cross play on? I do and play on Xbox SS every day. East coast US/N America. There's tons of full games. Oh and I've played since launch and it's been that way.
the fact that Portal was not finalized, marketed and utilized to its full potential is the biggest disappointement.
lets hope in the future they bring it back for future installment and bring it to its full potential

@wizardbrand1 I think the players are what really made it disappointing tbh. There's so many things you can do that weren't possible before in any other battlefield.
And we technically would have a server browser if the community just made normal modes with custom rotations. But instead everyone just makes 1000% damage "Hardcore" servers or Boosting lobbies

@@patwhw I agree, for a game that only got like 2 years of support it's pretty good. But yeah, its lack of content is pretty noticeable for a WW2 game.
Great to see you playing it with players. TheOzzy and I spent quite a bit of time making this mode. The MCOMs worked great as they provide cover for players, however they also attract the AI so they will play the objective too.

To be fair, the game is pretty dead if you play at night (NA), but seems all right around 9am NA for some reason PST. It must suck to make a game mode like this then dice is finished with the game. learning experience i guess, cheers.
@@KontrolStyle the game mode was made a while ago. It's been on the Community Spotlight more than once. What is different right now is the MCOM objective markings A-H missing bc changes to Portal caused a bug which happens to be a feature for Payload. With some key changes, Portal modes would be the extension 2042 could use to keep players engaged until the next title or possibly move along with Portal into the next title.

i’ve been watching jack for years now and I never understood how and where he finds all of these bot-like enemies in battlefield… when I play they jump/crouch/run/lay down all over the place
Its like going back to bf4 nowadays, you flank someone, they have no ideia you are behind them and the second you shoot your first bullet they already morphed all over the place, made a 360 diving down a hill and killed you in 2 seconds
i find that when you play aggresive like jack plays, the average battlefield player isnt expecting that.

In my experience most of the better players play the main modes mostly.

2142 Goliath tank: it FELT like pushing it forward cos it had external hard points that needed constantly repaired to keep it alive, meaning a good engineer or 3 were able to escort the tank/apc and keep it alive indefinitely with enough effort. Suuuper fun, would've worked well in modern combat setting with an Abrams tbh

I very much agree with you that Portal could have been an amazing thing, even make it free to play as a separate game and have all of the classic battlefield elements in it with satisfying gun play

DICE need in touch on Battlefield 5 'for a while' to added more weapons, vehicles, features, and some improvements including bug fixes. But they left in summer 2019

That Battlefield 5 sound track in the background is just so EPIC. What an EPIC game BFV was. In so many ways it is SO MUCH better than 2042.
Let’s hope Ripple Effect does a great job with this next BF experience (BR). They’re a quality studio with many long veteran BF devs. And let’s hope they expand Portal. They have the talent.

Portal - kinda like _Halo: Forge_ - can really change the game, keep it fresh with updated content & draw in heaps of players, if done right and _launched with_ the game & in _working order._ Hopefully both games' next installments have it ready & working day-one 🙏

When Jack was holding that garage was the first time I was rooting for the enemy team on this channel. I felt so bad for them, they couldn't push the pay load even a little and Jack was successfully holding such cramped position

2142 is one of my favorite BF games, the classes were very customizable and titan mode & assault lines was killer. Though I somehow forgot about the Goliath.

Look. A friend created a 1v1 portal rotation with this map and it’s honestly the most fun this game has ever been. Pls try and do that if you like this game it’s amazing the level of detail and atmosphere when it’s just 1v1 on this map. Noises and tension. The multiplayer games just make it chaotic and unenjoyable.

Man portal was the selling point for me , it was just too exciting to be able to visit the old BF games again with the original wrapons and maps but i don't know why it was never completed.
I just wish that portal stays on and carry for the next BF as i do beileve if done right it will be game changer

I wholeheartedly believe that the community would and will make a better Battlefield game if Portal was completely unlocked and everything was available, this includes everything from previous titles.
The ability to literally create your own Battlefield sandbox would be something that I and many others would pay for: imagine players being able to re-create levels from older titles and then charge for people to join. If someone did this for all BF4 maps I would happily pay a subscription to them.

I wasn't that excited for Portal before release, but after I was pretty interested. I think a big issue is that for the first few months the biggest portal game modes were XP farms and nothing interesting like this game mode. Which... I had a feeling was going to be the case before launch as well.
I have... hope... maybe... that the future games being split between developers means that each developer will be in charge of keeping their section going. Rather than what we had here which was DICE trying to make the base 2042 good, and keeping Portal alive and updated. A lot of overhauling for one studio.

What horizontal FOV are you playing on? It seems very high in my opinion and I usually play on ~100. For some reason BF2042 only lets you select vertical FOV which is different to most other fps games.
a shame we didn't get anymore 1942 vault weapons only the 1911 pistol and only in the last season here did two of the vault weapons get a unique skin

Never be surprised at pre modern BF being good. BF Civil or Revolutionary would be INSANELY atmospheric.
I think those settings may be too controversial nowadays for a BF game, let alone any arcade shooter which tend to take creative liberties in storytelling and historical accuracy. it would be very cool to see though, speaking as a non-american.

Your movie idea of sending a marine unit back to WW2... In the 80's there was a movie called The Final Countdown where a 1980's Aircraft Carrier loaded with F-14s goes through time back to right before Pearl Harbor attack. Kirk Douglas and Martin Sheen star in the movie. Similar to your idea but not exact.
