I prefer Pimsleur, I find each lesson to be much more concentrated and an overall more efficient use of your time. I think a combination of Pimsleur for speaking/listening practice, a basic grammar resource, reading Spanish children's books and writing summaries of them in Spanish, and finally talking to Spanish speakers is the way to go.
Between this and pimsleur, which is best? is there an even better option?
