I’m a homeschool mom, pregnant with #9 right now and really find your channel encouraging and very relatable. I hate how everyone thinks I’m super mom and have it all together just because my kids comb their hair and wear clean, matching clothes and we make it to church on time -ish. I feel like I’m floundering and failing most of the time but you are always encouraging me to lean more on the Lord and brush off the silly comments that others make not knowing how hard yet how blessed this life we have chosen is.

So well said! Yep, I completely relate. Congratulations on your little one. What an incredible blessing!

Yours have their hair brushed and wear matching clothes? Not backwards or inside out or pulled off the floor? 😅 as a fellow mom pregnant with number 9 I'm impressed 😂.
I know what you mean though. When people call me super mom I feel so inadequate. I'm like we are surviving and hopefully our kids feel loved. But I too feel inadequate most of the time.

I love how when you have a large family, you get to be all in as a wife, mom, homemaker and your heart doesnt have to be divided thinking you should do more somewhere else. Most people can imagine you are busy and doing a lot. And yes as you said, its a lot but its rewarding and fulfilling too.

Thank you for your video. I agree that it is so healthy to have a big family. I am an only child and recently found out I'm struggling with CPTSD and all the things they suggest to change in your life to help you, God has provided in my life already through having a big family. Without knowing it, God provided me with six sweet kiddos to heal me from my own childhood trauma, and it is also such a protective factor in my life. I also appreciate your husband saying, if it was easy, everyone would do it... that's really affirming. Sometimes with so much judgement from others on our life choices, I almost feel like i can't complain because I did choose this. Anyways, thank you! You are a Titus 2 woman who i hope to be like someday! Thank you for your encouragement! On a practical note, how do you make time for yourself (showers and daily self care) throughout the day/week? I have all littles, and it's such a challenge.

You are so welcome and thank you for your kind words! Wow, what an encouragement to hear that. I agree, it is a healthy lifestyle!
When they are all little it is harder. When mine were little, we had quiet time and they knew that for that time (at least an hour) they could not come ask me for things unless there was an emergency. They were supposed to read/play quietly, etc.
We still have quiet time even though I have older kids, it just looks different. I go to my room and read/work/play/rest and they know not to disturb unless it is something important.
Getting time to refuel is so important!

This is sweet. I would want a large family, but I am not sure if I could do it. I can barely homeschool with just 3 children, let alone manage the home. My youngest will be a year old soon, and she still doesn't let me do read-alouds or verbalize lessons to my other two. She is always crying when it is time for me to teach the other kids, and she just won't have it. We do what we can during her 20 minute naps, but it just isn’t enough time. It causes us to get really behind in the school year. I just thought things would have gotten easier being past the needy newborn phase by now, but they haven't. My baby is so needy and for some reason hates when I am reading or even talking sometimes. I just can't imagine how you could homeschool all your kids despite being in the baby stage for so long with all of your kids.
I also find it relatable when you mentioned being up late washing dishes. It is 12:45am for me right now, and I finally finished washing the dishes. When the baby is asleep is the only time I can! 😅
I appreciate the honesty about how hard it is. I get so overwhelmed and really needed the encouragement.

Dear Mama, i have 10 kids but i remember feeling so overwhelmed with my first few esp when contemplating homeschooling. Please dont be too hard on yourself or compare yourself to any Mom w more older children. This Mama you see here has a lot ofnhelpers. Its not the same having little babies w none old enough to help. When some can help you are able to do more but when rheyre all little it simply isnt possible and you just do what you can.

Wise words! Yes, so true. Having older children is a different stage altogether. It is hard when they are all little. I talk about this a lot in some of my other videos.
The years with all littles are foundational years. Those were some lonely and challenging years for me...but they go much more quickly than you think they will. In the early years, you are doing a lot of building and working without seeing much fruit. Keep being faithful in your work with your kids. It happens very slowly, but with time, you will start seeing the fruit of your labor and it is so rewarding. Not easier, but rewarding.
Here's a video I did about homeschooling when you have all littles. ruclips.net/video/F9TZ6DbjgqM/видео.htmlsi=nezZpA1XjrOidfry

Thank you so much! I'm sure you can find better advice from others out there, but I can tell you what helps me. I try to pick one thing and be consistent at it...whether it's eating a salad every day or cutting out sugar drinks or whatever the goal is. Focus on one thing that you can do consistently. Doing something regularly, however small, produces a result.
