She also said in that same video that you don't know what you're talking about and that your math is wrong. You are a sweetheart to be so kind to someone who doesn't deserve it.
I just ate an apple. I frequently see people saying we shouldn’t compare ourselves to Foodie, but I find it to be inspirational. So I think my snack came out ahead of Foodie’s and I’m pleased. Btw, I don’t hear you speak about fiber often. I’m curious to hear your thoughts on that - as a fiber junky myself.
I actually feel better about myself moderately overeating for cold season because with my radical weight loss last year I compromised my thermoregulation and my migraines have been very bad. I only gained back like 4.5-5 kgs, 10 lbs, mostly on healthy foods, though I have a lot of swelling occasionally if I eat one nachos bag.
She said that she has several of those bags to satisfy her snacking. Yet she seems to only count the calories of one of them. Like her noodles. She counts the calories on the noodles, but not all the stuff she adds to them. That’s why she didn’t believe the cheese could be 3000 calories. She looks at it like those little baby bells, which are smaller and not fried.
It's cigarette behavior. Lots of gorls do it. They buy these bags of individually wrapped servings with the thought that it's portion control but in their minds it turns into a thrill of opening multiples and eating them all and obsessing and giving in and eating 10. Instead of eating one snickers, they 14 small snickers 10 minutes apart because each one is nothing.
Individual bags or pre proportioned servings CAN be really helpful in counting calories and maintaining a healthy diet and weight. BUT, you gotta be able to use that tool (single servings) properly. There are some things I can buy in bulk that are divided into single servings and not be tempted to overindulge. There are others that I just can’t. Which is why I will occasionally buy a $4 individual brownie that is amazing and worth it to me and not a $4 pack of pre wrapped brownies because that whole pack would be in my belly!
She had at least four packs of the chips with her; two for her, two for him, supposedly. You know she ate several packs at once. She cannot change her mindset about food without therapy.
As always, Sansa, you're right: she buys those huge multi packs and probably won't stop with one. But I thought she wasn't going to talk about calories and weight loss anymore? She's her own worst enemy.
I just love your intelligent and calm way of just stating the facts. And the little shade is very nice too :D And I love it even more when I know it gets under Chantal's skin, and there's nothing she can do about it! Keep up the good work, Sansa!
Her brain is totally fried. This is simple arithmetic that students in primary school are able to solve. Every time she mentions you I smile because I know it's bringing more views and subscribers to your channel! ❤
A small bag of something can usually help with the occasional craving, of course. I think they're much more helpful when you're out and about, doing something else, and you get hit with one of those, "I need a salty snack NOW," cravings and there it is! I like the little packs of mini muffins, because I have a sweet tooth. I think Chantal's biggest issue with food isn't the food itself so much as boredom. She eats much more than a lot of us because she doesn't have a lot to do in the day, so it's the main bit of interest in her life. Once food becomes something you do to pass the time, it's much harder to keep track of what you're eating.
I agree…. Part of it is boredom, part is habit (she has been eating like this for decades) and she also has no discipline. I know if I eat dinner and let the plate with my leftovers stay next to me I will slowly over time eat the rest of the food even though I am not hungry. Foodie likes to have her food right next to here so there isn’t even a chance for her to pause and take stock.
And it's her way to have made and make her money. She can't sit down in front of the camera unless she's eating. The few times she's not she's raging or being miserable in the couple videos
I love how Foodie and Beezer trolls will claim that you exagerate the calorie numbers (i.e the Temu Nashy cheese sticks), when she could simply Google and verify herself. Or fully listen to what you say and not cherry pick sentences. Or I dunno, use the calculator on her phone to figure out the math on the cheese ring question. (00:45) And good lawd gawd, the baby talk when she wants Salad to bring her more food to the trough. 😂 None of that is to disparage your videos. I still love them and it helps me think about what I eat better and with more knowledge (helps me know what to Google too!). It's just to highlight just how incredibly willfully ignorant and willfully lazy Foodie is and will continue to be.
This is an example of immaturity we really don't need ... I am referencing the "to her trough" comment. Why sink to that low level? I like Sansa exactly because she doesn't need to stoop to name calling to make her thoughts.
Another shining example of why you are emerging as one of my favorite reaction channels, (or RUclips channels period). I appreciate all the info you provide in your calm, intelligent way. I wish you could be my “Life Coach”. I sure could use the help. Sincerely, Your Cranky Turtle Viewer in WV ☕️🐢💙💛
Sansa - I just love your videos!! I always learn something and yes - you saved me from myself and I now NO longer want those cheese sticks! Thanks for showing those calories. Please keep doing you because YOU are appreciated by so many of us in this community. Congrats on the 10K - and here's to many more!
I love how kind you are to go over these things , its to bad she won't recognize and take your help. This is why she will continue to fail at tracking in MFP. She doesn't know how to calculate and refuses to ask for help there is nothing wrong with needing help.
Food labeled for the UK/EU lists info for a standard 100 g of a dry product or 100 or 200 ml of liquid. The US FDA required standard serving size is the amount of food that individuals are typically thought to eat during one sitting. (Per NASM Nutrition Coach certification textbook)
Congratulations on the growth! While FB is sure you exaggerate it is interesting that the weight is not just falling off with her calorie deficit, calorie counting diet. Her carb heavy meals continue with nary a green leafy in sight.
Congrats on 10k, Sansa! I love your channel and the way you present information in a non-biased way and as estimated stats, not intended to be exact calculations. And, might I add, you have a very calm and soothing voice. Maybe you could read some eBooks for some extra income. 😉
I've lost weight getting 1 oz bags of chips but I only had them a couple of times a week and I only had one a day. They satisfy cravings without going crazy. Except we know she doesn't have just one.
First, I love your channel. I have been eating healthier and doing Weight Watchers since April and you, through your educational videos, have helped me stop and think, before I just grab something and eat it. I’ve learned so much from you. Secondly, Chantal’s groupies are all insane, especially Teardrop. That name seems appropriate for a follower of hers because it’s all just sad. They claim they care but it appears many just want to make her rage. You keep doing you Sansa because so many of us look forward to your videos. In fact, I hear 10,000 of us do!
Remember those corn snack things she use to eat (& maybe still does)? I never did order them, but I still want to try them... What can I say, I'm a corn girie!!💜🌽
If it satisfied her, it's a good choice. Since it more likely triggered her to eat another packet or eat cheese, it's a terrible choice. Change is possible, she just has to want it, but, nope, she'd rather give in to all her cravings in the name of "binge protection"🙄
If she was truly counting calories she would savor every 100 calories she had! I struggle to keep it below a certain number...I know I cannot buy certain things or I will binge😢 I appreciate all you do Sansa!
In Australia they often put both the serving size and per 100g I like it because it makes it really easy to work out the percentages of the macronutrients, like you can look at it and immediately go it's 60% carbs, 25% fat, 7% protein. Something with that high carb I would have probably avoided
Hey Sansa, I wanted to give you and calorie/carb counting methodology, some big kudos. I’ve actually been doing a health journey (I dislike that term but it is what it is) for just over a year now. I have been doing very well myself. Mostly by being aware of carbs per meal. I’m a T2 and wanted to see how much I can improve my HbA1c and I knew by reasonably limiting carbs I would lose weight also. But in these last 4-5 months since I found your channel, I decided to weight and count. I didn’t before because I thought oh it’s often inaccurate. But watching you do it made me realize that I don’t have to count perfectly, I just had to be close and be honest. On my own, first 6 months I got my A1C from 6.8 to 6.1. BMI dropped 4 point. Then last 6 months with the end of that period being the Sansa method, 6.1 to an amazing 5.5. My BMI is now 26.3. And within that year I dropped 1 diabetes med and I am about to drop a 2nd one. Your channel is a very very valuable resource both physically and mentally. Keep up the good work. I know this may not work for everyone because everyone’s diabetes journey is different but so far it worked for me, and I am working on continuing to do the good work.
Them telling you how innacurate your math is is so funny when you realize the average numeracy for adults is really low. I suggest you go give it a quick search to see for yourself how shocking the statistics really are.
Usually yes, the packaging indicates kcal/kJ per 100 grams of product, as well as the total weight of the product. The number of calories per serving is relatively rare. I am currently looking at a 0.5 kg bag of spicy biscuits, which shows nutritional information for 100 g of biscuits. A serving could be 3-4 biscuits, but they differ in shape, and therefore also in weight. This is our Christmas treat, and they are truly caloric - crispy, fatty and sweet. They are also often decorated with sugar icing.
@@NelliG22 In this case, the American approach is not bad at all, because people do not always convert calories from 100 g to one serving. It is not rocket science, but humans are lazy beings. It is just not always possible to determine exactly how many g or how many pieces are in one serving for each food, like with our biscuits.
I'm surprised that Chantal didn't realise her mistake, I thought "Best Buy" was common knowledge but maybe that's just a UK thing. Also I hope those cheese rings aren't made by the same brand that I used to buy because man those things were addicting, you really couldn't stop with just one. Great analysis as always 👍and well done for the 10k
In the grand scheme of things, it is a good choice for what it is. It will never be the same as having a veggie tray with no dip, but it is a good decision and a small change she can easily make.
Oof! Ye caught me, yet again, me darlin', on one of them nights that I'm not sleeping too well! So, I dragged me sorry butt outta bed, to muck about on the "Toob," for a bit, 'til I feel tired enough to sleep! 😂 😖 And then...this happened. What the hell is wrong with her? (Mmm 'kay, scratch that, after all, it's a rhetorical question.) In Australia, all snack food items have nutritional information listed on the package. It lists the numbers per 100 grams, and the numbers for one serving (which is specific to each product, of course,) so you can easily compare them with other foods. It's not bloody rocket science! I don't understand how she doesn't get it! Blimey...🙄🙄🙄 When it comes to all the other nonsense, well, I'll say it, once again, it doesn't take a genius to work out who's the smartest gal in the room! 😏 Cheers, my friend. 💖💖💖
pro tip: if the bag has a clumsy weight (like 22 grams) and they only provide nutritional values for 100 grams, you dont need to pull out a napkin to divide down to 1 and then back up to 100. most of the numbers will be within margin to an easy fraction, for example 22g. -> 20 or 25 /100 being 1/5 or 1/4. so you can just divide the calories or macros by 4 and get the amount. it's not exact, but very few people on earth need to know the absolute correct amount of calories they consume. your diet won't fail because you had 1632 cal today instead of 1600 that you were trying to hit. People often overcomplicate calorie tracking and burn out. the key is that you are staying around that 1600 or 1800 or 2000 mark instead of going for 5k all the time.
Its always funny to me when she dismisses your numbers and then makes it crystal clear that, the only metric she uses, is disbelief. She wants to eat it so, theres no way its THAT bad. Girl, look it up. Its not that hard. Im looking at you, strawberries and cream.
I am glad you mentioned restaurants don't think about us. Thats what makes me watch you. A lot of your haters maybe love to eat out and then forget nutrition.
One of her problems is portion size. More than once she has mentioned how small the bags are. This lets her justify eating 2, 3 or more. Keep doing what you're doing. Even if the info is wasted on her it's helpful to so many.
I think basic math education is lacking if people cannot understand simple percentages and fractions. I also think Chantal almost certainly ate more than one bag of chips, as she’s got no willpower. Why does she buy the junk food for the house when she knows she cannot control herself? That’s just setting herself up for failure, and it doesn’t have to be that way.
I think it's a decent choice only if she actually stuck to one bag. We know she has zero self control and if there are more she will want more and what she wants she gets because it's become the dreaded "food noise" which she cannot fight off because she has no hobbies or interests to divert her attention when it gets too loud.
I think counting calories is a great way to track your intake..but…when you start having health concerns like high blood pressure and diabetes, you need to look beyond the calories. She still doesn’t quite get that after all the health arcs.
Sansa you're the most graceful and informative reaction channel in gorlworld. You never throw names even if someone else does it to you. People just wanna drag you into the mud
If you've ever tried tofu, I love simple baked tofu or adding it to soups and stir fries. Lentils are good, and if you have an international grocery store near you, there is a dehydrated soy protein that you can buy. Look it up--kind of looks like shredded chicken jerky or little granola bits. Those are good if you re-hydrate them and put them in something with a sauce like chili, spaghetti sauce, or birria.
You are one of the most constructive reactors in the history of gorlworld, it's a perspective that helps everyone, and acting like you're some obsessed freak is a laugh. Looking up nutritional info on food is a normal life activity. Especially if you have, don't want, or live with someone who has diabetes.
I am happy Chantal's commenters are regular viewers of your's! I watch you both, and you have really taught me some things in an adult way. To be fair, you DID use a calculator and chart to figure the macros for the chips, while Chantal was sitting in the empty pool room just winging it. And she did get it close. I just ask you to not let them goad you into turning ugly. Just stay professional.
I'm terrible at math, so if I can't properly sit down & work it out I take the weight to the nearest thing I CAN calculate in my head, rounding up as needed. So the 22g I would have made it 25g in my head, simple to calculate - just divide the 100g calories by 4. It would have been a bit over the actual amount of calories, but good enough to get an indication of what I'm putting in my mouth. But it's really not rocket science.
I now am much more careful with reading the ingredients after I started following you. Strawberries and Cream cannot be taken into consideration as she thinks that everything Foodie does is perfect 😍
What I think about this snack (or any of them she eats) is the fact she sadly is fortunate enough to have other options but never uses any of them....healthy options, access to any food she wants, but yet CHOOSES to eat the junk food....how about a boiled egg/handfull of nuts/apple slices/celery with lowfat cream cheese/lowfat low sugar high protein yogurt with 1/4 cup granola/Tuna or chicken salad on a COUPLE wholegrain crackers....soooo many things but she goes for the fat/salt/sugar and convenience, you know a person is truly....TRULY lazy as heck when they ask another person ONLINE to "bring them a diet soda babe" and then whines like a baby because she thinks he thinks it's cute....as Alanis Morissette sang "Isn't it ironic".....
She also said in that same video that you don't know what you're talking about and that your math is wrong. You are a sweetheart to be so kind to someone who doesn't deserve it.
@@FelonHardtimes it's easy when you know you're just repeating hard data.
She is so quick to be dismissive. I’m glad you addressed this and explained it to her like she was a two year old.
Thank you so much. Math definitely isn't her strong suit.
"500 calories so divide that by 22" And she's saying your videos are innacurate? 😂
🤭🤭🤭
Then the I forgot. To forget something you have to know it first. Lol
Love that you clapped back with facts! 😅🙌
🤓🤓🤓
You're asking for it now Sansa! How DARE you answer Foodie's question with the truth?🤭🤭🤭
🤭🤭🤭
At least Sansa's given up crack (I think) 😁

That's amazing!!!!! Thank you so much for sharing your progress.
@@SansaCooks Thanks for your help. As you may have guessed, I’m pretty excited.
Them telling you how innacurate your math is is so funny when you realize the average numeracy for adults is really low. I suggest you go give it a quick search to see for yourself how shocking the statistics really are.
I'll look that up!
Calories per serving is a US labeling requirement for food/drink. As per usual, the rest of the world does things more logically than we do :)
@@NelliG22 In this case, the American approach is not bad at all, because people do not always convert calories from 100 g to one serving. It is not rocket science, but humans are lazy beings. It is just not always possible to determine exactly how many g or how many pieces are in one serving for each food, like with our biscuits.
calories per serving/calories per package is the norm in all of North America, not just the US, and it is much more logical than an arbitrary 100g
They sound lovely! In the States, it's usually the whole package, then for a serving size.
Thank you so much!
In the grand scheme of things, it is a good choice for what it is. It will never be the same as having a veggie tray with no dip, but it is a good decision and a small change she can easily make.
Very true!
The comments from outer space……are consistent with what their leader thinks.
She doesn't think. Only makes up 💩 to fit her narrative for that second/minute.
🤭🤭🤭
Oof! Ye caught me, yet again, me darlin', on one of them nights that I'm not sleeping too well! So, I dragged me sorry butt outta bed, to muck about on the "Toob," for a bit, 'til I feel tired enough to sleep! 😂 😖
And then...this happened.
What the hell is wrong with her? (Mmm 'kay, scratch that, after all, it's a rhetorical question.)
In Australia, all snack food items have nutritional information listed on the package. It lists the numbers per 100 grams, and the numbers for one serving (which is specific to each product, of course,) so you can easily compare them with other foods.
It's not bloody rocket science! I don't understand how she doesn't get it! Blimey...🙄🙄🙄
When it comes to all the other nonsense, well, I'll say it, once again, it doesn't take a genius to work out who's the smartest gal in the room! 😏
Cheers, my friend. 💖💖💖
🤭🤭🤭
I’ve never had a whopper 😂
Fair enough!
@@SansaCooks Life is good 😌 I don’t need no whopper 😂
If she eats only one
💯
Not a good choice, but I'd definitely eat them!
The real question is, how many did she eat at one sitting 😅
Very true!
pro tip: if the bag has a clumsy weight (like 22 grams) and they only provide nutritional values for 100 grams, you dont need to pull out a napkin to divide down to 1 and then back up to 100. most of the numbers will be within margin to an easy fraction, for example 22g.
Great point--I was going to say just move the decimal point 2 to the left but I didn't want to confuse her.
Its always funny to me when she dismisses your numbers and then makes it crystal clear that, the only metric she uses, is disbelief. She wants to eat it so, theres no way its THAT bad. Girl, look it up. Its not that hard. Im looking at you, strawberries and cream.
Great point!
I honestly think she won't eat one bag. 😂 I think like 3. Look at all the chips. They are gone.
I am glad you mentioned restaurants don't think about us. Thats what makes me watch you. A lot of your haters maybe love to eat out and then forget nutrition.
It really shocks me sometimes when I look up restaurant meals.
One of her problems is portion size. More than once she has mentioned how small the bags are. This lets her justify eating 2, 3 or more.
Keep doing what you're doing. Even if the info is wasted on her it's helpful to so many.
I hope so!
I completely agree.
I love 💕 your videos.
Thank you!
She’s a skinny queen. She’s bulking for winter
How hard is it to approximate 1/5th of 500.
Exactly right!
0:48 what in the hell was that?
She's feeling cute.
Sansa you're the most graceful and informative reaction channel in gorlworld. You never throw names even if someone else does it to you. People just wanna drag you into the mud
Thank you so much!
Good morning Sensa ❤❤
Good morning!
Erm...I don't mean to be rude, but it's "SAnsa," darl'. Cheers. 💖
Sansa do you have any recommendations for someone who needs a high protein diet but cant afford alot of meat. Thank you!
The UNK Factors ate today…
no pun intended.
Thank you!
These 108 calories are completely empty. I have protein brownies that are 220 and pack 19g of protein and low sugar. She just doesn’t get it.
@@LisaManning765 Oh please tell me what brand this is!!
💯
Hi Sansa, the snack would be okay but Foodie has already admitted to eating more than 1 bag. 🤷♂️
True!
I mean, the cheese rings aren’t too bad.
If you just eat one...
You also show recipes and travel. FB could never
You are one of the most constructive reactors in the history of gorlworld, it's a perspective that helps everyone, and acting like you're some obsessed freak is a laugh. Looking up nutritional info on food is a normal life activity. Especially if you have, don't want, or live with someone who has diabetes.
Thank you so much!
Everything Foodie eats aren't good choices 😂 Love your content Sansa 💗🌺
Thank you!!
I'm so glad you find the information helpful!
