I just watched your ATM 8 Speedrun yesterday and here we are with a new speedrun! Can't wait to finish this video while playing ATM9 and It's going to be exciting to see how you do things in this run since alot of stuff has nerfed since your run I guess, like the /back command and other stuff.
Been having this on in the background while I play games. Must say, love the commentary explaining everything you're doing! It's really helpful for my own playthrough.
I gotta tell you, your videos, especially these speed runs, help me out so much in how to setup and run these packs. Im creating my own and your play throughs help me so much. Thank you for your amazing work.

I love long speed runs. Like they are my favorite. Its ridiculous how fun it is to watch someone master a craft and blitz though it. All the mods is really fun, the idea of someone speedruning all advancements is really fun. Completeing every achievement in a game is normally a fantastic run to watch. Take borderlands 3. Even with the perfect luck/weapons/build. Its a 17 hour run for all achievements thanks to the dlc.

ngl im brazilian and i finally got a good pc on early april, then i finally could start playing all the mods. since i started my journey in the modpack, i saw some quests with your name in it and now that im seeing this entire vid i know for sure: that man alfredgg changed by himself the future of some stuff in the modpack. its insane how a lot of things changed because of what you've done in your speedruns and you still got a quest with your name like damnnn. love from brasil man

I'm doing a long slow playthrough cause of you and just got my first allthemodium piece after letting mystical agriculture run for days but learned one of my favorite power gen mods is in this so I will use advanced generators if it will still do the same it did back in 12.2

For speedrunning, the Occultism mod + refined storage may be a faster solution than using drawers. The occultism storage is a one and done setup solution and you don't really have to worry about upgrading it past the first upgrade. Also can access it from any dimension and it doesn't consume any power.
I really need to try Occultism. It definitely is slept on!

For future reference: You don't need to delete your old patterns from Refined Storage. Hold them in your hand and Shift-Right Click to clear the stored pattern.

Dude ur amazing i wonder if u have some kind off sheet in which direction u finish all this stuff cause i always struggle to get the atm star cause i just get lost and bored from to many learning mods allthough i got pretty good from pack to pack with some but i never come to the star and i want it so bad xD thats why i hope to find some strategys in your run your great man ^^

Congrats on the WR! I'm early in the video, but it would be worth looking into the GregTech ores.
For example, cassiterite ore smelts directly in furnaces into Tin, Chalcopyrite into Copper.
It can only be doubled through GregTech processing though, and of course it's more inventory clutter (nothing a dank/backpack can't solve).. but it could be useful to get more out of mining trips.
I personaly think, Greg Tech isn't the best Way for Ore Processing in an Speedrun Gameplay.
Because Greg Tech simply needs too many small production steps until you have a reasonable and proper ore processing and is unfortunately designed so that the machines from Greg Tech are very slow. And if the Community Edition of Greg Tech is installed on ATM 9, then it's even less worthwhile. As this is designed for hardcore grind.
With Mekanism, for example, you are better and faster off with ore tripling and quadrupling.
I'm not saying it's the best way. Just that you can get bonus ores if you happen to see cassiterite, chalcopyrite etc. Because as I said.. they can be smelted directly, no further processing required.

I don't know if it's really worth it, if the chance of getting an extra Ore from a (Greg Tech) Vein is only 2-5%. Then I'd rather save the space in my inventory/dank/backpack for important things than clutter it up with unimportant possible bonus Ores

On the villagers front, you don't need to wait for them to drop their profs, you can use the trader with any station inside to change them. Making this comment when you first got them, so if you figured that out, kudos!

You can clearly see his short term memory capacity deteriorate after a certain amount of hours. He has so much knowledge, but his mind is so tired that it can’t keep up and it’s not as efficient as the start of the run.
initially a part of me disliked shaders and tunnel mining, but then I saw that this is a 27 hour speedrun and realize how much worse this would be without that and all of those feelings went away
Time to get watching, must watch it all
I use signalum ingots to repair my enderium pick. 1 - you need signalum for tool rod either way, if you're going to keep using silent picks. 2 - it is cheap. like, coper+redstone.
If I could make a suggestion for your tool setup for future runs. Make a Signalum tool rod for your pickaxe/axe. It's simple to make (copper, silver, redstone) and will give you getting mining speed compared to wood. Also glowstone/ refined glowstone tool tip for faster mining speed.

Hi Alfred, that method to remove enchantments from the Vengenance Pickaxe with the anvil does not work in no frills? Tried everything and cant make it work.
Edit: Got it to work, just put the mod in the no frills edition.

insane early game furnace tip:
rush create water wheel + encased fan with lava, it can smelt several stacks of material at the same time incredibly fast, just throw the materials (ores, stone, sand, etc.) in front of the fan and wait for the magic to happen

hey my dude :) you can enchant those crystals for the inferium upgrades with unbreaking and they will last significantly longer
TIP: Strong hold has thousands of books
I recommend making a rf tools storage scanner after 1st mining and an ender pearl as it can see all your items and save tou time going thru chest looking for stuff
Btw for future reference you can craft enchanted books in the enchanter using book and quills lapis and some other sort of material

platinum is really good for the doubling hammer. It has 2-4x the durability of copper, and platinum is plentiful

putting an auto-eat upgrade in your backpack might save a bit of time
just started playing atm9 yesterday and I haven't played many mc mods at all, I have been looking up guides and they all seem so complicated but its cool seeing someone who knows whats going on do things from the ground up, also I am wondering if there are like tier lists of all the items or ores maybe in the game? like one, where to find ores at z level wise and also what is better than what because I only know the core minecraft tiers with diamond then netherite at the top for pretty much everything but now that there are so many more options i just have no idea
In the modpack you can type in the ore you want to find and look through all the different ways it can be crafted at the top and keep scrolling till you see an earth and it will tell you where its normally found.
I know this is an older video but a tip for looking through enchanted books is to use the # in the search bar, it will filter whats in the extra text like #looting or #vorpal it makes it soooo nice when doing big enchant sessions!

This was added in a later update! When I did the run, this version was the only available that wouldn't crash. lol
alfred have you seen the theurgy mod? one debris = one netherite ingot with some setup and renewable resources. it also has divining rods
I've only watched Chosen play with it a little, and I felt it wasn't worth researching as much. I might look into it!
When doing the apothosis enchanting you can save time searching using the JEI bar and #enchantname like #looting
Nuclear power from Powah is the best energy generator. Thermo is nothing in comparison, you build 4 of the max ones and you have millions of RF/s.
How are you smelting glass normally, did you remove greg tech? Please lmk.

You can also craft the spawner agitator for iron nugget and compressed iron ingots
I learn this later in the run, but something happens with them...
what was your purpose for the drawers and compacting drawers? is it to have storage?
Instead of making a ton of disks for storage, the drawers serve as an almost infinite disk instead.

Why dont you use the 1x2 compacting drawer for melon power?
I feel like having the crafting upgrade in the backpack would greatly reduce inventory management

I’ve found that ultimine and oregano excavation will get all the blocks of ore if you do the deep slate version as the primary block but if you do the stone variant it won’t touch the deep slate version….. as to why I haven’t a clue.

Is it bad that i burst for invar tools out of the gate with copper tool rods
Also instead of making all the compact stuff you can put multiple stack upgrades on the sophisticated storage/backpack. I think diamond upgrades multiplies maximum stacks by 16. So 64*16*16*16*16 if you have 4 stack upgrades which is about 4 million of each block
And then put external storage on it so you can acces from refined storage
I've thought about this method a lot I think this could work

how did you put the right amount of items for specific crafts (example: crafting 11 things without putting 11 things individually without having to put 11 things in crafting table individually, but with just 1 click) sorry if my question dont make sense but i just noticed it during the start of your speedrun thanks!
Normally I shift click the + button on the recipe in JEI. Is that what you mean?

What hotkey is it to open the back pack or do you need to set one
Usually it's 'B'. But you may have to set it if that doesn't work.
Hey I'm not getting those spawners in the caves like you. I even checked your seed and the terrain generation is equal (except gregtech ores) but the Chest+spawner+random block on top things are not generating for me.
Do you know which mod adds that? And is it intentionally removed from the pack?
That is from Apotheosis! I did this version on 0.2.35 because the only version that was out at the time was 0.2.36, and it caused a ton of lag issues when generating the world. I don't know if it's been nerfed.
@@AlfredGGMC Hey thanks! I did find a couple since yesterday, may have been nerfed indeed. Or maybe their position is not tied to the seed and I just got unlucky.
The dimensional storage mod would help out in not needing leather for the ender chests.
I dare you to complete this in hardcore mode. That would be very interesting to watch

I've been playing the ATM 9 No Frills and I was trying to do the anvil thing with the Vengeance pickaxes and I guess it was removed for the No Frills part. I don't know what mod or plug in that it is either.
That's Super Factory Manager that does it.
Amazing how during his struggle with allthemodium ore he found a block of deepslate emerald, which is THE rarest block in vanilla minecraft

I only play modded, and I hardly ever mess with villagers. I actually don't know a lot of vanilla mechanics lol
