Thank you so much for doing this - I will try this with my XF400 cameras, I was not aware they could do that, I am usually feeding them into one of ATEM switchers (which I have three), but I really hate Canon for using miniHDMI on aľ their camcorders XA/XF (apart from the few top models)

thank you so much, I got it worked on my xf605! But about 2 Sec delay is a no go for me, if I am working with multiple cameras and atem switchers. Nevertheless it is nice to have this function, if I will be using just a one cam...

So I tried it. 😅 Yeah it works - over ethernet. Sadly, it does not work in Wifi mode. The most unfortunate thing is not the big lag or the forced interlaced mode (why, in 2023, why??)but the inability to have two cameras streaming simultaneously. I tried both UDP and RTP, changing cameras to different ports, but it is either one or the other, so that is a bummer.
So the only possible use for me is a situation, where I need one camera somewhere far away from the main stage, so far, it is not possible to reach with optical HDMI or SDI cable, bringing it in through OBS, while the rest goes into OBS through a switcher.
Still - a HDMI to UDP adapter seems like a much more viable option for such job, with a higher bandwith and progressive mode support, so this option is really some sort of last resort …

Why can't a livestreamer connect this camcorder directly to a PC or laptop with an Ethernet port?
