I usually stop watching bus videos after the build is finished and the driving around starts. But, technically you're not done building so I can keep watching. Which is nice because your tour vids have been very enjoyable. You have a ton of unexplored places similar to where you are in the west, so you're not apt to lose that sense of wonderment for a while!
Thanks for the video. First, about the Honda Monkey…Best choice ever!! Second, about your riding… you’re doing GREAT! May I suggest you get bike riding gear for protection, especially gloves because if you have a slip, your instinct is to catch yourself with your hands, and please be sure your glasses are impact resistant and won’t shatter if they are hit by a rock from the road. Keep up the good work and take care.
I think you have validated to yourself that bus life is giving you a whole range of emotions all in the space of a week. So great to see you embracing the bus life and all it gives. Stay safe J.
I love that when you are unsure of something, you just go for it any way. You definitely have a new follower. Stay safe.
Suggestion: If you ever decide to get an e-bike in the future to save on fuel cost so you can use for re-supplying things, etc. All you need to do is mount a milk crate to the front of the e-bike and it's good to go, when you're done shopping, stuff all the food, etc in the milk crate and head back to your bus or wherever. And if you have solar or Anker solax c1000, for example, you can you use that to charge your e-bike and not worry about the rising fuel cost. Maybe even sell your motorcycle too. Hope it helps.
The good life. Just beautiful. Glad you are happy.
I am so used to seeing your bus in the construction phase, and now it looks so much more like a tiny home that I don't notice all of the projects that we're so used to seeing each week... cool.
Also, it's nice to see that all of your hard work is paying off with the fun that your are having so soon along your road journey.
And you look so happy! Cheers!
How you managed to not wipe out on that gravel and ruts is amazing then on to the steep very steep trail to the water while filming it all, you knocked it out of the park not to mention the same with the bathing suit footage, thank you Emma..
Great video. Few motorcycle tips. Stay off the edge where the heavy gravel is pushed too. Stand up on your bike going thru rough areas.
Awesome place Emma.. by the way you look so cute driving the little bike.. the helmet you have is very retro! It fits your personality! So does the bike to be honest.. Nice to see you grow into the lifestyle you chosen.. Cheers from Missouri..
Something that could work great for getting groceries with the motorbike is a fold down trailer for a pedal bike. Usually can find them for around $160-$170 USD.
To boldly go where Emma, Birby and know one has gone before.
Just saw you and your bus cross the Idaho/Washington stateline. You looked so in control of that freaking bus. Welcome to the PNW. Enjoy.
Stunning scenery! Wonderful rivers. Enjoyed this very much.
I love your bus and have watched you from the beginning and now that you are on the road I believe your viewers will increase...!
Get a small electric winch to mount to the bike rack. You can use a wireless remote when using it to load the bike.
Love the video
You are getting more skilled on the bike.
Wonderful to see You enjoying life.
Don't forget to get some bug spray when You go shopping (just saying) plus a little bit of padding between your back and the shopping will make it much better.
Love and Blessings to You and Yours
PS: Thank You for sharing.
I don't know if anyone else has suggested it yet but if you are planning on using your bike to get to towns and such for shopping like in this video, it might be a good idea to put a basket of some sort on the front or back to haul things in. Keep on exploring, keep on discovering!
Hey Emma,
Brilliant video! You're so funny! Glad you had fun with your friends and what a fantastic place you are there! Some amazing smaller places off the beaten track! Idillic!
Bus looks great now and you're looking really well too! 😉👍
Your bike skills are coming along nicely! 😁 Loving following your bus build and now your Van life adventure!
Have a great week in the sunshine!☀️ Looking forward to the next video! Cheers from London 😎🏴
PLEASE do a video on your motorcycle rack/hauling system and how you load and unload it. Another great video.
Thanks 😎
So great! Careful on those dirt, sand and gravel roads. Doesnt take much and your rear wheel to slide right out from under you on a turn. You are doing the right thing taking it slow. LOOKS AMAZING... this is what dreams are made of!
I clicked on one of you videos because of your little motorcycle. I too have an obsession with motorcycles. Obsession can become addiction. Ask me how I know. lol Anyway, your videos are so fun so you have a new subscriber now. I love what you're doing. I've not traveled the country in a bus, but I have been able to ride all the lower 48 states on my motorcycle, which has been a lot of fun too. All the best to you and I look forward to seeing more of your adventures
So nice to see you relaxed and lovin.......enjoy mightily this extraordinary life....
Nice to see your out boondocking, and your getting better at riding your bike.It 's good to have friends come buy an make it better.
Really enjoying your videos. Make sure you have plenty of fuel in your bike. Be careful on them dirt tracks. Love the places you have explored. So so jealous. I'm glad your spirits are high. Keep an eye on them stronger currents in the river and keep safe x
I’m a new subscriber and love Ur bus build and Ur personality adds to the fun of watching 😎🤩. So glad U are taking on this challenge and riding the motorcycle!!! I Love everything on motorized wheels 😜. Stay safe and glad that I found Ur channel. U make me laugh 😂 😂😂
Congrats! You are doing it!! So cool to see you riding the motorcycle!! Such awesome places to explore! SO COOL!!Thank you for sharing. A surprise for all of us!! GO!
So glad you're enjoying yourself.
Emma the monkey is a great bike to get to the places you think you cant get to. Itdoes have limitations. You did great with that hill.so proud of your growth over just a few days you can concur anything. Love the vids stay safe girl
Never noticed before but LOVE THE HELMUT!
Great little camp site you found Emma and you and your bike did a great job on the hill, Awesome! ✌🏻
Hi Emma. I I just finished watching all of your videos from the beginning. I have to say I have really enjoyed them all. You have a real talent for talking to the camera. Like we are just there hanging out with you. You come across as very authentic. I also wanted to say that after watching all of the videos in a relatively short amount of time that I think your channel may not be as much about building the bus as it is about building yourself. The transformation over the year was quite noticeable to me. Anyway. I just wanted to say hello and I really enjoy your channel. I'm glad to have the opportunity to learn bits and pieces about your life and I'm looking forward to more of your videos.
Always believe in yourself and keep doing what you love ⛅
While the Monkey is a great bike, you might consider looking into bigger adventure bikes at some point down the line. They can get you (and some basic camping gear) into some really cool places that no camper can get to.
Then again, you can also load up the Monkey with enough stuff to camp.
One other thing you might want to get for your Honda Monkey is an engine guard or "crash bar". This way if you ever drop the bike again you won't necessarily damage anything. Plus they look pretty cool.
Hey Kiddo, watching you cruise around on your motorbike it occurred to me someday you're going to find some sand. And it's different.
SAND : will push your front wheel to and fro. Keep your back and your balance steady and go with the flow. Let your handlebars wiggle as they may. Don't force them or you'll stuff it. It's a different kind of control but you will pick up on it pretty quick.
Great Video. Keep on exploring Emma 👍
The motorcycle you chose is perfect and adds so much. Nice to see you get a happy summer time with your friends beginning the venture.
Hi Emma,
I live on a narrowboat in the U.K. and also have a Honda monkey bike that I keep on the boat and use for sight seeing grocery getting etc.
For grocery getting I have a large rucksack and do a weekly shop. I fill it to the top and yes it is heavy.
When I get back on the bike I loosen the shoulder straps slightly and let the weight of the rucksack rest on the seat behind me. It makes the ride back from the supermarket totally bearable.
I find this a much better way to carry a load than strapping it on the back of the bike and worrying it’s come off every time I hit a bump.
I’ve been riding motorcycles in the summer in t shirts and shorts for forty years.
I couldn’t care less what people think or say, I love it.
Great video and have fun with your adventures
Regards Warren 🇬🇧
Emma, my how you've changed. i haven't watched for about 6 months, the build was just to crazy. 1 of your vids showed up in my feed today, even though i've been subscribed since you painted Birbie. i immediately had the thought, how's she doing?
i spent part of the day and most of this evening getting caught up. i kept watching because of the delightful changes i kept seeing in you and the progress i saw in your build and more importantly your attitude towards the build. Great job on yourself and the bus, truly amazing!!! seeya somewhere down the road. keeno
Happy to see you on your way!
"du siehst hinreißend aus mit deinem helm auf deinem motorrad"⚘
😊👍🏍🎻🎶
LOL, "That changes how much I like this place"....... That cracked me up
You should see if you can get a bracket for your bike to hold a milk crate for getting supplies. I hope you check with the local park rangers before adventuring off by yourself to see if there's mountain lions or what other wild life in the area. If you watched some of these other RUclipsrs you probably wouldn't leave your bus in those hills. Just take care of yourself and always think.
It not how fast , but experiencing the journey.
You are so awesome and inspire me to finish my rig to start my new journey! Morning dunks are a thing and are super refreshing in many ways. keep it up Emma the country has many amazing places to visit.
You look happy. I'm glad 😊
Wow I'm loving your Videos
Great video. Looked very fun
You seem well suited for bus life. It looks good on you, specifically the look of pure joy on your face at the top of that hill. Good job making it magical.
ggggreat to see tiny dog again. and look at you ripping and running up and down hills and flying down dirt and gravel roads on that little monkey. honestly your smile and happiness is contagious . sending love from Ky.
Hi Emma, I'm so glad you're having fun you seem like your not as stressed. I'm very proud of you and the bus looks great all cleaned up, It looks like a home. I wish I could make you some curtains with blackout and some sort of insulation in them. If you are near a Big Lots store they have SUPER cheap insulated, blackout curtains there. You should get some and put them on every window and make a curtain to shut off the front area, and I would put a curtain where your bedroom is. I'm truly not telling you how to decorate your home but if it were mine that's what I would do.Maybe I will donate curtain money ☺️I still worry about your safety that's why I keep talking curtains for you. I like my privacy and I like a cozy feeling home and I think curtains go a long way in doing that. Be safe, have fun and I will
continue to keep you in my
prayers. Love Connie,
from Ohio
They make side racks and a rear rack so you can mount saddle bags onto so you can carry stuff in the saddle bags
Great video, thank you for sharing your awesome 4th of July activities at the lake. Congratulations on fixing the water pump. You have this. Don't be afraid to ask for assistance from other traveling people. Brave person you are to use white cooking pans. Love the exploring and you have really got the Monkey by the handle bars. I am amazed at all the work you RUclipsrs have to do to get a video edited and posted. Such choices for spots.
So glad you were able to have some fun with friends. Maybe you need to get saddle bags for your motorcycle. I have a motorized bicycle I got saddle bags for off Amazon. Saved my back.
Look into finding a set of throw over saddle bags for your cycle so you can carry stuff easier...
You look so happy! It's really cute! 💗
Looks like fun.The monkey looks real fun.
Refreshing ☺️
Enjoy ❤️
You’ve inspired me. Now I want to take my Monkey on adventures as well. I feel so free when I’m on my motorcycle.
All you need to do laundry off grid on the road like that is a 5 gallon pail add water add laundry soap add dirty clothes and then have a laundry Stomper you can probably find one or just something to agitate your clothes and then dump out the dirty water add clean rinse Water Rinse them out wring them out and hang them up....you'll have to make the next one an overlander
Load up the bucket with laundry, water, & soap. Seal top. Mount up front next to motorcycle. Drive to next destination. Cleanest clothes ever !
Just a vibe. See where you are next week.
nice to see you having fun on your travels
The bravery!
Hi Emma, Always nice to see you smiling and having fun, especially on the monkey bike! Glad you got a helmet too. Thanks for sharing your time with us. Bye 👋🏽🙏🏽👍🏽💛🇨🇱
I really enjoy your videos you do well at anything you do I've been watching you since day one of your best build you're really amazing
That is such a beautiful spot that you picked out there
Glad you had your friends come for a visit, Emma. I'm sure y'all had fun(dogs too)! That cold water will wake you up with a rush, and make you go back for more. You're getting a lot better at riding your "Monkey", fun ain't it?! Happy for you. You have worked hard to be where you are, ENJOY THE FRUITS OF YOUR LABOR!!!
🎻 😉 🎻 😉 🎻🚃 🎻👍 🎻
That Monkey was an inspired choice. Perfect for you, and you’ve proven both of you are actually off-road capable. Ride safe.
Peace
I just found your channel and watched a couple of videos and subscribed 👍
I love the way you travel very cool remember I'm out traveling doing the same thing but I'm in a 36 ft motorhome pulling a car on a totally so I know what it is to find a big enough spot that I fit
You are crushing it! The smile on your face when you were riding your motorcycle says it all! Adventure awaits!
Damn, best video yet- for all kinds of reasons!!
I love the dogs you have
Birbie the Adventure Bus!
How do you fail toasts?! Seriously, I'm curious..
I don't know how you feel about it, but I still think the skylight is a highlight of your build. Once you get trimming and a more permanent shade solution, I bet you'll just love it. It looks super good.
What an amazing location. First of many in your bus journey. Your smile is the other highlight of your journey so far! I'm loving it all!
Great idea to buy that bike .👍
If you have a small tent you could camp down by the river where you took your motorbike.
So good to see you enjoying life😀
The bug on the rock was a dragonfly larvae ready to change into a dragonfly.
SO wonderful to see you finally travelling, camping, and exploring.
ENJOY, ENJOY! Have a BLAST! You've earned it! 😊
I think this Adventurous spirit looks real good on you. Enjoy the journey!!!
I would go with the first camp site by the river. I don't know how low your bus sitts to the ground. Either way have fun
So awesome to see you finally getting out and exploring with the bus! I'm so jealous... my bus is at the mechanics and I can't wait to get it back and hit the road. Your channel inspired me to take the plunge and buy my dream bus and do the whole conversion myself. I'm so happy to see you enjoy bus life after all the hard work you put in!
That’s amazing 😊 good luck!
Good times 🚎🏍 😃
Emma you have the world, or at least the country at your feet, good luck where ever you go or stay but please be safe.
WOW! Well done, glad to see the build come together.
This was amazing !You're getting better at this !
" Keep on keeping on "
Life is beautiful...
Yay Emma! Yay Birbie!
Thank you for wearing a helmet! I don’t want this channel to end
I stopped to watch for the motorcycle content. I would suggest watching other RUclips like Tdubskid, Torture Test Magazine, Dork in the Road for the motorcycle camp lifestyle. But for motorcycle riding, especially off road, I'd watch Bret Tkacs, OffRoad-off course, Brake Magazine, and some others I can't remember off the top of my head that talk more about riding off road/adventure riding/dual sport. Enjoying the content!
There is both a rear and front rack a fit the monkey.
So Awesome! I love the motorcycle, you've got no limitations now. I wonder if they have little trailers for the bike?
Adventures with Emma and Birbie begins; I can't wait ti see what is next!
Hi Emma so good to see you happy again smiling with your friends that is really cool better than seeing you sad have fun stay safe and enjoy your ride
You go girl, love the spots your considering for a new overnight stay.
The 4th looked so fun with everyone! I wish I was there!! The river at the end of the video looked so peaceful, I’m glad you found a magical spot 😌😌
Fun music
The little Honda Monkey is so but I think I would try to find a luggage rack and rig up away to quick attach a milk crate for store runs. I hope you kept enjoying bus life 💯✌🤟🤘
Looks like an amazing week! Hope you have many more! Great video!
