in this lifestyle, happiness is important. just enjoy the stops and... put in picture montage of the beautiful world wherever you are
Thank you for these videos. I'm a housebound old fart and enjoy exploring the great outdoors vicariously through your adventures. Small advice: put mouse-proof goods (cans, jars, etc.) on your new shelves under the counter, put bread and not-mouse-proof things in upper-cabinet/shelf storage. Mice and bugs are everywhere! 🐭 🐜
Emma - don’t forget to check your gas & oil before & after your trips on the monkey. Birby too all fluids. Keep Safe . 👍👍
Here's a thought on your motorcycle loading, install a 12volt winch on the front of the ramp and hook it to your bike then you can slowly winch it up onto the platform safely. Stop by Osburn in North Idaho and I'd be happy to help you install it. But I'm sure you can do it on your own also. Be safe kiddo
Fresh air smells are such a treat when you travel.
I was thinking maybe you could lower your bike ramp. It looks like you have plenty of room to go lower and I think it would make loading much easier. I love the lake and your filming. I am disabled and I am enjoying seeing all the places you are visiting.
She is so adorable and honestly I don’t want to be where I am I want to be where she is! 💖☮️🏍
When you Smile we all smile with you 🙂
You are living the dream. Wonderful...Especially the monkey bike.
Hey Emma,
Great video and glad you had a good time where you were! Music festival! That's pretty exciting you played that down a bit (would have been good to see a some of that!) Fantastic looking place with the lake where you were paddle boarding!
As for your batteries, you'll TOTALLY "fry" them of you let them run down like that! (You're lucky of you haven't damaged them/the capacity even this time..) (DEFINITELY get that on road charging/alternator set up ASAP and in meantime, maybe connect to mains power to charge, if you get the opportunity to top them off for free when you can (if it's free/included in any nightly fees) if you pay for anywhere that is..
Very chilled video REALLY enjoyed it! I hope you kept the lense of the previous indicator you broke! (As you can use it to replace the current ones if you break another)
Have a great week! Cheers from London 👍😉😎🏴 x
I haven't finished watching so maybe you've done this, but grab some small tension rods (or eyelet hooks and small bungees) and throw them onto those new shelves when you drive and they'll keep everything in order 😊
Yep! Sea monsters 🐙 Especially when the water is really deep and dark.
Getting to use all your senses is one of the pleasures of riding a motorcycle. In a car you are too insulated from what goes on around you.
I like the shots of the road from the drivers seat. Nice perspective from that height.
I do believe I would get a walking ramp so I could walk up it when loading the bike
Of those places you like so much you want to buy land there; check with the local realtor, and have them call you when something comes up in your pricerange.
It just keeps getting better ! Love from Nashville'TN
9:14 Who else instantly went to thinking of Final Destination 😳🫣
Had to look this up, thank goodness I’d never seen that before 😂😅
Make and post as many videos as you need too Emma! We'll watch 'em!
You are living your best life! I'm not gonna lie, I'm a bit jealous. 😉 Beautiful lake and small town, love the Monkey trips too. You're doing great figuring everything out. Stay safe I look forward to the next one. If you don't already you should follow Leave Her Wild and A Bus Life Story, they could give you tips for your projects and connect you with lots of other bus folk. 😊🚌
🤣sea monsters, I can soooo relate!! I love being alone but my head thoroughly enjoys messing with me in the same way!
Enjoyed watching.Have you ever thought about a four legged companion? 👍 On the winch.☮️
You really are trying so hard to do everything yourself... which is inspiring for sure. But there are so many people connected to the bus life/van life etc. many have already figured out the best way to do things and they would be happy to help. You haven't really joined the traveling community yet and I know that is scary, especially for a young woman travelling alone, but there are meet ups/events all over the States and once you meet a few like minded people your life will get easier all round. Thinking someone might help with that charging while driving hook up, someone else might make your bike rack/ramp more sturdy and easier for you (definitely getting better at it though). Looking forward to the next one!
The main draw of your videos is watching you enjoying yourself and smiling so much. Your excitement for your new life looks so good on you. You're beautiful.
Try and find a longer ramp to make loading the bike super easy, maybe even a local welding shop can quick make you one!
My granddaughter told me last week when we were visiting family at a lake. That she could stay at the lake forever 🥰
Hey Emma if you check on line you can find a lot of places to travel to across the country and you can camp for free or for a low price. Hope that's little bit of information helps you out.
I stayed at that boat launch a year ago last March when my daughter and I were on a road trip.....but there was snow on the ground then. Such a surprise to discover you stayed there too.
Looks peaceful 👍🏻 thanks for Sharing your videos ❤️😁👍🏻
I'm a huge fan of what you're doing, and I also prioritize tasks in a similar manner. lol. But honestly, you are doing great. Just do me a favor, please be careful in those lakes when you are alone. I also have a thing about giant monsters under water, like if I can't see the bottom it freaks me out sometimes. Stay safe Emma :)
I really enjoy your videos, been watching you from the beginning of your bus build
I enjoy watching your videos and was sort of hoping you got the Monkey up on the first try. Good thing there was someone to help. We are made to be interdependent, so help is nothing to be ashamed of. Traveling mercies and safe journeys from Cincinnati, Ohio.
We just love your videos ...we really enjoyed your footage on your paddle board on the lake!
Enjoying the results of your work. The most precious feeling of all. =) Be aware not to be tempted to get a property on some lovely location, if you want to drive around though... 😇
Luv ya 😍 Emma 😊
Stay strong and enjoy exploring the United States 💯☺️ It's Soooo fun seeing new areas of the United States 🌟🌟💖
(I know first hand how Beautiful the United States is 😎☺️☺️🌟🌟💖)
What a wonderful lake to stay at. Temporary projects are the best. Have great travels, Stay safe and healthy thank you for sharing this with us today from Henrico County Virginia
all part of the learning curve
Emma that was a beautiful place you stayed at by the lake. You have so many beautiful places to see. Your journey and your positive attitude will see it happen. I don't know how you managed even getting the monkey up on its rack. I couldn't have ever done that. I can't drive a vehicle up car ramps. Lol. Have fun, be safe.
Emma, you need a car ramp to walk on so you can stay above the motorcycle. I almost cried when you dropped it, because my Honda Monkey looks exactly like yours.
You are awesome! Simply a wonderful woman that’s living your dream. Much love ❤️
Good to hear from you Emma. I was getting concerned. Your video's are so enjoyable. See you soon!
Another video and more smiles, your doing great.
We Love the Monkey rides you take. Great channel, the vids just keep getting better. Thanks
LOVE Birbie’s eyelashes.
Greetings Emma, find a large truck stop and get a truckers atlas that has every road and town listed in every state rather than relying on GPS. The atlas as mileages for every town to and from along with a world of other information.
Places you've been staying at a really beautiful you're awesome enjoy watching your videos
wow that town on the water looked lovely, and that parking spot on the water. I really want a paddle board or kayak now haha
Emma, the morning lake with tea was beautiful, peaceful, calming, relaxing.............I can go on and on!!!!!!
Emma I have to say you can sure run up on some beautiful places. Great Video 👍
Loved joining you on your motorcycle trip into town and back.
Just make another wooden ramp that will be placed next to the metal one. You can walk on it holding your bike. When the bike is ok you remove the wooden ramp.
Glad to see you finding your groove even with a little mishap here and there. Making memories that’s what’s all about. 🚎🚎🚎
I also want to say that I just recently found your channel and I really enjoy your content.
The times you have your paddle board out and wanting to take the bike down. If you lay the board along your ramp the few extra inches of height may help you get it up or down easier. Just a suggestion. Make sure paddle board is not wobbly. cheers
Howdy. I like your stories and your life. Thanks for sharing 🙂
That's my travels also sometimes it's not love at first sight but extreme love over time and the mosquitoes this year when they bite you it's extremely painful and the red spots and the bump stay for days and days weeks it's horrible they're nasty little critters or so than I remember in my past
Perfect "next video" segue!
There is an easy way to load the bike pull the bus up to a small hill fold the ramp down on the hill it's easier to push in to place ⛅
The beauty of your plan, or lack of, to me is the whole idea. Being and doing is not concrete. Continue to ignore the manuals written by others and be at peace while you learn YOUR ways. You are doing great and a joy to watch. May your journey bring much peace.
Any day that you learn something new, is not a wasted day and you are learning every day Emma. Enjoy.
Nice video. It would be nice to also record on camera some of your interactions with "the locals" in the places where you are at. Like the kids who helped you put the motorbike stright, the place in the summer town where you had a snak, or the men fishing in the lake. It would add to the video, I"m in Europe and have no idea what those people are like.
You inspire me. Safe travels 💓Upstate NY in the house!!
Hi Emma glad you are taking it easy enjoying bus life! ☺️
When are you getting a dog?? Every time I watch your vlogs (which I love) I feel as though something is missing - then I realize it's a dog!! Glad to see you having such a good time!!!
She already said she is never going to get a dog to travel on the bus and she doesn't have to or need one either.
Once again a wonderful trip. What goes down will go back up and so it goes.
For sure a great place to stay. Can imagine you would like to stay longer. I hope you find many more in your adventures. I do love your increasing problem solving technique’s (calling your dad 😀) and your pride when you fixed it. Stay safe and many happy miles 👌
Hi emma, glad to see uv calmed down and relaxing and enjoying bus life, take care
good job
If you want some help installing the components for it to charge while you’re driving I’m a Mechanic that has a lot of experience with electrical and these types of installs. I live in Utah and would be happy to help out. It would be my small way of helping out with what you’re doing.
What a life you're living . . . . . The bus driving video is a stark contrast to the episode one thumbnail.
Thank you for sharing Emma. 🙂
Love it. Great seeing the motorcycle content and everything else.
It’s joyful seeing you have all those great experiences, the bike ride, the paddle boarding, etc.
You probably realize, though, that there’s a lot left to finish up with the bus build.
Thank you so much for taking us along on your journey.
I am enjoying it immensely.
Good Vibrations
Definitely
Could make the bike rack wider or have a step made you can step on as you pull the bike up
The problem you are having loading and unloading your motorcycle on to the carrier stems from the fact that as the motorcycle is going up the ramp you are still standing on the ground, this puts you below the motorcycle as you are loading it, which does not give you the leverage you need to control the bike. What you need is something like an automotive ramp, like the ones you drive cars up on to change the oil (you can get them from Walmart), so as you are loading the motorcycle you are also walking up the little ramp, which puts you in a much better position to control the bike. Just set the ramp up next to the motorcycle ramp, and as the bike goes up it's ramp you walk up your ramp. I think you would have a much easier time doing it that way.
What a great video. So peaceful and fun. So happy for you. Wish I'd done that when I was young. Be careful and soak every moment in. Time passes quickly. :)
Please only take this as the compliment that it is supposed to be but you' are a very small person and to me that is super cute I happen to be 6'4 230 lbs and I can't help being big 🙄 but you can't help it being tiny.... you are kind Of tiny.. you totally melt my heart with ponytail the shorts and the bare feet it just makes me smile to watch your channel grew up back east ( Lewistown Illinois)and everybody walked around looking like that so it just makes it feel comfortable... like home and I'm sure that you're an inspiration to a lot of young girls that are wanting to be strong like you and going out and being adventurous and thank you for showing them the way it's okay to be little but mighty !!!!!!!!!!!!!and again I smile out loud every time I watch your channel and I hope everybody else does as well thank you so much for sharing,,🥺🇺🇸😎🤗🚐🙂😁❤️❤️❤️❤️🐈⬛❤️❤️
Great adventures as always,
When loading your bike. If you can plan an spot that a little higher then normalcy Bike load better.
Definitely hook up full time charging, better for battery longevity
Awesome thank you for the video please stay safe and careful no you are really a beautiful woman
Hi Emma just keep the videos as they are. It's just natural just you and birdie. and now monkey. I Look forward to seeing the videos.
nice look
Excellent video..
Ty. Enjoyed your video…….🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸⛱🏄♀️🏋🏼♂️🏖⏰⏰
You should buy a second battery just like the one you have and hook them up negative to negative positive to positive then you will have 400 amp hours of battery life, might just save you from having this problem again, you can never have to many amp hours
you're gonna be 45, happy, still traveling around and tinkering with your temporary fixes on Birbie. It will be fun to be along for the ride the whole time here, too.
That town is so cute. You really end up in beautiful places, thank you for sharing your journey. Have you seen the stick on strip lights vanlifers are using, makes the bus look so cozy.
I was wondering how you were finding your places to stay?
I will be traveling in my RV next year and
I'm looking for all the helpful hints I can get for my travels.
Much thanks. Safe travels
Good luck!
Hmmm. I have to find that lake you stayed at:) I’m about 45 mins from that area. Love biking that trail there.
It might help a little bit wider platform to put your little motorcycle on you're kind of stuck with that 6/8 in if you were to add towards the bus it would give you leeway when you're trying to get it up there
Ive been following you since about the 5th video and I must say these past couple of videos its so nice to see you smiling and enjoying life. Keep it up girl!
Hella trip addition
this land is your land; this land is my land
You amaze each and every week. I love how you enjoy every day to the fullest. Safe travels love. Xoxo
Tender Mercies Girl !!
When do we see the video on the Monkey's Oil Change? If the fuel tank fishing episode is any indicator....the hilarity factor for Monkey maintenance aught to be off the charts. And I hope your marking all those spots you visited on IOverlander so us slowpokes can check out some of these awesome sights too.
Your skills are just improving in all facets. Proud of you.
This has been so so so fun to watch! It’s getting me so hyped up for my skoolie I’m about to build! Can’t wait to see where your adventures go next!
