For drugstore alternative, I used revlon colorstay for swimming with my bf and bitch I was so suprised it didn't move and I didn't even use powder 😂
seloveheart I use the Estee Lauder pressed powder, and I alternate between Maybelline baby skin and smashboxs primer, oh and a great loose setting powder is coty airspun powder, its amazing!

-nyx and Maybelline have really good primers
-the best longlasting foundations that I've tried are Loreal stay matte and Maybelline matte and poreless
-the nyx HD, Maybelline Anti-aging and Maybelline fit me concealers are SO GOOD
-nyc has a nice loose translucent powder
-Maybelline fit me powder or rimmel stay matte
-Maybelline, Loreal, nyx and Makeup Revolution all have amazing setting spray

this actually works... i tried this routine out and i have dry skin, and this did not dry me out, and i had this look on for 12+ hours. super amazing!!! thank you so much!!
im an oily bitch so i bake my entire face with translucent powder for 10 minutes then use my KVD foundation powder to dust away the extra. then to get rid of the powdery look i use setting spray, fan dry with my hands and then do the rest of my makeup and set AGAIN with setting spray afterwards. i stay oil free for 12-14 hours with that technique :D

i use a combo of the anastasia stick foundation and the matte liquid foundation by makeup forever
Great technique! I have super oily skin as well and I feel that setting spray and baking the face is what really makes the difference to lock in the makeup.
The primer is so expensive that it has a payment plan available lol!

This tutorial is her showing you what SHE does. She isn't forcing you guys to do all of this so stop saying "why are the products so expensive" "you expect us to use that much powder?" Like no she doesn't expect you to. She's just telling you her techniques and if you don't like all the tricks she does then don't do them or add your own version of it. No one is making you do all of these techniques and using these exact products. Calm down

I'm obsessed with spraying my setting spray, pushing it in with my beauty blender, and then fanning the rest til it dries. It really helps if there are any spray marks or anything like that. And it seals everything in sooo well

You should do a "backwards makeup challenge" where you do your normal makeup but in reverse order. E.g. Setting spray first and primer last. I think it would be a really fun challenge for you to try

Martina ! it didn't make me break out, but I'm an oil waterfall, and I perspire on my face, so it didn't work that well for me. I actually never use a real primer anymore. I tend to just slather my face with my gel moisturizer and kind of use that as a primer?

nyx and maybelliene have great primers. The benefits porefetional may seem pricy but it's definately not $200 and it WORKS. A good foundation is Revlon or Loreal stay matte if you want dupes for that.
try the high adherence primer from The Ordinary, it's like 5 dollars.
Samantha Merritt also the high spreadability fluid primer by the ordinary is fantastic. It makes your skin look so smooth!
Smashbox has amazing primers that range from $12 (for deluxe or travel sizes) to around $40, which is slightly pricey imo but you don't need a lot and they work great
I mean this in the nicest way possible because I myself love make up, but omg you look so incredibly beautiful without it!!! Like your skin looks sooo radiant and healthy!!!

Chloe Mount You don't have to buy every product she uses... Just use what works for you and buy what you don't already have (for example if you don't have a setting spray, you can either buy the one she uses or another one that's cheaper, like a nyx one)

I love how people are not able to keep in mind that Nikkie is a makeup artist before being a RUclipsr. She gets send products, and she needs to invest in products (expensive or not) that WORKS, because she needs her CLIENTS to be satisfied with what she does. Why be mad for the products she uses, it's her job. I wouldn't get mad at a painter for using expensive paint if the results are amazing ! Same here.
Plus, she's stated more than 20 times in her past videos that this primer is ridiculously expensive and that she wishes there was a cheaper drugstore option but never found something similar. If you were a true Nikkie fan, you would know that

Am I the only one that hates the "foundation on lips" look. I always have to wipe my lips
isra a I don't really like it either, but other beauty gurus e.g. Jamie Genevieve always use foundation on their lips because their lips are so pigmented - they use the foundation to create a neutral base for lipstick
isra a when you have pigmented lips like us, it's a life saver
isra a I hear ya! It gives a ring around the inner parts of the lips where the foundation and lipstick stop and the moisture of your lips start (I also get chapped lips from it). I've never seen anyone wear foundation on their lips and not have crusty stuff buildup somewhere on their lips throughout the day. I see it on Nikki all the time and from experience. I know there are make up artists out there that can't stand that trick because of how it makes a lipstick behave throughout the day.

Aaaah! I've been using my hairdryer on the lowest setting (almost nothing wind or heat) after setting my face using setting spray for about 4 months now. This has worked so great and I've got several comments from my co-workers and friends about how good my make up looks :D

Yeah! :D But on the lowest air and heat. Works bomb and is so much faster than waving your hands or someting, plus the low heat helps it really lock everything into place like your normal body temperature does. Try it out :)
You look like a unicorn. Honestly I wish my skin reacted that well to makeup! I always look sand-papery or cakey if I apply more than a little bit of it!

Splendetta the Lancôme foundation is actually very reasonable in Australia it is cheaper than urban decay naked skin foundation it's $57 here so I would say go check it out

sofia rios I have the same type of skin. I set my face with powder, then spray with a setting spray and while my face is still damp I go over my face with a damp sponge to suck up all the excess powder. I definitely couldn't do 4 layers of powder but for 1 layer it works soooo well. you'll be set without drying your skin out :)
I have also very dry skin but you need to exfoliate your skin 3 times a week. It really helps to make your base less dry.
okay. my base last forever and i use 95% of drugstore.
1. Nyx Angel Veil Primer
2. Wet N Wild Photofocus Foundation mixed with Loreal True Match
3. Tarte Shape Tape Concealer mixed with Nars Radiant Creamy
4. undereyes set with a combo of Maybelline powder in Translucent and the Kat Von D correcting powder in Petal
5.foundation set with Loreal True Match powder mixed with Wet N Wild Photofocus Powder (ONLY A LIL. I DONT PACK IT ON)
this base STAYS for hours!!!!

alexandra stoica I can't even do that. I have to miss my undereyes with foundation and make sure there is only concealer there because it makes them look so old and dry. And I only apply a touch of powder

OMGGG I tried the Sisley primer in store and it is sooooo sticky I was so shook! You definitely wasn't exaggerating with that, and I can see how your makeup can proper stick to that! I really want it now but just need to save for it LOL its super pricey but I feel like its so worth it
